Re: How would you invest right now?
by

Hey guys,

I'm completely overwhelmed by the sheer amount of information available right now, however I can't decide.

I really want to invest like $5k in something, even more, but dont know in what.
I was thinking about buying two litecoin mining rigs, but what next?

What would you guys do?
Thanks

If you are going to mine for the sake of mining, as in you're passionate about the technology that drives it and are willing to deal with the upkeep/noise/electricity rather than hoping it'll get you rich quick, then definitely invest in a good scrypt mining rig. But even if you do, buy like 2 bitcoins while they're low. Smiley

Yes, that would be really cool.

Re: will the bitcoin reach $1000 one day...?

I think in the next few years Bitcoin will reach it's peak and will shortly be forgotten about as more people cash out.

I seriously doubt that this is a likely scenario.

Re: [WTS] 1 BTC Casascius Coins (U.S)
by

Not to be rude, I'm still kind of a noob and have only heard fables of these coins. Why would I pay 2.5BTC for 1BTC?

Its a collectors thing. Casascius is the first producer of Physical Bitcoins, he is currently not producing more due to legal issues, so he may not be able to produce more, and most of all, Its a collectors thing  Smiley

There are 1 Oz gold coins valued at about $1250 strictly on metal value, but are worth thousands of times the value of their metal, due to the numismatic side of it. Same applies with these coins, some people think they will be worth tons of money in the future as some of the earliest Bitcoin memorabila, there are some people who think they their premium will continue to scale, there are some people who want to diversify their assets, and there are just some people that think they are pretty.

All that matters is that there is a market for them, and people are willing to pay 2.5-3 BTC for them at this moment. You should see some of the other coins, the 2012 10 BTC Silver Casascius coin is actively selling for >25 BTC

Thanks for the information, I wish I could afford one but I've only mined 1.7BTC thus far. Tongue

Don't really like Tom Hanks though.

Interesting... I love the guy, and so far I never heard of anyone disliking him. I think you're in luck though, the nature of the movie makes it so there's not a whole lot of character acting and everything is delivered pretty matter of fact and straight forward. Watch it like an intense documentary and you'll get a kick out of it for sure, you see a lot of epic naval shit.

Not to be racist, but I don't know a single black person that owns a bitcoin or is in the bitcoin world.  Anyone?

I worked at Fatburger and one of my black coworkers was all over that shit, he never ended up buying as far as I'm aware so I guess there's that though.

I just saw Captain Phillips last night, the movie was great and putting yourself in the dudes shoes makes the experience all the better considering it's a pretty solid representation of what actually happened.

As title states, need a 0.24btc loan.  Can't log into my virwox account (for reasons unknown to me...server down?) but need this money asap to complete a transaction on here.  Please refer to my feedback.  Have 7 million coye as collateral.  Will most likely pay back full balance by this evening, but no later than saturday morning.

Thank you!

Your trust page leaves me wanting, not a lot of confidence in there.

I completely agree that those guys acted like imbecilic cavemen however, can you really blame a room full of mega nerds for not at all knowing how to treat a woman? Let alone expect them to have a clue how they think... Just my thoughts Smiley

Now I just want to know how the wallet summary can show a double-direction arrow and a n/a address?
Doesn't that obviously indicate that the transaction is invalid and so it should be reversed by the system?

I am pretty sure the fact that the system has not reversed the action means it will not do so. Sorry about your loss man, don't do anything irrational.

I hate dogecoin because it's retarded, you need like a million coins to make like 50 bucks that's just dumb.

And yet Bitcoin was at the same stage once, that's how this game works noob. Diffiulty is low enough to mine thousands of them daily - thousands. If Dogecoin ever even becomes worth $1 each I'm good for the rest of my life lol.

I have been using coinbase out of fear that MtGox won't deliver. Anyone in USA use them and get wire transfers recently?

I think you're doing yourself a favor by avoiding Gox. Smiley
