Re: Why Good Altcoins Fail

It's because devs make no money from PoW mined coins! It's as simple as that.

Bitcoin succeeded because of the idea. Etheruem succeeded because it ran an ICO. I'm not sure why everyone hates on ICOs. Instead of buying a miner and mining PoW coins, go buy ICOs and/or buy PoS coins and stake them. Either way you are paying a lot of money to get into a coin. Instead of wasting money on PoW give the money to the dev and see what they can do. ICOs are the best.

Does it mean the ZCash Classic will fail? It seems it does not have a good plan to support the further development.

I think the developers should be paid for their work. The bitcoin developers are not paid, so it is controlled by the BS.

Good point
And i think developer of ETH has been paid every months, because as we know ETH has much investors who making investment into it. I think developer of ETH just need control the coin in my opinion money is not problem for them.

That is good. That means that they are more independent from the companies who pay them and act properly.

I would sell all my bitcoins if i have a emergency situation in my family or if we need more money for that emergency. So i do keep my bitcoin do to wait that price getting high. Many people they would like to sell their bitcoins if they see that the price low their panic selling the bitcoin because they are afraid to lose their money.

The bitcoin is to be used. If you have emergency, you can sell the bitcoin or use it to buy things, that is even better.

I would sell my Bitcoins if the price reaches to $ 5k. This is fair price range which neither is exaggerated nor undervalued like current price is. There are some predictions like Kim Dotcom said next year price will be $2k for a single Bitcoin. If that happens then $ 5K is inevitable. That is first target to see how price reaches there.

If the bitcoin price can reach $5k, it will probably reach $50k as well. So it is better not to sell.

Third party card issuers and payment solutions providers may find themselves at a slight disadvantage following Bitcoin adoption. Wallet-to-wallet Bitcoin transactions will eliminate the absolute need for POS terminals and even reduce the demand for credit and debit cards. However, the impact will be limited, resulting in a fall in profits at the worst.

The Italian banks have problems for long time. Why have them explode and cause big problems to the country?

The price will slowly dwindle down and so will the volume. Anyone stuffing money in ETH at this point is either delusional, in denial, or were conned into believing it would someday rise again. The legalities haven't even set in yet. Wait until class action lawsuits enter the picture and a federal or state investigation begins.
Legalities? Under what country will they be brought???

Will the miners all over the world be sued? Could be be sued by the attacker or the Ethereum holder, or DAO holder?

I do not think the miners will be sued. It is action of getting money back from thieves. They will be praised.

About 80% of the miners who voted support the soft fork. Is there any progress about implementing the fork?

Any idea about what percentage of miners actually voted?

According to the http://ethpool.org/stats/votes, 25% of the miners voted. 80% of them support the soft fork.

Please don't tell me that it only needed 20% of pro-fork votes to force 100% the miners in that pool to follow their will?

Everyone who doesn't vote should of course count as a no vote. But instead they just don't care about what they want, but they still use the hashrate of the non voters to enforce the fork? Thats not fair and it is not democratic!

The same game with ethermine.org...

I agree with you. But in this democratic world, no vote, no power. We should persuade all the miners to vote.

I will not sell my bitcoin if the bitcoin is not overvalued. When the bitcoin price is $5000 this year, I will sell it. Otherwise, I will keep it.
