Re: The Bitcoin environment seems toxic right now... has it felt like this before?

FUCK THIS SHIT!!

You seriously MUST be CRAZY to have anything to do with BITCOIN!! This is my observation after only three months!!

If you think this is the new frontier in currency, unfortunately you are DELIRIOUS!

My posts are now being moved, and I am called a troll for my negative, BUT HONEST experiences and posts made about the SCAM that is BITCOIN.

My technical issues were never solved, I had two payments never received, even though they were on the blockchain, they were never accounted for in the QT and no "EXPERTS" here have ever solved the problem.
Subjects and posts left are now being manicured, and I'll even go as far as saying it was GRUE who intercepted my P.M., logged onto my PC through Teamviewer, stole my Private keys and deleted the TeamViewer history.

NOW I'm getting allegations of being pseudo and quasi!!

I cannot even find one soul to take what I am saying seriously and offer help.

BITCOIN - Just one giant Ponzi scam run by criminals!

I will taking my own advise given and will be returning with a vengeance!!

You shouldn't be using a program like TeamViewer. There are botnets that actively scan the web for vulnerable systems running programs like TeamViewer or VNC and they will brute force access.

Thank you for the responses. My concern isn't with real life applications (i.e. purchasing something from a store). I understand 0 confirmations is okay.

There has just been a number of instances lately online where it has taken me upwards of 30 minutes to an hour to get a single confirmation. Not to mention the services I use require at least 3 confirmations (exchanges) -- it can get annoying.

The worst part is I send this with a $0.06 fee. You think it would receive some kind of priority.

Unfortunately this type of request will more likely lead to the closing of this section altogether, as that is the current leaning of most senior members and mods of this place. The more problems they have from here, the sooner this place goes poof. Maybe it's for the best though, a new launch place will inevitably start up and hopefully with a mod team dedicated to cleaning out the bullshit.

Ideally this is what I would like to see. That sub-forum is a complete cess pool and the amount of deceipt and scamming that goes on there is mind boggling

As said above , the restrictions gradually ease.

The real purpose is to stop a Newbie from posting as many threads as fast as they can.
( This includes spam-bots )
The 360 second rule is only for Newbies Cheesy

Not gonna lie, it's pretty annoying lol

Disclaimer: I don't have a background in computer science like I assume most of you guys do so forgive me if I sound ignorant

Bitcoin transactions have been too slow for me. It takes at least 20 minutes for a transaction to confirm WITH the standard fee of $0.06 which is already pretty damn high to begin with. Is this a recent development (i.e. blockchain bloat) or is this where Bitcoin is headed?

How exactly is this a criminal enterprise? The community needs this. In fact, I think BitcoinTalk administrators should be pressured to moderate the alt-coin announcement forums more severely

Re: Can you force the US government to accept a private key?

It is legally possible to force the US government to do things against its will, for example look into a Freedom of Information Act request.  They are also legally obligated to do certain things under certain circumstances, for example keeping juvenile criminal records from becoming public.  It is more an example of the second type I was looking for: some existing method I could use to send them a key they were then obligated to keep, and keep privately.

And Seriouscoin?  You need to get out more...

I understand what you're saying but that would kind of function would most likely exist far outside the realm of any kind of cryptocurrency or even financial sector (i.e. the state has to release assets only to someone identified in a will etc)
