From those ethereum forks, only ethereum classic can be considered as success like bitcoincash (it forked from bitcoin). For other token forks, it's just like to earn easy money purpose since those aren't active after it forked
It's really lazy to call everything a "scam" retrospectively from mid-2019...
But in 2017, Ethereum forks were hot and a LOT of money was stacked by hard working traders...
Some of these projects had talented devs and are still in active development.
UBQ was able to list tokens like DOT, APX, GEO and is still worth $5 million...
PIRL has great devs and keeps rolling out new features.
Several of these projects got crushed by the Cryptopia fraud.
Are all those PIVX forks doing better? Oh, they all went to zero. Too bad.

Seems to me, it will be faster.
One reason I'm impressed by ARRR is that it finds nodes fast and syncs fast...
Someone cares about the network and must be running dedicated nodes (2 of my connections have 15 ms ping time)
By contrast, many anon coins are slow to sync including XMR (hours to sync a few weeks, zzzzzzzzzzz)...
Or a coin like ONION which takes forever to sync over Tor.
Anon space is super-competitive with lots of complicated solutions... simple and fast is the way to go
It is very easy to apply basic logic here:
(a) hodl requires zero skill, in fact, the total inability to make a decision is considered positive
(b) successful trading in any financial market requires elite skills
So now the question is... do elite professionals make more money than zombies?

This is a common fork issue:
(1) For windows go to /AppData/roaming/komodo/Pirate
(2) copy the wallet.dat file to a safe place
(3) delete the Pirate blockchain, everything except wallet.dat
(4) download the latest version of Pirate Ocean from pirate.black web site
(5) run, when entire blockchain re-syncs in a few hours your coins will be there

What happening with this coin ?
Not sure, honestly this coin is ridiculously undervalued right now. The introduction of PoAS should have given a huge price jump by an order of magnitude because it is just as innovative and private as other coins like, say, Zcash. Spectrecoin is basically Monero with Proof-of-Stake instead of PoW.
I hope that some whale will recognize the value of this coin.
Probably right now the price dump is just caused by noobs who are trying to time the Bitcoin market.Of course, since Amsterdex closed down it would be nice to have a different exchange where SPECTRE can be traded, maybe that's a hint the XSPEC team could follow.
Also when the mobile wallet gets released next year that should give another confidence boost because it is basically the implementation of the SpectreCash idea from years ago (having a coin that is as private as physical cash and can be used as a drop-in replacement by paying with your smartphone).The devs have really got their act together and XSPEC looks great and works flawlessly
Also, ZEC is probably the worst coin ever designed ever...

OK, so I spent 30 minutes looking at this = storage + hosting on DPOS chain + IFPS...
Everything is half finished and it's a siloed project with no synergy, so who is gonna use it?
Maybe you could float this story in 2017, but in 2019 your competition is billion $$$ projects like filecoin, etc...
SHIFT has more volume on Livecoin than Bittrex... virtually all projects that are down 96% are a lousy investment...

Yes, that repository belongs to the Github of ZCash foundation and ZCash foundation is made up of ZCash developers. It should be safe.
And which addresses can I use, T or Z?
I used to read that using Z-addresses can cause problems.
Don't use Z addresses until and unless you really want to keep your balance private. Z-addresses are fairly difficult to handle.
Therein lies the problem, having both T and Z addresses:
(a) complex and error-prone
(b) kills privacy because people don't use stealth addresses
Not only that, these jokers forced you to move all your coins to T for sapling...
Long story short... ZEC has zero privacy = chainanalysis will expose everything...
ycash does not address any of this... sell into pump.
Down 25-30% versus BTC in 2 weeks since the Pump...
Devs have already drained $300-400 million and will draining this bitch to zero..
zk algos are ubiquitous on multiple platforms today (see something like self-replicating zk VMs with REN)

holders for the last couple of years.
Siacoin is earned by renting out your unused hard drive space. You can also mine it using your hard drive. It doesn't stake and you cant earn more simply by having some.
The catch is getting used and/or new HD's to rent out such space does not count. Not prudent or feasible or practical at all. The amount of space to make anything on siacoin storage
would require you to have an existing data hall and just do this for kicks. In that you already own the hardware and using it for data storage anyway, so why not use the unused space. It
seems that may be more trouble than it is worth at this time in the sia-tech storage universe for even that to be worthwhile.
I've said it before. Much talk of this storage option but very little in the real world, to justify such equipment purchases either used HD's or new HD's to make this feasible at this time.
But a lot more real-world $$$ can be made in the ASIC miner money making by sia-tech (what is it the 7th batch now?). To top that off, even the last of the ASIC miner batches
they are making are for GRIN coin and not siacoin. You add the other leg to the stool that is overbuilt that is the coin itself. Likely, IMHO, for the amount of work done.
The last leg of this 3 legged stool is the siacoin that is out in the world, much more difficult and much more coin than the siacoin storage network could justify even if it was up in full.
Lots of issues. Couple years behind Timeline. The emphasis on making equipment vs promoting the storage aspect of siacoin. Quite frankly, I'm surprised the coin is not 1/5th the
price it is currently. Not looking good IMHO. Not at all. They need to step it up so AT LEAST a hobbyist can make a sia-tech storage HD system out of used or new parts and play with
it and at LEAST make enough money for electricity in (you pay) for storage payments (to your) in (siacoin storage pays). Without that to move things along it looks like to me, full
stagnation for the storage option..the 'supposed' crown jewel of decentralized, everyone, anonymous cloud storage for everyone.
Naw, at the present time, I"m not buying the hype. They are going sideways on this project at best and likely backsliding big time without our full awareness.

I haven't checked out the network adoption statistics recently, do you still lose money on the renting out space aspect? Are they just not marketing towards growing the customer base? I thought it was weird when they went into ASICs and thought, that will really distract from their main goal of growing the number of people storing files on it.
I'd really, really, really like to be proven wrong on all this siacoin and sia-tech drama...

That was a temporary fall. Enigma has been working on the development of its platform. Smart contracts that are used in ENG will gain more popularity. It uses Intel's SGX technology which is supposed to provide more privacy for these smart contracts. I guess, although the project is still enough young, it has a very good future. ENG can also gain this year reaching 1-1,5 dollars.
ENG is a decent addition to any #DeFi portfolio...
The platform appears well-designed and is nearing completion...
Meanwhile, there are regular 10-15% pumps that one can swing trade

ZEC is probably the worst designed coin I've ever seen...
Even with a 20% tax they didn't have a proper client until recently...
Even a simple tx creates change accounts so you end up with a mess of dust...
It so much suck that my losses are very limited due to the massive sucking
