Just wanted to share my settings for my 6 @ 5700XT's on Simplemining

Core: 1345 volts cvdcc 750
Memory: 901 (1802) default
55 M/hs average per card, 770w at the wall

Going to add some pics but I am worried that one of my cards memory voltage is a little high. Is 84 C too high for 24/7 mining?

Thanks for the info. It looks like it only works on Windows. I will see if I can mine in Windows with it. Right now I can't mine in Windows for some reason.

Hello all,

Just wanted to share my experience. I currently have 2 MSI 5700XT Evoke. I know lot's of peeps don't like the Evokes but they are working pretty well for me. I have another one on the way and 3 Sapphire Pulse 5700 XT's. I will update when they get here next week.

I have also used CM exclusively till now. So learning how to tweak PM. Also selling most of my cards and replacing them with 5700 XT's.

Both cards have had there 1500 bios straps copied all the way down for both memory types.

Here is my experience with the 5700 XT's mining under Windows 10 with all updates: (using PM 5.1c, and many different drivers)
With the straps copied, it hashed at 52.xx Mh/s with stock settings and used 240 watts. If I tried to change any settings (voltage, core, memory) it will crash. I tried changing settings with MSI Afterburner, OverdriveNtool and Radeon setting that came with the driver. It doesn't matter which one I used, it will crash as soon as I change any settings.

So I decided to try SMOS. I have been mining since 2017 but it's been awhile since I used SMOS. SMOS is also using PM 5.1c:
It took a little tweaking, but I think I got it stable and running well. I have both cards hashing at 54.7ish. It is using 280 watts at the wall with both cards attached. My settings are 1342 core 900 mem and 1313 mvdd.

I will attach pictures.

I hope this helps someone.

Re: AMD Mem Tweak - Read/modify mem timings on the fly - [Vega Friendly] [Win/Linux]

I would like to share my experience with RX 470/480's

My settings:
Win 10 1703
19.4.1 drivers
No MSI Afterburner installed
No Wattman installed
Claymore 14.7, faster than PhoenixMiner
AMDMemoryTweak
OverdriveNTool 0.2.8
All Gpu's have modded straps, mix of 4Gb/8Gb

Notes on Claymore Straps:
Strap 1 Works best on all my Samsung memory and some Elpidia
Strap 2 Works best on Hynix and some Elpidia
I use rxboost 21 in Claymore (most stable for me), changes the tREF to 25 when viewed with AmdMemTweak.

Here is the order that I do everything:
1. Set all settings in OverdriveNtool/AmdMemtweak (it works the same) core/mem/volts/fanspeed
2. Start Claymore with rxboost 21 and strap x (see above)
3. I let Claymore run for about 5 mins (The hashrate is not max yet)
4. I then toggle the timing level in overdrive/amdmemtweak from 0 to 1 and click apply
5. Wait about 15 seconds and then change the timing level back to 0

For some reason the toggle increases the hashrate for all my cards (not sure why, since I put it back to 0).

https://i.imgur.com/ZaAhHPM.png
I have a 10 gpu rig hashing at 313.9 Mh/s using about 1416 watts. I am still working on getting the power down but each card is using between 115-122 watts. I know I am not breaking any speed records and using more watts than some. I just wanted to share my experience with everyone.

I hope this helps,
Zerb

Just a quick question. Is there a brand name for the Vega's to stay away from. It seems I see more problems with Power Color than any other brand. At least from my research. I want to play with the Amd Mem Tweek tool soon, so about to bulk up on Vega's. Thanks in advance.

CryptoCrane, when I bought it they said I had 3 days. Today is day 3.

Do you know how I can try to get CGMiner started?

I have 4 proper psu's and have tried all of them. I have underclocked to 400M and still nothing. I have tried one blade at a time and still nothing.

I didn't buy it from bitman, would they still honor a warranty?

Thanks for everyone's help so far. I am leaning toward the controller board because not even the fans rpm are showing up in the miner status tab. That would have nothing to do with hashing or enough power because the fans are running at a 100%. How do you know they are running at 100% you ask, because of the noise. Wow, they do put out some air, but the noise.

There is my pool page. I bought some new psu's today and it is still not working. Yes the fans come on about 30 secs after I turn it on and they run wide open at 100% and are very loud. They vid's on youtube are not even half the noise level as mine.

VirosaGITS - I have no idea what you said. I do not know linux very well and didn't think I had to do all that on the S7. That's why I bought it and not other machines. I don't even see a command line to do all that.

The network is working because I can log into the machine and I have pinged a few sights inside of the S7 software.

Btw it is a batch 8.

I have set up my pools. I am going to try to buy a bigger power supply tomorrow. Then we should know for sure. I don't know if it makes a difference, but it is very loud. After about 30 secs after boot up, I think the fans go to 100%. I have seen some videos on youtube and such and they are not even close to how loud mine is. Don't know if that means anything or not.

I just underclocked it all the way down to 400M and still nothing. I am not sure if yall can see them or not, but the links in my post above is a pic of the miner status tab. Nothing is reading. I don't see any X or O to show the status of the chips or the speed of the fans, just the categories are there. Does this mean that the controller is bad? I don't think it's a power problem with it being underclocked so low. Thanks for all yalls help so far, hopefully only a few more steps till mining.

I don't know if either one of those links work. Do you think setting it to 600m would work? Or do I need to go lower?

The psu's says it puts out 900w with 120v. If the whole system is 1250ish watts, that is a little over 400w. I will get another psu tomorrow to find out for sure. I am going to go try to underclock it and see if that works.

1 ps has 6 connectors and runs 2 hash boards. 1 ps has 4 connectors and runs the other hash board and the controller. Yes, it's 120V.

Do you mean in powering up? I have turned them on at the same time and then the 2 hash boards on one ps and then the other hash and controller. So you want me to reverse that order?

and thanks for your help

I have 2 hp 1000w psu's with X-Adapter REV 2 & 14AWG THHN Cables(the kits you see on amazon, etc). I can't get the red light by the ethernet port to go off. I think that light means it's in some kind of fault mode. There are no stats in the miner status page, not even the fans. It's like they don't exist. I need to figure out what the problem is. Can I just plug in one board at a time to see if they work independently to see if one of the boards is bad? I unplugged everything and checked the power supplies and was getting 12.79V on all 10 connectors.

All 10 power connectors are plugged in. The control board is connected to all 3 hash boards with the ribbon cables.

Any help would be much appreciated.
