I like this...  But how much is actually saved in fees? is it worth the wait?
I do recall a free transaction accelerator, but it obviously needs the transaction ID, which I do not know, and I don't think its listed on the website anywhere.  Be neat to try it and see if it actually works.

Found one:

https://www.toxigon.com/free-bitcoin-tx-accelerator/

I do actually believe Kano adds a minimal (not 0) fee to the transaction already. With Kano only taking .9% (0% this month), it's definitely in his best interest to keep the fees as low as possible. If the payment takes too long, hAe'll sometimes up the transaction fee to help speed it along.

Is this because you send the transaction with a 0 fee payable and then confirm it ourselves with the next block we find, unless someone else adds it to their block and makes no fee from it?

Bingo

Kano,

I'm sure you're already aware and you have your reasons, but have you thought about utilizing CloudFlare? They offer unlimited DDOS mitigation and their CDN might take a little load off the server. Anyway, it might make it so you don't have to remove login functionality while the DDOS is in effect.

I believe the size discrepancy is due to SegWit, the signature details are now removed from the actual block details. So the stripped size is the block data minus the signature details. Maybe I am totally wrong though, but that's how I currently understand it.

This was so helpful, thanks a lot - really appreciate it!  Smiley

Quick question: how is the "5N" calculation worked out? and can you give me an example?

For instance, my N-Avergae is 4.14TH/s -- what does this mean? is this standard for an s9 miner?

The payout help page might help explain this best.

lol got 0.00435827 BTC after 29 hour of mining  with 80 TH

Please read: https://kano.is/index.php?k=payout

There is a ramp up time before you reach 5Nd and get full payouts on blocks. It's currently a little over 3 days before you reach 5Nd, so you are still in the ramp up period. Before you complain about the ramp up period, just remember the inverse applies to when you have miners go down or you stop mining on the pool all together; It's a method to help decrease variance.

If you do not understand the payout methods for the pool, then there's nothing we can do to help you and your immediate results expectations. We love having more hash rate join the pool, so hopefully that page will help you understand and stick around.

Either way, best of luck with your mining.

I send mine to Coinbase because I am splitting with a couple of buddies, so Coinbase wallet to another Coinbase wallet avoids any transfer fees.

Not surprised we are struggling to get that block...at, 81hrs and 11 mins we only had 15 users...well we had 1111 and that's 15 in my book Smiley

Once the BTC gets to your wallet, it's only whoever controls your wallet that can move the BTC somewhere else.

If Coinbase controls your wallet (not you) they can move the coins around as they please, I guess.

Oh, that's probably Coinbase internally moving them based on their own internal needs. But Coinbase keeps track of my account totals so I still have the same amount internally with their system. Got it.

I didn't even think about how they'd use the wallets internally like that. Thanks for the reply and making me realize what was happening.

Can anyone tell me what's going on here?
I've received 3 payments from the pool for the past few blocks (I understand they are small because I'm  not yet past the 5Nd), but this morning I see two sent tranasctions from my address for the exact same amounts of the previous 2 payments.

https://www.blocktrail.com/BTC/address/1PxV6HNvqHAydTo8wpyZk1uF2KGSSsMAPA/transactions

I've set Kano to payout to my Coinbase wallet and here's the strange thing, Coinbase still shows the full amount in the wallet and no sent transactions.

Can anyone explain to me what's going on here? I'm confused.

Awesome, welcome to the pool! Fellow 13.5TH S9 miner here (with an S7 as buddy next to it).

I will have an L3+ next to my S9 very shortly. I know a little off topic, but does anyone have a Litecoin Pool to recommend? I was thinking of give-me-coins.com but I haven't really dug too deep yet. If it's a no-no to ask about this here, I apologize and you can remove this post. Thanks!

Just added a 13.5 TH/S S9 to the pool. Not to worry, I totally understand the 5Nd payout system, so no need to link or explain.  Tongue

Now let's break this block drought!!!!!
