I've sold a good amount on ebay, to protect yourself do the following:

  • 1. Make sure the order says it is eligible for seller protection. If it does not, or if it says partial protection, you are taking a risk that if the buyer file a claim, you really have no recourse.
  • 2. Use signature confirmation. It is only ~$2 extra but once it is signed for, it is the responsibility of the buyer and they cannot claim they did not receive the item.
  • 3. Be sure to always provide detailed pictures and an accurate description or you could be subject to an "item not as described" claim. Those generally close in the buyer's favor and you have to pay to get the item back.
  • 4. For computer parts specifically, if you can provide some sort of picture showing a test or something verifying the item works before you send it, the buyer will most likely not be able to claim the item did not work. For your own records, it may be better to take a video showing the to-be sold computer part in the computer, running a test or something, and then showing the results/it working on the monitor all in one clip that is not cut. It would be even better if you say the date and/or show an online calendar or something. This would prove that as of that date (which should be right before you sell it) the item was working so if the buyer claims the item is not working, which I've seen more often than you think, is due to user error or that they are simply lying.

That's basically it, some of this might be overkill but I have never had anyone successfully win a case against me.

Can you give me an example of any business in the world that allows you to only pay them their cost for products? I'll wait...

Maybe while you're at it you should contact your ISP and tell them they're charging you more than what it costs to provide you internet so you deserve a refund, or maybe mcdonalds too, because surely they are also charging you more than what it costs to make the food

You call for him to review his business model? Their current business model is selling product for more than what it costs them. You want them to sell products for what is costs them. That is not a business, welcome to capitalism, read about it

Just wanted to offer a counter point to all the whining. I'm running 6 rigs, 470s, 480s, 570s, 580s, Nvidia 970s (2), Nvidia 1070s (4?). All working great, mostly Z170 MSI boards but the 4 card rigs are on some old ass i7-930 (1366 socket) and i5-2500 (1155 socket) boards, also working great! I set the 1070s/970s to 100W and they are very stable and low power usage but leaving 5-6MH/s on the table without overclocking.

Tytanik! You are the man! Keep up the good work and thanks for offering an easy web interface, no driver installs, problem just reflash the USB! All for $2/month? This is an insane deal!

Can't wait for NVIDIA Overclocking feature. The 6 1070/970 mix are using 640w at the WALL! Im using Claymore 8.1, but 9.4 also works great. 9.5 crashes non stop!

Is there an attachment button where I can attach the screen shot or do I have to host it somewhere and link it in?

PS I also have a MSI 7 slot with 2 M.2s I'm going to try to get 9 GTX 1070s running on soon I will post results! Sorry first time using this particular forum site.

That is great power usage.

I am wondering why we cannot change the power limit in a similar way we do on the nvidia rigs as on the amd rigs? I also am drawing 950-1000 watts for  6 x 570 4gb rigs and would love to bring that power consumption down so I can add more rigs in my basement XD

Hi, thats why i finally decided to make each miner program update version as separate miner, So you can stay on 9.4 or use 9.5.
How claymore miner program works its not up to me.
Personally i am using 8.x Cheesy
Here, see:

I'm having the "0 mh/s then crash" problem with my rigs running RX 470 cards regardless of whether I am running Claymore 9.4 or 9.5. As I noted in a previous thread, I was able to get the issue to subside by reducing memorcy OC settings by 125 mhz. However, prior to a couple days ago, I was able to run the more aggressive memory setting for months without an issue.

If you want me to bump the memory OC setting back up to what it was before so you can observe the issue on your end, just let me know. I would be happy to help.

EDIT: Also, a couple times before the a card dropped to 0 mh/s I noticed its reported hashrate jumped up by as much as 3 mh/s for a brief period of time before crashing. Prior to this new issue with stability, I had never observed any cards on my rigs doing that.

I am having the same problem. Rigs that were stable for a long time are now having issues all of a sudden. Just like you, I've tried claymore 9.4 and 9.5 and have received the same results

Does the SRRv2 come with 10 of the adapters to connect rigs to the telephone cable? Want to make sure I do not have to order cables to get the adapter because I was planning on just making my own custom lengths for my setup

I set my cards to 1150 core but I have many different cards and some revert their core to 1106, 1128, 1168 and 1203. Any ideas why the cards don't listen? All are on powerlevel 6 with only the 1500 straps copied to 2000.

What hashes do you get with them?

Also what is their default memory speed? Do you overclock via smOS ?

I have problem overclocking ram via smOS my settings are not accepted.

Anyone has an advice?

I get normal hash, around 160-170 per rig of six rx 570 cards. All I have done is copied the 1500 straps

How can I withdraw my ETH balance to Bittrex? It doesn't transfer automatically? It says that I have to enter an IP? How to see that IP on your OS?

Hover your mouse over the rig name and the ip is in that box.

Just keep in mind generally if you reduce the payout below 1 eth they (the pool) take a fee

I think your public IP address (NOT your rig IP) is required to do this.

As long as you are in same domain/network where your rig mining..... just launch browser and google "whatsmyip"

oops I forgot about that. citronick is right ^

UPDATE:

Hi Tongue
There is too much payments at once due to my newsletter.
If you have problem paying now, try again later or tomorrow Smiley

I cannot pay because the system is overloaded, but I do not want my rigs to stop running. How much of a grace period is there before they turn off or something?

thx, i can read the cards and memory type

one open question, it is possible to save the bios local and edit it? edit the stripes and copy the 1500 value to the higher one and save it back?

If this is not available to do locally, how do you export the saved bios and then reupload it after you edit it on a remote computer?

ok thanks, so i can use polariseditor installed on windows to edit the under linux saved / exported Bios from the cards?
sorry for the questions, but i will not brick my cards :-)

I'm not sure, I was asking a question

For many of my rigs that I am currently building, the smOS loads fine but then after the miner starts (claymore 9.4) it just sits at:

ETH: 1 pool is specified
Main Ethereum pool is ethermine.org (or whatever the address is)
DCR: 0 pool is specified

It sits there until the computer restarts and then just does it again. Sometimes it will load and start mining though. Any ideas as to why?

Anyone running 6 cards on a TB85? Am having trouble getting 6 to run. 5 run fine if I do not attach a gpu to the x16 slot. As soon as I hook up a card to the x16 slot the others are not seen. Am pretty sure I am missing something in the bios but just can't seem to see it. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Have you enabled 4G Encoding in BIOS? Have you tried replacing, hooking up only 3 gpu at a time to test if the gpu and risers actually work?

Did not see anywhere to enable 4g encoding in the bios. Under what tab is it? Have switched and swapped risers, molex power cables, and gpus to all different positions and same problem with the 16x slot. Thanks for the tip on 4g. Am looking for it.

I do not think there is a 4g setting on the TB85

What file system should my flash drive be?

fat 32, ntfs or exFat?

Doesn't matter. The image burning software will disregard existing partitions and make its own anyway. You don't even need to format it.

Thanks!

I highly recommend SSD over USB though. I have had nothing but problems running off SanDisk sticks. Slow and strange issues.

anywhere you can recommend to buy bulk cheap ssds? I have also been having some strange issues

It will first do stuff like this

Then eventually go to a screen like this and it won't stop just populating with similar messages until I restart. Sometimes when it restarts it would get the the connecting to simple minining part and then it did an update, then after the update code was just spewing on the screen at a very fast pace, almost like a broken record, so I had to restart and then kept getting more things like these pictures
