Re: Have BCH, do I own BHCSV and BCHABC?
by

AFAIK ledger will only support the fork that will dominate and I think that's BCH ABC.

https://support.ledgerwallet.com/hc/en-us/articles/360012036813-Preparing-for-Bitcoin-Cash-hard-fork

But now, wait for their further announcement and follow them on twitter.

Yes but since I have the private keys I could move the coins elsewhere and claim my SV or ABC, right?

Have BCH, do I own BHCSV and BCHABC?
by

Hi everybody,

lets say I have 1 BCH on my Ledger and thus control the private keys.

Does that now mean I own one BCHSV and BCHABC each now?

And what about the original BCH, is it replaced by the forks or does it still exist?

And can somebody tell those miners and whatnot to stop doing confusing shit like that ;-)?

Thanks for your answers.

Was spuckt denn dein Gebührenrechner aus?

Hier gibt es einen Rechner:

http://steuerberater-kosten.info

Claim Bitcoin Gold form old Electrum Seed?
by
Zogrd
on 03/05/2018, 06:30:47 UTC
Hi everybody,

I kept my BTC on Electrum during the BTC Gold fork.

But I forgot to claim them.

Afer the fork I have moved my BTC to my Ledger Nano S. The Ledger BTG Split Tool returns nothing.

Is there any way to still claim my BTG?

P.S.: How do I claim BTC Private (BTCP)?

Re: CoinTracking - Gewinn/Verlust Portfolio und Steuer Reporting für digitale Coins

Hi,

Why is there Stake Weight Statistic in the Wallet under the Statistics Tab?

And why is the Network Stake Weight 0?

Does it make any sense to stake and gather Stake Weight at the moment?

Re: Futures - The big short
by
Zogrd
on 04/12/2017, 09:52:52 UTC
I have the creeping feeling that ahead of the BTC futures a huge short is engineered. Apparently it will be easier for big money to short BTC with the Futures.

Now we have a situation where the BTC price can easily manipulated.

So why not pump BTC now, wait for the Futures market and place big shorts, then crash the BTC market?

One last giant cash out ...

Yes, that can be a possibility. Big investors can manipulate the price of bitcoin by using shorting method on the futures market. However, I don't believe any such thing will happen. Because big player's entry in to bitcoin market is actually a positive thing and we will move one more step closer to become main stream. If the venture of CME group becomes successful, we can expect entry of other big players in the market which will certainly increase the market cap of bitcoin to another few billion dollars. So it is most unlikely that the price will go down.

What I meant is that the same players that control the market now could play both sides and cash out big time.

Re: How to get BCH and BTG to Ledger Nano S
by
Zogrd
on 28/11/2017, 06:47:43 UTC
So, now that I transferred a range of coins to my Ledger there are some coins left:

FTC
ETP
BLOCK
ARDR
FCT
DCR
SHIFt
SC
ANT
XBY
STRAT
INCNT

What would be the safest way to store those?

If I download all the wallets, what happens if my PC gets stolen or my house burns down?

How to get BCH and BTG to Ledger Nano S
by

I kept my BTC pre-fork (both) in an Electrum Wallet.

Now I transferred BTC to Ledger Nano S. Electrum is now empty.

How do I get BCH and BTG to the Nano S?

Buddy, thanks for the answer.

Then I will use MEW I think because this extents the usability because of much more tokens supported.

What if somebody steals my PC with the wallets on it as well as my Ledger? Can I still access my funds?

And what if somebody gets his hands on the recovery phrase?

Best way to use Ledger Nano S
by
Zogrd
on 23/11/2017, 12:36:10 UTC
Hi,

just bought a Ledger Nano S.

I have BTC, LTC, ETH, ARK and various different tokens on various exchanges.

What would be the best way to secure all my coins/tokens?

I do know MEW. What confuses me is that you can access MEW by simply plugging in the Ledger Nano S. Doesn't that mean that anybody who steals my Device could access all tokens in MEW?

Obviously using a hardware wallet is very secure for attacks from the web. But what about physical attacks (burglary)?

Another question: I hold my BTC in Electrum, protected by a strong password. Can I just switch to Ledger Nano with the same wallet or add the Ledger as an additional security?

Re: How do I backup Google Authenticator Codes

if you go into google and enable 2fa there are options to give google backup codes.print them and store in a safe place

Yes but it seems this goes only for Google Services.

I can print backup codes to login at Google.
