Re: Newbies don't buy bitcoin over aggressively.
by
Zoomic
on 05/05/2025, 20:28:25 UTC

Over aggressive buying means buying bitcoin with money that is not your discretionary income. Only invest with the amount of money that you can afford to lose.

What are your thoughts on this
This is not the definition of aggressive buying. Strategy is buying aggressively, but it doesn't mean that they are starving to buy it. Aggressive buying of bitcoin is encouraged for those who can afford it. There are people who has alot of money but they are reluctant to buy bitcoin or they procrastinate when it comes to bitcoin investment. Those guys are not aggressive in buying bitcoin. For someone to buy aggressively, they have money to invest. I advise you to revisit your concept of aggressive buying of bitcoin. You buy aggressively when you envisage that there is greater opportunities ahead.

Re: Petition to remove signature display on Reputation and Scam Acc. CB
by
Zoomic
on 05/05/2025, 20:06:21 UTC

Sounds like a good suggestion, I support it on  Scam Accusations board but there is no need for such restrictions on the reputation board
I do not see the need for it in the Scam Accusation board either, OP didn't provide any valid reason to back up his "suggestion", if you are active in the Scam Accusation board, you'll realize that OP isn't telling the truth. The problem is that many users accuse different platforms without any proof or when they are blatantly wrong, in that case they are butthurt when you tell them were they are getting it wrong, and they accuse you of supporting the platform.
The Op actually gave his reasons, but to me it is not convincing enough.
For instance, I promote Evo.io casino, if there is any scam accusation against Evo casino, and I weigh in with my opinion, OP will see my opinion being influenced because Evo pays me. Where I find a fault in his submission is;
Even if signature is disabled in scam accusation, it didn't eradicate the fact that I still promote Evo, so I can still be biased even when the signature is not showing since I still promote Evo.

His suggestions will only bring backlash. It will make scam and scammers hide, because when you disable signature in those boards, people will rarely visit them. So, so many accusations will go unattended to.

Re: Humans are doomed If they belive in AI it Will destroy us 100%
by

on 05/05/2025, 19:46:34 UTC

Everything is in check, AI will not overpower and ruin the world. There is natural check and balance for every actions and inactions. Take for instance AI generated texts fill the world. Robotic surgeons fill the hospital. This will have to trigger the need for human writing and human doctors. By then human doctors will be in hot demand. Human writings will also be in great demand, so people will start learning to be humans again.

So, humans are not doomed. Humans create AI and if it is killing us, we will kill it. So we have nothing to be afraid of. For now, AI is doing great, it helps me in my daily tasks and I am comfortable using it in an ethical way.

Re: $100k this week?
by
Zoomic
on 04/05/2025, 23:08:24 UTC
⭐ Merited by Donneski (1)

It’s really possible that we could see a price breakthrough this week especially if another big news will hit the market positively. It could even pass through $100k or above, depending on how heavy the impact is. However, we cannot be confident enough though if there would be another price drop first before we will see btc price hitting  $100k knowing bitcoin is highly volatile. So all we have to do is just to wait patiently and prepare whatever it is.
Do not know much about the technical aspect of Bitcoin and how to interpret the charts. But I am a hodler, and I have known some patterns of Bitcoin price movement even without reference to chart or news. The type of movement that bitcoin is making these days doesn't show that it will drop below $90k any soon. The bitcoin price movement is signalling upward trend. I didn't see this from any chart or from experts, but I have this great feelings that we are going towards $100k and above.

Even if you pay attention to fundamental analysis, you will realise that every news in the internet is just too bullish. If it is not individuals buying bitcoin, it is institutions buying or more funds entering ETFs. All these are bullish news and I feel it will continue this way for a long time if no bad news interrupts the progress.

Re: [CHARTS] Monthly Overview Of Forum Wake-Up, Pass-Email Changed Account Activity
by
Zoomic
on 04/05/2025, 22:43:56 UTC

Thanks for the updates, Wonder Work.

Today is yet another day to look out for. There has been a noticeable activity of accounts waking up in short time intervals, both with Ranked and Newbie accounts. I believe someone decided to check out his bots/account farm.

I check and there are about 3,857 accounts (all ranks) that woke up today. That's quite a huge sum!
What! 3,857 accounts woken up? Are you sure the forum is not under attack?
The number of people that comes online is the forum is still less than 200. What do you think the forum will look like if let's say 1000 accounts decide to post altogether (that is minus the banned accounts in the 3,857).
With these type of accounts and malicious behaviour, it is difficult to get real data of the forum. Data such as;
Number of real active accounts
Number of human users (not bot)
Organic traffic the forum generates and more.

Re: Best ANN Threads on Bitcointalk? Looking for Inspiration
by
Zoomic
on 04/05/2025, 20:23:02 UTC

Hey all,

I will be preparing a new ANN thread and want to check out some of the best-designed or most effective ANN threads here for inspiration. Which ANN threads (old or new) really stood out to you? Drop links or names!

Thanks!
It is very good to draw inspiration from existing threads, but if I were you, I will choose to do something different and unique in order to stand out.
Work with some professional designers in the forum or signature campaign managers can help you out. But if you have some unique ideas, AI can make it come to life.

It is also good to pay much attention to delivering your services with honesty and modesty. There's nothing much about designs if not for branding which I know you should have already.

Also, there are so-called “borderline” topics. These are topics that can fit into both sections. In this case I am personally guided by point 23 of the forum rules, i.e. I act at my own discretion.

Good, I take this to be the answer to my question. Both topics appear to be the "borderline" topics. In as much as they fit in the Politics and Society board, they can also fit in the off topic board. Also, if I were to be the mod of PS board and I send such posts to off topic board, I am also not wrong because I used my discretion.

Re: Is betting a scam?
by
Zoomic
on 03/05/2025, 22:36:20 UTC

No, it is not a scam, betting has never been a scam, sometimes the concept of betting can be interpreted through misunderstandings because there are people who have had bad experiences in casinos that turn out to be scams.

Betting is not a scam but should I say it is a kind of entertainment or fun. In scamming, you cannot win, you will always be at the losing side. Unless they will want to make you win small and then collect major from you. From the layman's angle of view, we could say that betting is a scam. Even from the professional view, the house edge gives space for manipulations.

Now tell me: can you call something fraud if you accept to enter knowing how it works?
From this your perception. What if the process or working principle is wrongly explained to you and you ignorantly accept. Scammers make you believe what doesn't work works, what doesn't exist exists, what is done like A is rather done like B, all in an attempt to defraud you. If what doesn't work for everyone is scam, betting should be considered one.

You should’ve just reported the topic to the moderators, they're the ones who decide if it’s off-topic.
The moderators must have seen them and didn't take note of them. Or the moderator might not be sure if they belong to the board or off topic

It might look identical but the two topics are talking about different things. The first one is talking about road accidents caused by sleepiness/drunkeness and the other is talking about laziness, and sleepiness might be caused by some kind of health problems.

If you think both threads are off-topic, you should report them.
I am not so much concerned about the content of the posts. I think they belong to off topic but I am not that certain about it. That is why I brought it here so that on a broader note, someone could tell me the difference between off topic post and these type of PS posts.

Sometimes I find it difficult to differentiate posts that belong to off topic and politics/society.
These two topics seem identical and in my opinion, I think they belong to the off topic board rather than politics and society.
About drunkenness and sleepiness
About laziness and sleepiness
I know there is nothing political about the posts, but I don't know if there is something societal in them.

Re: The sleeping Prince of Saudi Arabia.
by

on 03/05/2025, 21:24:52 UTC

How many of us knows about the story of the Saudi Arabian prince Al-Waleed bin who has been popularly known as the sleeping Prince due to his battling of life in the coma since 2005 as a cause of accident? Today marks his 36 birthday and it really feels so emotional to imagine someone living unconsciously for about 2 decades now without being recovered and not even a sign of improvement.
My sincere sympathy goes to his parents especially the father who could not afford to let go off him. I also wish the prince a divine recovery following the faith of his dad that he'll recover somedays.
https://trembuz.com.ng/saudi-arabias-sleeping-prince-al-waleed-bin-khaled-marks-36th-birthday-after-nearly-two-decades-in-coma/?amp=1
I have known about the story of the sleeping Prince long time ago but I do not know that the prince is still allegedly sleeping. I have many questions about the Prince.
1. Is he still breathing?
2. Is his body still fresh?
3. Does he feed?
Someone sleeping I know doesn't eat, if he is actually sleeping, he shouldn't be eating. If he is not eating, what sustains his body?
2 decades is a long time, who knows if the spirit of the sleeping Prince has reincarnated.

Nah, bro, you should not expect that. Most of the altcoins have already died because of the Bitcoin downtrend movement and because it was moving sideways for a while. The alt season did not started. We are expecting Bitcoin to stable at over 100K so the alts can accumulate a little bit and only then we can expect a alt season. It may take a few months from now on. But if Bitcoin take corrections, then the alts will start bleeding again and we will have to start from the beginning.  Cheesy Cheesy,
I am just thinking, if this your analysis is true, which I know it's true, what then is the hope of having an altcoins season. The way altcoins are dipping against bitcoin is crazy. A little correction of bitcoin, altcoins are already in the pit crying.
Forsyth Jones is talking about opening a 4x long bitcoin trade, it's a good one. I wish I have the guts to trade futures.

If you have the guts to gamble on other games and are able to take responsibility for the consequences, then what's the reason you don't have the guts to trade futures?

I think both are equally risky to lose money, even futures trading tends to be more profitable if you are really able to analyze the market. What you need to consider is the risk and be responsible for all the consequences, so don't be afraid to try even if you have to lose money.
Grin Grin Grin It could be the newbie orientation that was given me to only trade on spot.
In gambling I also do not so much try other games, I am only comfortable or able to do sports betting sometimes. In sports betting, there are so much parameters to be used to make good gambling decisions. Even if similar analysis are available in future trade as technically analysis, I do not know how to use them efficiently.

Re: Telegram tap-to-earn projects
by
Zoomic
on 02/05/2025, 18:36:57 UTC

Telegram tap tap is on a whole different level now,  around January last year when most of us knew about Not coin, there slogan back was "it could be Nothing" or "absolutely Nothing" with this most people overlooked it while others just played with it simply because it was kinda fun to just play a tap tap game on your phone and earn points that could maybe be converted to real money overtime. Some people took it seriously while others said it was a waste of time. Same period came Tap swap and some other few. After Notcoin was launched and people made real money from, that paved a way many people onboard the Telegram app and started taking other projects seriously but more than 95% were pure dust for the ones that listed.
I can say that not upto 5% of those that tapped their phones to earn points, with the hope that it could be converted into money did it as fun. There is nothing fun in being glued to your phone every second and just be tapping on your phone. Those acts were actually manipulative and that was why I didn't participate. I do not like a situation where I will be conditioned to do something with an unreliable promise of good returns.

Although not all the coins did well. I think it was only Notcoin that had good returns and that is the reason that trend gradually died off and I am glad I was not caught up in that circle, just as I refused to be caught up in the of tapping pi coin in 2021.

I need a little excitement.

Re: 📝[Discussion topic] Overview of Bitcointalk Signature-Ad Campaigns📝
by
Zoomic
on 02/05/2025, 18:11:12 UTC

As the quality of forum members' posts keeps improving, advertisers are getting more interested in promoting their brands and feel comfortable upping their budgets. We know that higher payouts attract the best posters, which is why we should value the quality of our posts... I can only speculate that this is the case.

I wouldn't say the reason is what I put it in bold. The quality of some posters might be improving but I don't think that's the main thing. The main thing for me is that we are in a sort of bull market for bitcoin, we have had a dip recently that has started to recover but clearly we are not in a bear market like when the price is down 85% from the ath. And it seems that the best of the year is yet to come, so it makes sense for companies to invest in advertising.
Don Pedro Dinero is more correct about this. I do not think that the quality of the posters in the forum has significantly improved. There might be improvement but not a clear improvement. I have read how the forum has lost some quality posters in the past and I have also seen that the forum hardly gets immediate replacement. The more populus the forum becomes, the more we have shit posters flooding the forum.
So, we should not attribute the influx of new campaigns to quality post of the forum, but to what Don said above, it is because we are in the bull run market.

We should also not forget the individual efforts of the signature campaign managers. Take Little Mouse for instance, how many projects he convinced to promote in the forum.

As someone new to investing, how can I balance regularly putting in a set amount each week with grabbing extra when prices dip to protect my money and grow it smartly over the next few years?
Who are asking how you will DCA. It is simple and you understand the theory. But I am little more concerned that you mentioned weekly and also emphasized that you will buy when prices dip in order to grab extra and protect your money. Dollar Cost Averaging method of investment doesn't work that way. If you are to buy only when there is dip, it means you have to closely monitor the market everytime and you will not be able to automate your investment. This is not how DCA work. In DCA you buy consistently when the price dips, bulls or is consolidating. Consistency is the key to achieving success in DCA.

Also, I will advise that you set an amount you are able to invest weekly. Don't set too high amount that will make you to start skipping weeks. Set a realistic amount based on your income. Thanks.

Welcome to the forum.

Hello to the entire Bitcointalk community,

I work with a company that aims to make Bitcoin mining simpler and more accessible to everyone.
I am curious, in what possible ways does your company make bitcoin mining simpler? Do they share computing power to members of the company or they have a mining pool for members?

I’m excited to be part of this platform. If you’re also involved in mining or crypto investment, I’d be happy to connect and chat!

If you are a bitcoin miner, I don't mean shitcoin farmer, you can join discussion in this board -

Yeah, that's what I think too. It's just that the question of whether you need crypto ASAP made me think of the other possibility but surely it refers to people who don't have the crypto to use in the casino, as Strongkored says. They have an option to get the crypto fast using fiat.
I really liked the fact that BetFury has fiat deposit options, this could be a good thing for new users who either don't have crypto at the moment or are having their first contact with cryptocurrency.
This is a great strategy to attract new users and stay competitive.
We obviously have some fiat casinos while we are largely acquainted with crypto casinos. Even if there is a mixture of both in betfury, we should understand that fiat deposit will actually not be sustainable especially if a gambler will not be able to withdraw fiat.
Are there new users who doesn't actually know about cryptocurrency but are gambling in this space?

Re: EVO.io - Bridging the Gap Between Crypto and Play | Up to 1 BTC FTD BONUS!
by
Zoomic
on 01/05/2025, 22:24:53 UTC

I'm glad to see that someone else has also noticed the problem that so many people no this forum are negligent to. Especially considering my stating of that problem was used as basis to give me a negative feedback on my profile. Thanks for restoring the very very small part of my sanity that the rest of this forum had bought me to question by denying this very valid belief and line of thought, which validates bc.game's obvious selective scamming practices. I've already been writing a new thread and I hope there is some more support this time around.

It's not only me, I guess the majority of the forum members agree with the fact that only a small percentage of users come to the forum and create scam accusations against the casino. It's not only BC game players, but it is about all casino players in general. There are also scam accusations against Stake, and I feel the same. I have criticized the BC game for its terrible support.

But since you created the thread about only the BC game, not in general, you got targeted and negative feedback. I don't know you well, I don't know what you did in the past, but if the tag was just because of that thread, it is not justified.
Whether he created the thread only against BCgame or he involved other casinos, does it really matter? What really matters is to discover the truth behind every post. I have been in this forum for a while and I have my reasons of avoiding some politically motivated threads. There are some kinds of unspoken politics or tactics in the forum. When a project hires majority of the DT members to promote them, they are 50% percent sure that they hired armies that will protect their reputation. I am not saying this because of BC.game, but it is my general understanding of the forum.

This is Evo official thread, may we limit the way we discuss other casinos here?
