Re: What does Bitcoin protects people from ??
by
Zorbak
on 15/08/2018, 17:15:36 UTC
Gold and silver are hedge against inflation/price rise and they protect people's wealth during wars, natural disasters such as Earthquakes, hurricanes, cyclones, economic crisis, 9/11 terrorists attack etc.. so gold and silver are a store of value.

Stock markets are indicators of sales in the economy. When there is sales for the company as per study, they are profits and share price rise. if there is loss, the share price falls.

As a commodity, what does Bitcoin price show or protects people from ??   Grin

Well, about gold it is a hedge against inflation yes but I do not imagine going to buy my daily needs with that or you just need to bring it somehere, what a pain. BTC is just currency but its limited amount makes it deflationary so it makes it a hedge against inflation and easy to use it for your daily use when there will be more adoption.

Re: WHAT HAPPENS WHEN NO ONE SELLS BUT HODL?
by
Zorbak
on 05/08/2018, 18:17:03 UTC
When it will be possible to use it in daily life it will be used as for it was designed, money.

Until that moment arrives people use it just as an investment and hold like a store of value. Some expecting high returns and others as they lost faith in financial system.

Hey guys, I've decided to ask you - what whould you do in this problemmatic situation?

Suppose you have some bitcoins (let's say 22) and you bought them / got them a few years ago very cheap, and now you see it's price and.... what to do?!! Will you take the profit and go away, or sit and hold further? Suppose you're not going to buy more. But when to sell?

It is really up to you... but I would say  on one side f you need money use it that is clear if you do not need it... do you beleive in this project? Then probably you wanna keep it.

You use to believe that BTC would change the world and now you loose faith? Well changing the world as you may already know it is not an easy job... so I really see no reason to loose faith on it.

Re: Who is selling Bitcoin?
by
Zorbak
on 19/11/2017, 12:52:05 UTC
When you buy someone it is selling to you  that is for sure as any market.

In your post you assume that BTC it is a bubble which I really disagree.

Why people sell? Because they want to book profits, that is all, same with people who sell silver when it is in top and buy in the dip again to sell it later again.

It is a community token as store of value, but it offers any other than just a token for store value?

Thank you

He is a big whale and he can manipulate the market but I do not see nothing ilegal in it, this market is not regulated (and I hope it will be always like this) so anyone can do what he want with their money.

Re: Is a fork happening or is Google news messing with me :(
by
Zorbak
on 18/11/2017, 10:45:53 UTC
[...]

Yes.. it is true that the fork has been called off, take a look at these recent news. A small setback for a greater leap, I guess.  ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

It seems like the fork wouldn't have succeeded, even if they had followed through with it:

https://twitter.com/AaronvanW/status/931513254861471749

Apparently there's a bug in BT1's node code that would have prevented the hardfork from being triggered in the first place. This "upgrade" would have basically shut down the Bitcoin network until a patch were to be released and widely deployed.

Thanks for the update, after official cancel S2X was not making sense at all to continue but I guess was gonna happen in a minority chain that would die soon, but if they did not succed that is even better  Grin

I would choose between Trezor or Nano, both has passphrase option too which is not in Keepkey.

I have a little preference for trezor but the advantage of nano is that supports more altcoins. So decision would be if you really want too an altcoin (if its on both or just on nano)

some wallets like electrum allow you to pay extra fees (child pay for parent something like that), you can double spend paying more fees or you can use a push tx

Re: If china got their own coin?
by
Zorbak
on 14/11/2017, 12:09:34 UTC
If China have his coin? They already have his coin like most of countries.

Would they need BTC? It's not China who need, it's people who decided to use since it's better money than fiat. If China creates a cryptocurrency it will not be decentralized since they want to have control on it. So people would still prefer bitcoin.

Re: Bitcoin to Bitcoin Cash?
by

Bitcoin Cash is oficially bitcoin and within a week will have a bigger market cap than Bitcoin Segwit.

Source: https://fork.lol/pow/hashrate

Bitcoin Cash is officialy Bcash

Because you can have a bigger market cap means nothing, a centralized payment system brings nothing new. Any bank/institution can create a centralized coin with bigger market cap

It is very obvious what it is happening. They orchesytayed this mouvement to attack BTC.

We all know that have a decentrzlied system like BTC it is a revolution so those who control actual monetary system will be against, they tried to kill many times with fake propaganda (like drug money, laundery...) all they want it is to have control over it and as they can not and can not destroy they fork it, creating a centralized version of BTC and rename it to BCash.

They created EDA to make it survive, if not would be already dead. When people dump it they bought cheap and they use a lot of money in propaganda claiming to be the real Bitcoin. They have a lot of money and they inject it to grow up in market cap hoping they will overtake BTC and people will switch to Bcash.

All their propaganda it is fake, they just  say all the time they are the real btc and btc have high fees. (If you only care faster tx and low fees you have better altcoins doing this than Bcash).

BTC have high fees? yes sure, they block segwit and they spam with free blocks, they just pretend to make BTC unusable. They create the problem and later they give you the "solution".

And again what is wrong with segwit? They just moved signatures, but still there and it optimise block capacity, so nothing changed from satoshis whitepaper.

Bcash they control all mining power and nodes... they like to talk about satoshis vision, is that satoshis vision a centralized cash p2p?

Re: Bitcoin or Bitcoin Cash - What is the future bitcoin
by
Zorbak
on 11/11/2017, 12:46:36 UTC
Bitcoin cash is not the future and it will not replace Bitcoin. Just think serious, do you really mean that some small rise of bitcoin cash in some specific situation is the sign that it's better than bitcoin. I don't think so, it's not that simple. BCH will never have such support and it could never be so accepted, so don't waist your time and money on it.

I completlety agree with you, what we see right now it is just a pump and it comes from Bithumb a korean exchange, it is just a pump like it was in august at price of 0.24. And I really do not care BTC falls in price, what its happening right now it is just a correction and I would like it hits low to buy more honestl, but never dumps as much as I would like to
