Re: [ANN][Qtum]UTXO based POS Smart Contract Platform | 5000BTC sold in 10 minutes

About 50% of 13,400BTC sold in 50 minutes.

EDIT: it's at about 6750 right now, just shy of an hour in, when you calculate the Ethereum.

Doesn't really say anything. It is well documented that Patrick/Steven bought into Bitbay ICO, got the coins, and got the btc refunded.
Gleb has already shown how these exchanges are all controlled by people that are involved in Qtum, so the same thing is likely to be happening here.

Obviously Patrick Dai is a scammer. But what about the rest of the team? They issued a statement saying the could see nothing wrong in Dai's past. That clearly incriminates them, but is it enough to conclude they are all scammers?

Re: QTUM - calling all S-C-A-M Hunters. Billionaires, whales, chinese exchanges??

Here are a few more red flags

1. It is now 3 days since allogations where made that Patrick Dai is Steven Dai, and still no response from QTUM team
2. Other relevant questions are also not answered in slack or ANN thread
3. It is not possible to find any any trace of the 4000 chinese that alledgedly are going to invest
4. There are 1317 members on their slack, but less activity than most slacks with 100 members that I have seen. Are those members real?
5. The ICO has not been yet. Why then is there a lot of people that blindly defend this project without being invested in it. Are they paid shills? If so, why are they needed?

None of the above is conclusive evidence of anything, but it makes me wonder...

Can someone show evidence that this is a scam project? or this is only accusation without any proofs.
Thanks

Nobody is accusing the project of being a scam!

People are making allegations that Patrick is a known scammer previously operating under a different alias.

It is up to you whether you trust your money to someone with questionable history.

It is besides the point that large companies and other backers have done (albeit weak) due diligence.

Moreover, it is a greater concern if following their due diligence process, they consider it "not a concern" regarding his history, in which case, should further evidence be unveiled that Patrick is indeed guilty, then their association with him would be a major detriment to themselves as well as all parties who may know the truth but choose to side with him for the benefit of themselves.

You are right, no one accuses this project is scam, but accused the co-founder of qtum was a scammer. But I think it won't affect a lot of funding, because people don't only invest him, right?

Where did you learn about Investment? When investing in such an early stage it is the founders abillity to give you roi you gamble on. This is a dealbreaker for QTUM.

Do you not think it is a bit risky to run a fund on Etherum when there are known issues with it?
Are you going to back it up with off chain assets in case of a DAO situation?

I tested the BitBay marketplace this morning. It works.
As I understand it, it is possible for sync to use it. So sync could use it as a safe Exchange. It will be slower than an ordinary Exchange, but 100% safe.
Also, BitBay seems to gain traction, so if the sync community posts contracts for sync, a lot of folks will see it. Maybe it could get some attention.

I heard there is a fawset for BitBay, but I cant find it

You heard right.

It's not on a webpage like most faucets.

It's in the client marketplace.

You can download it from the OP or from our bitbay.market website

The fawset is in the wallet?? How?

With BitBay's client you can pretty much buy or sell anything for anything through smart contracts trustlessly! The faucet is basically a free smart contract in the marketplace.

Download it! Give it a shot! 1000 BitBay's for free!

I will! Thx a lot

How refreshing it is to see most ppl in here give the only honest advice one can give; do your own research.
Read the ANN thread of the coin. All of it! Many coins also have a slack. Join. Also see what they say about the coin in this section or the ANN of competing coins.

Here's a few rules of thumb that can save you a lot of Money.

Never be in a rush to invest. There is plenty of opportunities
Dont go with the hype. By the time it reaches you it's to late to get a good entry if you are new. And often the hype is just that. Hype.
Dont invest in ICO's. You need experience to find the good ones
Stay away from short term trading until you know what you do. You can easily lose 50% of your money in just one day
Stay away from coins with anon dev unless it's an old coin and the dev has a proven track record
Dont bother with coins that are not listed on Poloniex or Bittrex. If they are not listed there then there is mostly a reason for it
Go for coins that have really unique features. Not just minor adjustments to the coin they where cloned from.
Never panic sell unless there are fundamental reasons like dev quiting or other things that seriously damage the project.

You can make a nice profit once in a while by breaking these rules, but you will lose 10x as often until you know what you are doing
