Re: Is Trump Literally Acting Like A Dictator?

You and I are opposite sides of history.

-No I don't agree with putting armed soldiers on civilian streets
-No I don't agree with a military style police force
-No I don't agree with martial law and think it is an outrage to require such a measure in a free democratic society
-No I don't agree with criminalising the homeless
-No I don't agree with spending tax dollars on guns when they could be spent on improving roads, bridges, and things conducive to a better standard of living for all.
-No I don't agree with technocrats building a digital cage around a free society that will infringe upon the freedom, civil liberties and privacy of all both great and small.
-No I don't agree with drones, facial recognition, digital identities, cashless societies, tagged populations etc becoming prevailent under the pretext of security.

I can go on telling you what I don't agree with but you are missing the key point in the fact NO authoritarian leader has ever come to power without the pretext required in the first place and the extreme left side of the political spectrum has set the stage for this by bringing about societal breakdown, disorder and chaos not only in the US but across the globe.

Now when the switch is flipped again after yall are finished moaning about terrible Trumop and maybe even a 3rd term is brought in ........maybe Obama will return and all these laws will be already in place for him so he doesn't look like the bad guy having to enact them as big bad guy Trumop will have seen to this by chance.

You have NO idea what the gameplan is here and you think you are on the right side of history? The devil plays on both sides and he cares about neither as long as he can set  human creatures one side against the other other while he gets the chance to fully dominate and control them and subdue them to his will. Those who will not submit are outcasts and even among the outcasts he can tempt to keep the fire burning through desperation to commit crime etc continuously feeding a system that requires order from disorder.

Sorry but I have been brought up on the books of wisdom and understand geopolitics and theology beyond average folk and still deduce from all this that it is plain as day for even the simplest mind to see what has been going on while people chase after idiotic compartmentalised conspiracy theories that send them off in all directions.

Even if you are a Christian you should be able to look back to the only one documented occassion Jesus of Nazareth used violence and whom he directed it towards. The moneylenders today are also leading the charge to centralise global power into the hand of one person over a world governed by 10 people and whether you believe this or not is irrelevant. The gnomes who launder gold for nazis and allow corporations to do business on both sidesduring wars are very real just like their master.

You have NO idea what is going on or what is being devised by TPTB. War,food shortages, pamndemics will escalate before the "real bad guy" comes with the solutions. If you think Trump is bad you aint't seen nothing because at least the "bad stuff" he does is out in the open for all to see but imagine a global leader that one day comes on the scene and the whole world thinks he is a real great guy but all the while millions of those who do not agree with what he is doing and see what he is really at are persecuted and hunted like animals all hidden from public view of course because the social media will be controlled so well everytime you switch on your phone you will think the sun is shining.

All these systems you see being built up around you and all these new laws and regulations for your "health, safety, security and wellbeing" are being designed for this.

What you are witnessing with politics going on today is merely a pressure release valve for the conservative types or a rest or lull while the same old people continue building what they have been doing long before Trump came about in the background. If you want to blame anyone for the soldiers being on the street then point the finger at the ones who allowed things to get to the state where he had the reason or to the crooks who took advantage of the situation before. Its like tradegy of the commons really. You have a nice thing going for everybody and people leave their doors open and kids play ball on the street and women feel safe enough to walk anywhere until one day a thief starts stealing from the homes who felt safe enough not to lock their doors and a drug infested loon decides to go drag racing on the street the kids were playing ball on and some primate from a country that thinks its okay to take a woman by force decides to go on the prowl for a woman out walking on their own.

Even ceaser would have had no power if he didn't have criminals or an enemy threat to keep the fire raging.

I grew up really rough, barely graduated high school, spent plenty of time in the streets before becoming a tame middle aged lady and enjoy reading books.

No you have missed it. What paves the way for this shit is division, propaganda, manufactured consent, rights given up for "safety" 1 by 1.
I do not think

I have an idea of what's to come (since 2008) and for myself (personally) I am not worried but for this experiment that has been equality and liberty for people... it IS failing.
We are observing just how radical of an idea equality was and the damage done by not living up to the founding principles.
Those will money and power will always be clear where their interests lie ---which is why it shouldn't be in politics... it can't help itself but to want MORE.

I am not sure how long this process will take (months-another couple centuries) but power is always in tension with up people.

That last sentence of yours? Gross. The primate that thinks it's ok to take woman by force is running my country right now which is why I'm not surprised that he also has a mind for war.

Trump= the best thing that's happened to our country in order to expose the rot in our roots. He will get richer and some of y'all will bow and lick the boots on your own neck because you think it's only going to be 'other' people.

Big Daddy Trump gonna fix Chicago soon too. What are you all complaining about?

Did anyone hear about that poor Ukrainian girl that was murdered on the subway recently? If there was a cop there he/she could have smoked the perps ass there and then and saved tax dollars on courts and prison accomodation. It's the zombie apocalypse out there.

The federal government using our military and force to police its citizens. What's not to like ;-)

Ever hear of ruby Ridge?
The police department who bombed the Move House?
Rodney King?
The Bundy standoff?

The Suprem[atist] court just made racial profiling legal again: with masked agents who roam our streets without warrants and....
a brand new budget for ice (larger than most countries defense budgets going into effect in November)

*Oh don't forget the cuts to social programs and criminalization of homeless (all of this with the double speak of "Christian Values")

*Also the fact that it will only be in Democrat states while some of the highest crime rates are in Republican cities and Melissa Hortman (D) and husband was assassinated in Minnesota in June

They care about an immigrant? You believe that bit of propaganda?

Trump didn't send the National Guard in on January 6th then pardoned the insurrectionists where Capitol police were killed and injured.

You and I are opposite sides of history.

Funny thing with conspiracy theorists like Badocker is that when there's proof of actual conspiracy, like missing footage found from the cache, where group of guards appear to be gathered around the cell of Epstein. Then it's all radio silence. Because it's not somehow bat shit crazy conspiracy anymore.

I am quite sure that hardcore maga hats and Trump will claim that this is an AI edit, as they don't have a clue how video forensics work. And this pretty much proves that Pam Bondi is covering up something that happened right before the death of Epstein. Honestly, this is deeply disturbing.

Give them all a beat to digest what many of us have had 9 years to consider.

Isn't a trip that sex trafficking cabal was true and.... that it may not matter which is why us women hardly ever come forward ;-)
It wasn't too far back in history that child brides were a thing. It really seems like the powerful resent having to restrain themselves.
Pam Bondi is corrupt AF

Trump IS dictator. Congress is too mixed up to stop him. If SCOTUS stops him, he simply goes a different way... around them. And he has the military to back him up.

Cool

before he came to power during the campaign season a lot of critics and historians have been warning people openly that Trump’s language and attempts to consolidate authority resemble authoritarian patterns. but as usual his core supporters didn’t seem alarmed by the constant warnings by people with more experience in politics if anything, they view his aggressive moves and campaign tactics as strength. So it really depends on perspective at this point in his administration because scholars and very knowledgeable politicians see warning signs, but MAGA circles don’t see a problem yet….

I think that too many Americans are tired of the burden of liberty.

What a time to be alive in 'merica :-) When you have a god tier troll declaring war on his people through his own truth social network.

Rich people always rule the world, get subsidies & don’t pay the taxes they really should. There’s nothing we can do about it so my advice is to just ignore it & get on with your life. There’s no point getting irritated or emptional about things that are totally out of our control.
This is the sad reality about the world we live in.  The rich will always protect the interests of their folks, which is why policies are made to benefit the rich. Data centres are consuming more electricity, and there have been no major protests against these big tech companies. Where are the acclaimed protectors of the environment?  This news would have been in almost all the media platforms if it were Bitcoin mining.  These environmentalists and social crusaders would have launched several attacks.

You are on a bitcoin forum.
I hope everyone stays irritated and learns to take control.

Plenty of protests going on all around the world, they (the 1%) own the media. You will only see the protests when something negative happens.

The American (and the British ) middle classes have no future whilst they are still under the yoke of the Eton/Oxford elite. Donald Trump realises this, but they are so deeply entrenched that he is having serious problems in achieving American independence. It's even worse for us in the UK, and they have destroyed Europe.

Donald Trump is the personification of the corruption in government by the elite. He profits off of our losses and maga still cheers?

There are more than enough resources in this world for that to happen, we just need to find the will to make it happen.

Working homeless in America is a fault of the system not the people ---other than we have allowed it to happen.

all i see above is just social media plays. talking about live streaming and giving online guides of how to hide from government and living off grid..

yet those are actually the games governments love. because if people are distracted by doing social media crap. they are not being directed to actually petition their government.
if they live off grid and refuse to vote, even better for a tyrannical government.. less opposition at the polls

if people are wasting more time and money wearing merch and marching down streets of a town, they are not spending time/money to remove bad government representatives legally

governments that dont want change love playing games like making people fear having their names registered on any opposition list/petition. because if people dont come forward to legally show they want change, then the government cant see that there is a big list of people wanting change.
the whole off grid, anonymous, refuse to vote games are the tricks of government to remain as they are.
the games of letting people glue hands to asphalt and incite riots. are games to get people to have criminal records and be dismissed as loony's

..
when you learn how history actually changed a government. and compare it to all the distractions of today, pretending they are creating a "revolution" you soon learn these social media driven revolutions are just pay days for businesses milking people.. and not actually getting government change to even be discussed in government halls

like i said. if you see a local/national 'protest' campaign advertised.. first look deeper. do the articles describing how to get involved sound like petitioning your government for change.. or do they sound like a link to a merch store+ a invitation to riot and get a criminal record
..choose your advocates, influencers, representatives, leaders and mentors wisely

things like:
sitting in the middle of a road with your hand glued to the asphalt is not going to change a government. all you will get is skin injuries and a criminal record
buying banners, placards and t-shirts with slogans, is not going to change a government, all you will get is a lower bank balance and give profit to businesses
those that do intentional fasting/refusing to eat, dont themselves cause change, they just end up starving, or being treated medically with anorexia diagnosis

nelson mandella himself was not the sole, direct cause for change. it was all the world seeing his plight and then they petitioned the government, if the world didnt know or see mandella, he would just be another prisoner. yet the worlds involvement and their petition was the clincher for change
the act of being a political prisoner is not the reason for change. there are many political prisoners in prison even today, but nothing happens.. its the act of people outside of prison getting together to petition the government that causes the change

its fine to protest, but atleast get all the attendees to sign a petition to actually legitimately display how many people want change, which is recognised by governments via the legal method of producing change

learn how governments actually recognise oppositions to laws. learn how to actually create that recognition for wanting change

1. Who says being off grid takes you out of the political game?
2. You made the point.

If  --->"A riot is the language of the unheard." peaceful protests are the warning that "we the people do not consent" to the choices our governments are making.

no where in time has a government actually, realistically, significantly listened to peaceful protestors.

if you go back in time and look at the big stuff
boston tea dunking
suffragettes
anti-war
LGBT pride

governments didnt change their stance due to seeing people waving flags or doing parades on the streets. what you actually find is things started moving when people organised petitions to get the conversation moving within the head of governments chambers

i know "indivisible" is a business, selling merch. taking donations. but if they actually cared about a certain cause, their energy would be utilised better getting petitions wrote to force government representatives to start talking about certain causes in parliaments, senate, congress halls

so next time you see a social media advert of "indivisible" trying to recruit protesters to certain events, just have a little check to see if they are also asking all attendees pledging to come to also sign a petition, OR be directed to their merch store to buy some flags, banners, placards, t-shirts and other protest material

You don't know enough history to speak on that.
And you're only pulling on 1 scrawny little thread there.

There are many different organizations coming together right now, finally getting a glimpse of understanding intersectionality.
Not all of the current events look or feel the same but you will find the petitioners and antifascists - young kids and people who need help walking. Politicians and homeless.
There are many things going on at the same time right now that will affect how the future looks: protest is one, rolling and full economic blackouts, political change because there is no going back to the way it used to be: as it should be.
"The revolution will not be televised" but it may end up as a live stream.
You mistake protest for 1 thing when it is actually too many things to list and it can always evolve in the moment.

Non-Violent resistance takes many different forms:
Crypto and decentralized networks. Off grid living. Mutual Aid networks. Art. Music. Poetry. Comedians. How you dress. Nelson Mandela in a cell. Mother Teresa's vow of service. Street Art. A man on the mountain. A man walking town to town with 12 disciples. Quiet women. Millions of people no one will ever hear of.

Maybe one person thinks sabotage is spreading misinformation or blowing something up and, another thinks that being stupid and functionally distracting is their strength.

Who knows? Maybe the monks who meditate on peace and loving kindness are holding back war and hate.

MLK's focus was on nonviolent action but there can be no discounting the effect it had on everyday people when it was met with violence. There were also entire coalitions that were armed and willing to defend themselves.

Trump has exposed the system for what it has always strained to be but the main point for him was that he wasn't getting enough of his entitlement.

“One of the saddest lessons of history is this: If we’ve been bamboozled long enough, we tend to reject any evidence of the bamboozle. We’re no longer interested in finding out the truth. The bamboozle has captured us. It’s simply too painful to acknowledge, even to ourselves, that we’ve been taken. Once you give a charlatan power over you, you almost never get it back.”  --- Carl Sagan The Demon Haunted World

Re: This is what ICE agents look like in America
by
_Miracle
on 29/08/2025, 20:25:41 UTC
They look like exactly how I imagined, funnily enough.
It catches my attention they cover their faces, that is something which I would have expected only from law enforcing agents who deal with cartels and crime organizations, which have the power the hit back specific agents and their families (had they identities revealed during their shifts, as anyone could take a picture of them).
Here in my country, according to law, no law enforcement agent is allowed to cover their faces, because it is perceived to encourage mismanaging of situations by agents and even mistreat suspects and go away with it, unpunished.

I wonder whether this is something new or this was implemented by Trump, so ICE agents can work more efficiently.

Liberals in North America are pretty despicable people. They use doxxing as a form of warfare. These agents are forced to try and hide their identity as a result in order to do their jobs and provide for their families. The internet has some downsides I guess but I think practices like doxxing will be more frowned upon by society in the future, not less.

So? It does not really matter whether something is "frown upon" or not, people will continue to do it, as long as they can get away with it. Don't you think swatting is already frown upon and a crime which can have serious consequences? It is, and guess what: there is still people willing to send cops and swats units to your home as a kind of "prank".
Also, doxxing people on the internet is not something which is exclusively being carry out by the left wing of the United States, it is also done by the alternative right. I have seen it myself.
So really, swatting is not something which can be tagged as a political and social weapong being wield by the left, pretty much anyone into extreme politics can make use of it.

Also it really wasn't part of the conversation other than more villainizing of the 'others' as if only liberals dox and as if disappearing people off the street should be legitimized.

This is ugly and a repetition of history.

Trump shouldn’t have backed Ukraine. Ukraine was never going to win that war. Biden himself said that before starting it.

Respectfully, Gavin Newsom has no chance of being the next US President. It’s highly unlikely he’s even put forward as a candidate to run. He’s too opinionated & far left to be considered. I think the Democrats will put forward somebody like Michelle Obama even though she says she will not run.

Could be, but Michelle is not exactly that moderate and may decide not to run, because how the last campaign has resulted in a massive display of name calling and political indecency.

Re Gavin, well, the opinions can be tamed and there is plenty of time, but anyway, I am just saying it could be a good option. People will probably get tired of Trump soon by paying tomatoes at 3$.

What do people consider to be "far left"?
This administration is so far right that there is no room for the middle.
Trump and his Quislings have set "the system" free.
The influence that money has over our government is on full display, this includes most of them.

Newsome is establishment ---all the way----->  until he grew a pair when Trump sent troops into our state.
Michelle Obama supported Barak as his wife but did not care for being in the political spere (per her memoir and now podcast)

Newsom can't run for governor again; under current rules, but hey our government is breaking laws against people on our soil daily.

I really wish that gerrymandering wasn't on the table but since Texas is trying to redistrict aaaand threating to put out warrants for the democrats who are breaking quorum by leaving the state: redistricting may be on California's November's ballot

Before 2008 I was center right leaning fiscally: left leaning on civil liberties. I've been registered as Independent (No party affiliation) since 2008.

If Trumplian policies and project 2025 are considered center? Then I'm left of left.

The maga (make America great again) movement was a dog whistle when Regan used it and anyone wearing a red maga hat (8-5-25-->) looks like a kkk fool to me.

When 'was' America great?
America has always been a great country but it has never reconciled its past.

We are in a moment in history that the future will judge harshly; the difference is that the last 30 years have produced raw data and information that will not be rewritten easily.

That is one of Turmps victories. Switching the spectrum so far to authoritarian (near fascist) right, demolishing all the checks and balances (in cahoots to the band of bastards in the SCOTUS),...

Now anything that is not about shooting immigrants on-sight seems communism.

It is difficult to  think that Trump was even allowed to run after January 6th + his convictions with 77 million people voting for him.
He speaks worse about his political opponents in our own country than dictators in other countries.

People cheering while we lose basic rights, people who don't know their rights and the value of protecting them.
I don't think anyone has to read history to see what is happening but I wish they would.

I do wonder what the rest of the world sees our news is practically pointless.

To me it looks like the "power of mere power". You can have moral force, the force of reason, the force of the law or... you can ignore all of that an simply base you doings on the fact that people vote for you.

And may still think that it is perfect because that is democracy, but democracy cannot existing without indivual rights and obligations. e.g. you should not be able to vote to kill someone or deprive others from their legit posessions... that is not democracy.

"Show of force" is a good way to put it and many in my country seem willing to subjugate 'others'.
This bullshit about law and order has always been about distracting people from the wall street type of criminal  and the re-writing of history has always been to hide that. The biggest criminal in DC is in the president and too many in my country are grotesquely happy about that.

Whoever has Newsome's socials right now is lulz and beyond. The trolling is top level ;-)
