Here's a piece of news that kinda is about Feathercoin and kinda is about its cousin Litecoin: the Feathercoin Development Foundation has helped to implement Litecoin in libbitcoin.

Featherlight Payments is a lot more than a catchy slogan: as of today, you can use Feathercoin to send money to your friends on Telegram, Slack or Discord. Here is the announcement:

Wie kann ein Schweizer Unternehmen von den Start-ups des Crypto Valley profitieren?

Wir werden mit Sicherheit zwei Sachen sehen. Erstens einen zusätzlichen Payment-Kanal mit Kryptowährungen. Das ist nichts Aussergewöhnliches mehr. Verschiedene lokale Geschäfte und Onlineshops akzeptieren schon Bitcoin als Zahlungsmittel. Bei Bitcoin gibt es natürlich die Herausforderung der Transaktionskosten. Darum werden weitere, besser geeignete Coins als Zahlungsmittel folgen. Zum Beispiel das Projekt "Feathercoin", das durch ein Schweizer Team vorangetrieben wird. Zweitens werden wir den Austausch von Daten auf die Blockchain bringen. Es wird neue Schnittstellen zwischen Kernsystemen von Grossunternehmen geben, mit denen wir Daten anders austauschen als bisher. Ganz früher funktionierte das mit Papier, dann kam XML und im nächsten Schritt werden es auf Blockchain basierende Schnittstellen sein.

I'm not suggesting that accumulated miner holdings are being sold, my curiosity is whether they are sold as they are mined. This would be about 10-20% of the daily trading volume (which is currently very low) and be enough to cause a severe imbalance (downward pressure) in an otherwise balanced market.

Of course, it could be a whale who keeps selling...perhaps worth looking at the rich list earlier this year and check out what happened to those holdings?
