It can take some time for your network weight to build up.  Being relatively new myself, best tip I received was to ensure you use the coin control feature to break your 10K coins into 10 blocks of 1000 coins. These blocks will build up weight quickly, but also give you more "chances" to stake. I watched a couple you tube videos that showed me how to do this. The developers also will send small airdrops out as well to add to balance along the way 

This is a really exciting coin with great potential, a solid dev team and a good message. By far the most "fun" of any coin I am holding!
