Not at all I think. Because there's a lot of coins that still exist in this forum that are true and legit coins. Maybe you are just unlucky for knowing that coins that are new nowadays are scams.

The main reason why they created the fork is because of greed. It is a win win situation for them because they created money out of a thin air and they can still keep their Bitcoin  on their possession. They think they can fool the people and just bought their shitcoin to get more money.

Altcoin in the first place suppose to be everything that  bitcoin is not!  Altcoin should be  suitable for all sort of product and service while Bitcoin remain the most reliable payment system in the world.

Yes difinitely yes. Why? Because the people joining now in this year 2018 mostly are a new investors or traders they are looking and interesting to altcoin that is why we notice and we expect that many alcoin ICO's launches now and may be I think it will be double this year than last year.

Some of the master node settings need massive amounts of coins but like any investment you get rewarded for it. If I had enough of some of these I would invest in them better doing that then just holding in wallets.

I'd stay away from it. I personally prefer Monero and Bitcoin. I don't have much to say about Monero but Bitcoin will be the one I'll trust forever. Don't trust any other alts, you never know when you can get scammed. Just saying.

As for your question, I would turn half of the money into Fiat and hold the other half in Bitcoin. Now seems to be the (so far) best time to turn some money into fiat.

As for me it is quite hard to say for sure because they are both strongly damaged after big dump in the firth quarter of 2018. But now Ethereum seems to be more perspective. Somebody even wait for ETH to be miner 1 the next year.

The market of cryptocurrency is quite stable and there are a lot of very experienced traders, I can't imagine what could happen so that the BTC price would fall less than $3000. So it's unlikely to see panic sell.

It's depend on their team and their target. If their team is good and have transparan with that, and their target is absolute and make solution for new coin, my be I will trust it. But if their work is not good enought, I will see for other coin and choice for not investing.
