Re: Is it Game Over for Bitcoin?

Nobody could predict the future, but do not forget where bitcoin came from in the first place.

We are near the precipice of the longest bull market since world war 2 and the derivative instruments are more coupled than ever along with the rise of machines gaining dominance in the market.
When the chain of reactions happen, and they will be swift, govts won't have much ammos left this time. What are they going to do? Negative interest rate? Haircut on pension funds? Print mo' fiats?

Hi,
Did you figure it out? Was it a bad board? I don't have the miner with me so I can't do much hardware inspection. Which firmware version do you run?

Thanks

I'm interested, but could you share more about kpm a bit? Maybe more pictures and who's behind it and maybe business licenses etc?

After way too many bad experience to count, as a miner in general I've become more distrustful with new players unless there's pretty solid evidence they're good (and will stay good).

Avoid like the plague. Nothing but horrible experience. Equipment never got setup after 4+ months (and counting...).
Also see this thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2214288.0 and you'll come to understand what Bitmain was feeling.

FYI - If you choose to send your miners to other countries, be prepared to deal with customs mess. I chose Canada and my miners were stuck at customs and had to pay exorbitant custom fees. Lessons learned.

I thought customs fees were only 5% ?

How long are your miners stuck in customs for?

My miners went through the customs quickly but I ended up paying 15% tax. I've asked the datacenter ahead of time and they'd told me that's to be 5%.

good to know, actually I was also looking at hosting in Canada and hosting company told me 5% as well.

I've already paid local tax at 10%, to relocate them and slap another 15% is not really viable lol. 5% prehaps.

-What is the name of the data center that you sent your miners to Canada?

GND - so far 0 machines setup.  Not happy.

Seeing the sad state of the mining hosting biz I could only vouch for Hashplex. Those guys were not perfect but they're quite solid and leaps and bounds better than the rest. They're like the Amazon of ecommerce. But I guess they're no longer hosting.

13% plus some brokerage fee that I was never informed before. UPS or the hosting company just slap the fee and keep sending me invoices like pay or else.
They were withheld close to 1 month. To add insult to injury they were delivered but not setup yet. With the current difficulty don't think those miners make more than few bucks per day. If I could do a do over I'd have stayed within US.

Same boat here. I think he's overwhelmed with all the volume given the rise of cryptos lately. My support ticket never got answered since last month and I'm a bit worried now as I have a batch coming.
