It’s only been 24 hours or so since Binance launched their new crypto to fiat trading platform in Jersey. However, there have already been reports of massive uptake, and the price of Binance coin has performed strongly as a result.

It hasn’t even been a day since the launch, which was announced on the Binance site with the following message:

“Binance is excited to announce that Binance’s EUR / GBP Fiat Exchange, Binance.je, is now online, with trading in BTC / GBP, ETH / GBP, BTC / EUR and ETH / EUR trading pairs now open. Registrations, deposits and withdrawals are now also available.

The first 5,000 users to register and complete Account Verification (KYC) on binance.je will be rewarded with 20 EUR. Further details on this promotion can be found here.”

Hello,

I have just published my idea and analysis on Bitcoin and what's ahead of us in 2019. I mostly cover market cycles and what reversal signs we should be looking for.

I enjoyed that:

Please do not get dragged with technical analysts who will give you a specific date on bitcoin reversal, because no one can predict that.

best thing we can do at the moment is buy and hold for the next few years or use bitcoin as a means of payment, waiting for the price to increase to $ 20,000 fast is something that make people paranoid and panic every time the price drops a lot.

Glad to hear that, thank you!

It's unwise to start having a negative mindset about the price of cryptocurrency especially bitcoin this new year. You shouldn't judge with what events we had on year 2018 because that year was specifically met for correction. So this year,  look on the brighter side.

First of all - congrats on Bitcoin current jump Smiley
This is nothing to do with the mindset - I read charts, and this is what the chart is currently telling me. Also, I'm always a big fan of negative news, especially when you get a lot of them after a strong correction, because this gives me an indication that we are near a bottom.

Good luck and happy new year!

How stupid that speculating another fall from price of bitcoin before another year started, dont you have enough negativity from the past year that even when the 2019 not even started you hve a negative question?common guys stop fooling around lets start positive topics to help the market grows

See, this is not called being stupid; this is called being realistic. If you the most significant driver to a bull rally is positive energy, then maybe you should start having some yoga classes and not trading the markets.

Dear, wake up Smiley

All predictions are coming to the same conclusion: maybe it will or maybe it will not. Nobody knows as I see, but everybody hope for better result  Cheesy

Exactly, sometimes even the expects went wrong and we had that experience last year. crypto has no guarantee anything can happen over a night we need to wait patiently and need to be very cautious while buying and selling, Let's hope for a good result.

In this business, you can never be 100% right.
Actually, you don't need to be always right to become a profitable trader.
I've probably traded every market, this includes stocks, forex crypto etc. while being only 60-70% correct and managed to be profitable.

Patient is key...Good luck

[2018-12-31] Bitcoin Halving in 2020: 3 Things you need to know
by
aalfadhala
on 31/12/2018, 18:19:17 UTC
When Satoshi Nakamoto – whoever he or she is – set up bitcoin in 2009, he did so with the aim that the digital currency would be better in practically every way than the fiat currencies that came before it. Not only would the currency protect holders against theft by private citizens, but it was also hoped that it would eliminate the current monetary policy that slowly inflates the government money, decreasing its value in real terms.

The way Nakamoto envisioned doing this was simple: over time the difficulty of mining new coins would go up, slowly converging on a level so high that no further coins could be minted. Nakamoto hard-coded the bitcoin system to limit the total number of bitcoin that could exist through a series of halving events, with the two most recent in 2012 and 2016. These halving events reduced block rewards every time a miner added a block to the bitcoin blockchain.

It depends.

If it breaks the $3000 support and keeps heading lower then it might create more panic and cause another bearish year.

However I am thinking we will trade sideways for a bit and maybe slowly start ascending back up. However the $5800-$6000 is going to be major resistance to break-thru.

I totally agree with you - $5800-6000 will be a rough area to break out from.
This resistance (which was once a strong support zone) was used to distribute so many of the whale's bitcoin bag.

Lol thanks for your reply - but this was never my conclusion, or at least the conclusion I wanted to deliver to readers. What I was trying to say is that the market will not recover until we see an accumulation phase. A phase that should take at least 3 months to develop

[2018-12-27] Mt. Gox CEO Pleads Innocence as Trial Over Collapsed Exchange Nears
by
aalfadhala
on 27/12/2018, 15:20:23 UTC
Mark Karpeles, the CEO of failed Bitcoin exchange Mt. Gox, has delivered his final comments at his trial for embezzlement and fraud. The trial, which has been taking place in Tokyo, has been running for over 6 months.

Karpeles, who denies the charges, has been on bail since 2017 and unable to leave Japan pending the result of this trial; he denies embezzlement. However, prosecutors are demanding a 10-year jail sentence for his oversight of the collapse of Mt. Gox. According to Japan Times earlier this month, Prosecutors told the Tokyo District Court that Mark Karpeles, 33, “diverted company funds for such uses as investing in a software development business for personal interest” and “played a great role in totally destroying the confidence of bitcoin users.”

Re: Are you making money in this bear market?
by

on 23/11/2018, 07:20:25 UTC
You are only making money if you have shorted Bitcoin. If you're an intraday trader, you can still long the market and close trades within a few days - but this is very risky for people who don't have experience with trading. So the answer is yes, only if you have shorted the markets.

The article examines some factors that have lead to the previous rally and see if we can compare and look for similar signs to help us identify the next jump.
