The power of the media is simply amazing. If you have a good story to tell as in the case of AsiaCoin, you can use it to you advantage, if you know how. It can also destroy you if you don’t. I hope that at least a few of you are taking the time to learn a little about my background. If you have a team interested to exploit the PR angle I will be delighted to work with you. Dauphin Technology was indeed a media sensation with multiple news stories on a weekly basis for a number of years. Since the release of the DNotes article my name is now linked to a number of them.  The one below is of some significance since it verifies a number of my involvements:

Lombard-based Dauphin Technology Inc. has signed a $150 million deal for International Business Machines Corp. to manufacture a pen-based miniature computer that will run Microsoft Windows programs on an Intel 486 chip. The companies emphasized Wednesday that the new machine, called DTR-1 and about the size of a book, is "first of its kind to hit the market"-the smallest computer yet to offer full-blown 486 microprocessor performance.
  
Dauphin and IBM executives said Wednesday that they will start shipping the machines to customers Sunday.
Dauphin, which has recorded flat earnings recently, came into prominence in 1991 by winning a $400 million contract to supply laptop computers to the Pentagon.

Company President Alan Yong said he will introduce the new machine Monday at the COMDEX computer show in Atlanta, where 75,000 participants will gather next week. Yong believes that being the first to market a subnotebook pen-based device will result in a dramatic improvement in his company's earnings picture.

While industry analysts emphasize that it remains to be seen whether pen-based computers will become as popular as Yong hopes, the IBM deal puts Dauphin ahead of such industry giants as Tandy Corp., Apple Computer Inc. and Motorola Inc., all of which have announced plans for pen-based computers.

Dauphin had sales of $24 million in 1992, almost all of them from its Pentagon contract. But earnings for the last quarter were just $111,739, making the success of the DTR-1 project crucial to the company's future. The IBM/Dauphin contract, signed Feb. 22, also is important to IBM, according to executives there. The deal, they said, marks a major move by the world's biggest computer company to improve its fortunes by using underutilized factories to make hardware for other computer companies.

Lynn Denton, an IBM spokesman involved with the Dauphin project at IBM's Austin Industrial Business Center in Texas, said the deal marks the largest agreement to manufacture computers for a competitor at the Austin factory, which employs 3,500 people and makes IBM's PS/1, PS/2 and RISC System lines.

We fixed the coin precisely to give people the choice.. instead of having the choice made for them by a scammer..

However making the right choice is non trivial.. especially in this crazy alt coin market.  I cannot recommend you to buy or sell this coin, I don't know..

All we can do is be transparent as possible right now.. I'm still working on the code to improve the base coin code.  (check my progress here: https://github.com/micryon/asiacoin-bc).  It is a bit of hobby for me.  Look at checkin history for other coins on github.. (very little after launch).. lot of promises.. but few checkins.

The rest of the team I feel: are pros in their respective areas.  Especially compared to many of the other teams out there.. Especially props to Maestro, he's one of the most professional minded folks in this ecosystem.  We're really lucky to have him leading the charge on AC.  (Seriously lot of clowns out there running coins, foundations, and generally doing P&D and moving onto the next coin in a week.)

However, we are starting in a difficult position (c'mon guys we basically dug this thing out of the abyss!! )...

Interesting.  Let me share this with you on what I have learned from others about investing. The inherent human greed and fear (panic) will always be the biggest challenges of successful investing. Some call it the “herd mentality.”  It reminds me of the “mindless Zombies.”

It is troubling to me to see so many investors loosing the little they have to begin with. That is the prevailing reason why I decided to cross the line and do what little I can to help save AsiaCoin. You all have done the most amazing job in any turnaround situation I have seen. I am pretty certain that you have the best team in the altcoin world in terms of across the board talents and skill sets, coupled with great attitude, selflessness, dedications and much more. Frankly, as an industry competitor, I am jealous. But I trust that the success of AsiaCoin will be of mutual benefits to our industry and I hope you all will join hand with us to assist and encourage more women to participate in our industry currently overwhelming dominated by men by a ratio of 19:1, or 95% (male) to 5% (female). With women controlling more the 50% of the consumer purchasing power worldwide, this niche should be taken very seriously.

The most successful investors seldom fall into the trap of “herd mentality”. One legendary investor said it best, “I fear when everyone else gets very greedy but I get very greed when everyone else gets very fearful.” I have very high hopes for AsiaCoin but that is just my personal opinion.

Darkcoin has one of the better distribution out there, and everyone knows it.

If what you're saying was even remotely true, those "mysterious holders with 10%" would have sold months ago and run away with millions, such as you got played on Asiacoin, and many people on hundred others.

This is one of the very few coins worth a look right now, and you're not fooling anyone.

The only thing why you should sell now is to buy it back cheaper later - i don´t see any other reason why to sell.

It´s like playing lottery. Sell now and you maybe sit on your BTC because you are not able to buy back cheaper.
If you win you can own more DRK, if you lose you sit on your BTC.
