Re: [WTS] 100+ posts and 100+ comments 4 yr old Reddit account
by

on 26/10/2018, 22:04:45 UTC
This is a clean, self-made account nurtured over the years; and not any hacked account.

The email is verified, and is usable.

I'm selling because my other Reddit accounts have grown, making this particular one redundant; and I need to make some online payments in Bitcoin.

Also, yes, this is a one-off sale.  I'm not an expert in this task of selling accounts, and this is my first and only Reddit account sale.

I will need payment in BTC; starting price is 0.025 Bitcoin.  We will need to go through escrow.  Escrow costs additional to this base price.

Re: New type of scammers in telegram! Keep your bitcoins safe! Watch out!
by
actueal
on 11/10/2018, 10:09:10 UTC
Be very careful of this new type of scammers in Telegram. They use the names and pictures of beautiful girls.

Unfortunately, this is human nature.  Even before our conscious mind can make a measured, calculated response; the unconscious has already picked up the [sexy] cue, and released a torrent of hormones.

The trick is to think of every beautiful girl profile as a wily scammer.  But, this is easier said than done.

I have a 'beautiful, sexy girl' profile on Facebook [that I don't use to scam people!] and my cousin knows it's me; yet, every now and then, he wants to chat, just to get that hormone surge from chatting with a beautiful girl, even if it's on a profile!

Re: India to make possession of "unapproved" Cryptocurrency a punishable offence
by

on 11/10/2018, 10:04:57 UTC

The particularly relevant part runs as follows:

“The panel is also discussing amendment of the Currency Act to make possession of any cryptocurrency, not approved by the government, a punishable offence,” said the government official.

So, it is early days yet, there is actually no such law existing as of now.  They are merely thinking of introducing these clauses.  A lot can happen between now and the actual promulgation of the law.

Re: What is your plan for the next world wide recession. Are you planning on such?
by
actueal
on 19/09/2018, 22:00:34 UTC
The others have given technical details; so I'll just provide some basic logic that unfortunately doesn't get to a lot many folk.

[1] Live within your means.  Whether your income, or even if it's a lump-sum amount of money, start imposing austerity guidelines in your life.  Weed out the luxuries and the non-essential spends.

[2] Try to develop some skill that will be useful even in a jobs-squelching recession.

[3]  Most important, stay healthy.  Build up your health, because even more important during a recession: health is wealth.

[4] Build up your buffers of resilience through reading good books, literary stuff, and indulging in art and entertainment that is freely available.

Last, but not the least, when, God forbid, the recession does hit, remember:  THIS TOO SHALL PASS!

STAY OPTIMISTIC Y'ALL, EVEN WHEN THE GOING GET'S DARK.

AND REMEMBER, IT'S DARKEST BEFORE DAWN!

Re: Doing a job you like is important than money earned.
by

I read it somewhere and they wrote "doing a great job that you like is more important than the money earned". I think this is not so true. why do the job in the first place if you don't want to earn

Earnings are not always in monetary terms.  Some earnings are intangible ones.  Consider altruistic acts.  They not only don't earn money, they could actually lead to loss of money.  Yet, they are beneficial to the recipient and to the provider.

How is the altruistic act beneficial to the provider?  True, the provider suffers monetary loss, but gains internal opiates from performing the act of altruism.  It's just another way of paying for a narcotic rush; only this is natural (organic!) and healthy and anti-ageing.

Lose that "money is everything" mentality.  True, money is essential for a baseline income, but after that, there are several other factors that are important, perhaps more important, than money alone.

Re: Thinking of Starting A Review Site
by

on 06/08/2018, 18:50:27 UTC
Any ideas how profitable a review site can be?

I am sorry to point out that you have failed in the very first step you have taken.  The purpose of an ICO review site ought to be honest presentation of facts; which is undermined by the pursuit of profitability.  Several ICO review sites that started well degenerated into paid shills all because of their worship at the altar of profitability.

Forget about profits; just try to keep a clean slate.  Eventually, You will be well rewarded for your honest endeavours.

Hope this chord has struck home.  We need honest players in Cryptocurrency.

Big players unloading their stash of coins will always crash the market.  Combine that with the FUD generated by all the negativity; and the whipped up anti-Bitcoin sentiment, all of it serves to unnerve the small player.  When the masses unload, the canny big players who had missed out on the earlier upturn eagerly grab the spoils, and reap the harvest when the next inevitable upturn occurs.

What stops governments from using the Bitcoin/ Ethereum open source code?
by
actueal
on 24/06/2018, 17:19:20 UTC
The thought came to my mind, when everything about Bitcoin and Ethereum is legit open-source, and posted on GitHub; there's every line of code available in the open for any government to make a Bitcoin/ Ethereum clone of their own.  So, whey aren't they doing that, if not seriously, then at least proof-of-concept?

Even if blockchains come with patents, there's the phrase called 'compulsory licensing' that has long been used by third world countries to manufacture patented drugs at dirt-cheap prices.  Likewise, blockchains too could be 'compulsorily licensed' even if patented.

Whey then doesn't any country, say China or India, declare such a blockchain to be an essential 'public good' and clone Bitcoin or Ethereum, whatever is utilitarian for their purposes?  At least they'll save on the Ether prices for their DApps!

I'm hungry and unfulfilled; there's still lot's more to be done in this cryptocurrency field.  Its early days yet, like Internet in the era of dinosaur Altavista, Ask Jeeves, Yahoo.  Who knows which cryptocoin will emerge as the Google?  But, when we do find out, then there will be the sense of fulfilment.  But only then, for now, I'm unfulfilled.

It doesn't matter. Think of the long-term.  Prices are always going to rise.  So, if you hold your nerve, that 20k is going to multiply into 100k in a few years, or even within a year according to some analysts.  Don't despair, and always HODL.

LinkedIn for the contacts to grow my network.  Never been on Xing, so can't comment there.

But, if you want to learn more about crypto, then the best source is bitcointalk.org, Medium articles, and good ol' Google.  On LinkedIn, unless you follow the right accounts and make the proper blockchain/ crypto connections, you won't be able to obtain much info on crypto.

Re: Electric cigarette yes/no/maybe?
by

on 15/06/2018, 10:35:31 UTC
I personal think that it's bullshit, but there is a few stories of people who was smoking for 10 years and with electric cigarette stop smoked. I'm a smoker and i would like to stop that's why i need your advice.

If you are a smoker, then maybe electric cigs might be useful to help you quit smoking.  That said, do watch out for them exploding; or, maybe its their lithium batteries.  Anyway, take care.  Perhaps, a nicotine patch, or chewing gum, would be best for that transition phase when you kick the habit.

But, for non-smokers, e-cigs are poison; they serve no purpose because not only do they have the same amount of nicotine as regular 'smokey' cigs, they also contain additional hazards.

Hi, Good Day Cheesy
When someone starts their post with those words, I automatically assume they're a shit-posting cunt.

It's been always my pleasure to Highly Recommend Manager Yahoo62278, Not Just being "Famous"  a well known manager, because of the works that he teamed up with, already succeeded, He is a manager here in the forum for how many years so he also got acquired the title as an ICO advisor at the same time manager. He also knows people to what you are looking for, that is being Listed, He is Full Package.
Shut the fuck up already.Blind Fuck, read the main post and see what type of people he is looking for instead of randomly suggesting anyone who don't seem to do the work OP is interested in.

Hey there, great to see another team here, it can be tough to find good team members in these days, since everyone seems to be starting their own ICO with no experience at all in any of the fields, but there are some websites that are on this topic and you can easily find team members online, the best thing to do to get a well-written whitepaper is finding a great writer and tell him your idea and make him research the topic and write your idea down to a whitepaper with your guided assistance, wish you all the best.
You're correct. Most of the good members in the ICO team are never found on this forum.Especially developers.

Unfortunately, your sage counsel seems lost on the members of this forum.   Roll Eyes
