Bought some last night at 7600 when I heard about the announcement that was planned.
But why is the price going down and down (Currently at 6900)? The announcement is tonight, correct?
Wouldn't that mean the price should go up?

Exactly, everybody is saying the same shit like "don't sell bla bla bla going to the moon next week bla bla bla you will regret, the value will explode bla bla" stop saying bullshits like that. Nobody is doing something, so the value decrease each days (thank you whales/assholes dumpers).

You could also show the charts from inception, you would get a totally different picture. Check the price from mid-march to April 11th, exactly same trend as the one you're talking about, though, it bounced from 150 satoshis to 3000 satoshis. Who would have guessed?
When you see such increase in such short time period, a correction is only due. Support at 1000 satoshis has been hit a few times the past weeks and there was no particular reason to see an explosion in price post-bubble. The multipool is in beta stage, once profitability is back on track, miners will naturally come back - add the 2% fees sent towards the project fund, POT for merchants, this bear market is just temporary.
All that remaisn to be seen, if it ever even happens in the first place.
As it stands now. We've got a dwindling coin with people selling left and right.
That's just the fact of the matter.

Take a look at BC sell and buy orders. You see the bars? Same size. Now go back and check FLT. This surely is a dead coin! Go warn people at the BC thread too.
That's just not true. Blackcoin has MUCH more people buying it than FLT right now.
Did you actually look at the graphs? There's a huge difference in demand.
People are trying to get as much BC as they can because of all the future plans like the PR announcement and people are ditching as much FLT as they can because it's been going downhill for weeks.

The massive loss of miners in the multipool, the continuously lackluster announcements, and the fact that the price has been steadily declining all week.

It's not all doom and gloom. We're still at a MASSIVE amount of growth as compared to just a few days ago.
Going from .03 cents to .13 is a big jump regardless. Even if it isn't the .40 we all wanted to stay.
I'll be buying back in. With the amount of buzz and positive press BC got over the weekend, it's not going away anytime soon.

I feel like the odd man out but I really like Blackcoin and Vertcoin.
They seem to be the most solid and have actual plans for how they intend to develop and what they're going to do in the future.
That's pretty big to me. I like knowing the coin I'm investing in has developers that truly care about it.

Hi guys! New miner here and very excited to be part of the community. Using an HIS 7950 with 8 GB ram for mining.
I checked all the pools on p2pool and picked the one with the best ping near me. Punched it into the .bat file with all my settings and was ready to go.

However, when I double click my .bat file, I'm met with this error message.

Followed by a very low hash rate and work restarts?

I tried swapping out the address with a different node (192.241.184.189:9171) but I got the same results.
