Hey guys, two announcements today!
First one is that all the features talked about in the whitepaper should be delivered in 2-3 days, we've been working night and day and should be pushing them out really soon.
The second one is we had hidden in our sleeve for later but since everyone has an eye on Aegis we decided to give you guys the news now.
We've been saying merchant adoption is one of the things to focus on and we mean it, crypto won't go anywhere if we can't push it to real stores and use, to start this process quicker and because we understand that not every merchant will have an altcoin ready system we are developing an Aegis debit card. This will be something similar to what Xapo will push out for Bitcoin (bitcoin doesn't has this yet!) and we expect to have it ready in 1 to 2 weeks tops. An Aegis credit card will let you use Aegis in ANYPLACE that accepts debit cards and will be linked to an aegis online account that automatically converts Aegis to USD when you're paying for something. Our biggest problem has been actually making the cards but this should be solved soon.
We are also looking for a designer to design the cards, we wanted to make really simple ones but the team is not happy with the design. So if you're interested and are a designer contact us.

We are looking at some ways to anonymize the online wallet and implementing Tor. Another first in crypto world I think

It's in your wallet but it doesn't have a richlist. It would appear on a bittrex address anyways.

Nice work on the coin and the whitepaper, but I must say you've got a horrible logo. It looks bad, and as someone who speaks greek the logo looks even uglier to me. Plus the spinning logo has a typo, the name on your big logo is αεγυσ with υ and logo αεγισ with ι. and also in greek we never put this S (σ) in the end of the word, you put this kind of s: ς so Aεγυς. Word still makes little sense

For the ones without patience to read it all I'll give you a little TL;DR.
Aegis will add: A modified version of Shieldcoin's Anonymous Technology, Blackcoin's PoS 2.0, Vericoin's network stake-dependent interest and an "API called Aegis-1, which will be our gateway to merchant
adoption. This open API client will allow vendors, anywhere, to accept payments with little to no setup costs. (...)", we recommend you to read at least the Merchant Acceptance part of the WhitePaper.
All this features will be coming in the upcoming weeks

Ok guys, we have an ETA! Thanks to our team efforts we will be able to deliver the whitepaper today! Give us 6-7 hours and it should be out, we are doing the final touches.

I noticed some of you complaining about the lack of detail in our ANN. Let me try to fill you in a little better. This week we will be releasing a whitepaper and a roadmap with the mid and short term objectives for aegis, I don't wanna give it all away but like we said before but Blackcoin's PoS 2.0, anonymity features, and work towards unveiling our progress with our payment solutions are some of the strong points of the whitepaper.
