Good to see that community is taking over.
There was no offer made yet, so we had to shut down the seed node to prevent additional costs.
Once community decides who will lead the development we're willing to give github access as well as other resources. It would be nice though, to get back at least part of money we invested. Partner negotiations for backing up the coin wasn't successful for us, but we hope that community will find ways how to push value of this coin up.

Unfortunately it seems that no-premine, instamine or other way of collecting money from coin launch is a must. To keep the coin going it takes quite a lot, not only developing the code, website but also provide an infrastructure costs money. Our experiment with fair coin doesn't seem to work at all.
Monthly outgoing traffic on our seed node is reaching 700GB/monthly. Dedicated server with good performance and connectivity doesn't come for free.
As we're financing dedicated server from own pocket and community is not donating we're going to shut the service on 30th of September.
If there will be new domain owner before end of month, he can point DNS names to his own seed servers.
We're hoping there are people in community that want to see this going on.

Were concerned to announce that due to changes in our real life our group is stopping further development and activities in AEON project. We want to spend more time with our families and our real life jobs are taking simply too much time. Therefore we offer the community to take over the coin future. After summer vacations were releasing update 1.10 that syncs our codebase to current Monero release (credits to Monero team). New release fixes numerous bugs and brings also couple enhancements (mostly RPC wallet).
Were focusing on starting AEON Foundation with a strong partner in a few weeks. Currently we cannot disclose further details about the partnership but if all goes well AEON will be first cryptocurrency backed by an electric energy. Coin can be converted to energy supply at any given point in time. That opens up huge investment opportunity so we need to keep details secret until negotiations are over. We will update forum and website when time is up.
Community has been supporting us so far and whole AEON team is grateful for that. Keep mining and enhancing this amazing coin. Despite few problems were doing well and progressing on the market. BTER voting is still up, so dont forget to vote for us.
