Can I use the Blockchain to store infinity messages?
by
afriace
on 26/03/2021, 00:59:49 UTC
Hi All,

I was thinking if its possible to run a website where everybody can leave a message/story on the blockchain.

If I understand the blockchain correctly, the data storage is decentralized and theoretically the blockchain could run infinitely.

So maybe people in the future can read what we did in our time Smiley

Thanks in advance if someone bothered to give me an answer.

Greetings Hodlers,

as a Hodler and fashion-designer I am very interested in both things, so my idea is to run a website, where you can buy fashion clothes only with Ethereum. No government, no taxes, no third party and no big brother watching you. Only a trusting relationship between customer and seller.

To see if there if some demand for this type of business, I have created a working basic website, where you can see (and maybe buy Grin) different items.

https://hodlersboutique.com/

Maybe you guys can give me some feedbacks or suggestions. If I get enough input, I will try to start running a serious website.

SUBSTRATUM: how communication works in the "open discussion" group
by
afriace
on 17/02/2018, 18:40:33 UTC
Hello guys,

I´m a true believer of Substratum, because I really like the idea. I invested in SUB like 3 months ago. The developer said, that there will be a beta before 2018. I know it´s normal, that things got delayed, but I don´t understand, why the developer are more interested in the marketing than in the product. There will be even a TV spot in the united states. All this without a working product or even a beta released. I´m in the SUB telegram group and today I started to ask the community/developer, why they are more focussing on the marketing than the product. Nobody could give me a real answer and I got banned. So the admins of the SUB telegram "open discussion" group made me mouthdead just because of having no arguments. That´s not how a open discussion works. So let´s compare SUB to some more serious coin like Oyster (PRL):

Oyster delivered the testnet before schedule, not like SUB.
Oyster said, they will not make marketing before working product, not like SUB.
The Oyster community is very technical. They answered my question very well, not like SUB with all the kids asking "when lambo"

This interview has changed my opinions about cryptos

This interview was made from journalist Bob Simon with Jeff Bezos in the year 1999.

They talked about amazon.com. At this time the company had already billions of marketcap, but for the most people internet companies like amazon or yahoo where still something nerdy. But the internet companies changed the whole industry, because the industry needed to define new standard to evaluate the value of those internet companies. If you do watch this you'll see some huge comparisons to the cryptocurrencies.

John McAffee twittered yesterday about SUB. I think, this is a great opportunity for Substratum to get more attention. The beta will launch soon and they are even making a TV Spot. This coin has a lot of room for growth, if the developer can deliver a good program.

Buying my coffee with cryptos!
by

on 22/01/2018, 00:51:36 UTC
Let´s say I want to open a coffee shop where you can buy your coffee ONLY with cryptos.

Which coin would you use for this case?  I would choose XRB, because it is very fast and there are no fees!

Please tell me your suggestions.

Re: Why Ethereum?
by

Smart contracts is a revolutionary technology and ETH is the second most used trading pair after Bitcoin. Almost every ICO is based on Ethereum. The fees are lower than BTC and the transactions are very fast. I should also mention, that ETH is very stable compared to other coins. I think that Ethereum has a bright future.

20% ELIXIR
20% prl
20% xspec
40% eth

I love your portofolio, it´s almost the same like my portofolio. Instead of xspec, I own some REQ. But I´m very interested in XSPEC and Sumocoin. It´s very difficult choosing between those two coins.

Re: Is Elixir going to be the next top coin?
by

on 15/01/2018, 13:09:50 UTC
I have invested in Elixir, because they have a great idea. I follow the telegram group and the community is very active. The community is very big compared to the marketcap. There are only 2 developers, but they are working very hard. I heard, that they want to hire more developers. For more information check out the whitepaper: https://elixirtoken.io/ElixWhitepaper.pdf

The marketcap is still very low, 40 million USD at the moment. When Elixir will get more attention, this coin can give you good profits. There are some good news for this quarter. The alpha test will be launched until Q1 2018.

Thank you guys. After some research, I´m gonna buy the ledger nano, because it´s easier to use. Bitcointalk is a very good community. You helped me a lot. Smiley

Re: Ledger Nano S or Trezor?
by
afriace
on 10/01/2018, 23:44:45 UTC
From everything I've read on the subject, the ledger nano s is the best option for the money. Both are good, but the nano s is a lot cheaper. Trezor support more ERC-20 tokens as far as I know, since it supports all, and ledger only supports a few, but if that is not a problem for you go for ledger. I also heard that the software of the trezor is better. Not saying that is more secure, just that it gives you more options, but nothing really important, so it all comes down to what is the wallet that supports all the coins you want to use. If both do that, then the less expensive is probably better.

I want to store mainly ERC20 tokens on the hardware wallet. I thought ledger nano s also supports all ERC20 like trezor. So in that case it would be better for me to buy trezor, because of the ERC20 support?

Re: What is your Best top 10 altcoin?
by
afriace
on 10/01/2018, 23:38:54 UTC
Ok, I have changed some positions from my last post. This is my new list with the top 10 altcoins for 2018. I have invested in the first 6 positions.

1. ETH
2. SUB
3. Oyster Pearl
4. Elixir
5. REQ
6. BTC
7. NEO
8. RaiBlocks
9. WABI
10. Waves

I have made some detailed posts about SUB, Oyster Pearl and Elixir. Check them out!

Best Advice: Do your own reserach
I understand that this is your opinion and your personal rating altcoin, but I would not put waves in the top ten. To date, this coin is practically asleep, and the platform is at least not in demand among users. Perhaps the popularity will increase in the future, but I hope very little, because there are a lot of competitors today.

This is more my top 6 than my top 10. The other 4 are on my watchlist. But you are right, that Waves got a lot of competitors. I still think they have the better product. At least Waves have a product unlike some other coins that I mentioned.
