Been doing some homework on the implementation of SAFE Validators.
The warm up / cooldown period is 3 epochs, each being around 2 to 3 days each.
If 50% of all coins get staked (as with Solana and the previous SafeNodes) then the annual return will be:
Emissions: 1,440 x 4 = 5,760 SAFE / day
Staked 50%: 15M SAFE
Earnings per SAFE Staked: 5,760 / 15M = 0.000384 x 365 = 0.14 SAFE per annum
Return: 14% per annum on whatever SAFE you delegate to a Validator
These figures are approximate, but I think they're close.

The rewards seem even better when you consider how early we are, with so much upward potential for safecoins price.

are there any plans for novel uses of the new validators on the solana fork chain?

love the idea of a community solana
the hardware requirements for their validators are nuts. I understand wanting to be the absolute fastest chain from a marketing perspective as ethereum is experiencing so much usage and not scaling well yet, but it really does kind of limit the potential for decentralization.
If safecoin has really created an optimized version of that with validators that are affordable to the average person, that's amazing! Excited to see where this goes.

I started a masternode on windows
I followed the guides from bwk and divx and dash to figure out how to do it.
I have the masternode listed (mn1) and it says enabled, but the time count has yet to start.
My ip address shows up on the "all masternodes" list, so I assume it's connected.
does one usually have to wait for a bit before seeing any active time?

I hold no opinions about this coin, but it would be nice if you'd have to at least 100 posts before you're allowed to post the words scam, shitcoin, etc. 
It would be nice to know when and if we could exchange these coins.
I'm concerned in this ICO, and after reading the information on the first page.The total maximum stock is also very reasonable if all tokens are sold.

scroll down and download the 3gb vram version if you have a 3gb card, or 6 if you have 6+
here's an example .bat file to show how to configure it after downloading if you're mining to a pool like suprnova that has a login, otherwise just replace the user with your wallet address:
optiminer -s zero.suprnova.cc:6568 -u user.worker1 -p mypassword -i 0
(setting intensity -i to 0 makes optiminer automatically adjust the intensity for you)
