The new beta version is finally ready. You can download PhoenixMiner 5.7a from here:

PhoenixMiner_5.7a_Windows.zip (GitHub)
PhoenixMiner_5.7a_Linux.tar.gz (GitHub)

The new features in this release are:

  • Added lock core clock
  • The problem with the missing GPU temperatures on Nvidia GPUs is fixed
  • Added native kernels for AMD RX6700 GPUs. These are faster than the generic kernels and produce a lot less stale shares
  • Increase the max supported DAG epoch to 550 (should be enough to about Jan 2023)
  • Full support for setting clocks, fan speeds, voltages, and memory timings of AMD RX6900/6800/6700 cards
  • The specific hashrate is now shown in the form of kilo hashes per joule (kH/J). Example: if a GPU has hashrate of 30 MH/s with 100W power usage, the specific hashrate is 300 kH/J
  • Added new command-line parameters -ttj and -ttmem, allowing automatic fan speed control based on GPU hotspot (junction), and memory temperatures respectively. Example: -ttmem 83 will keep the GPU memory temperature at or bellow 83C by increasing the fan speed as necessary. These parameters can be combined with -tt, as well as with each other. These options are supported only on AMD GPUs that report junction and memory temperatures
  • Added new command-line parameters -tmaxj and -tmaxmem, allowing to decrease the GPU usage when the GPU hotspot (junction), or GPU memory temperatures are above the specified thresholds. These options are supported only on AMD GPUs that report junction and memory temperatures
  • Added support for AMD Windows drivers 21.3.2, and 21.3.1
  • Added support for AMD Linux drivers 20.50.x. Use this drivers only if you have Polaris or older GPUs, or the latest RX6x000 GPUs. WARNING: Vega, Radeon VII, and Navi GPUs won't work with these drivers!
  • Turn off the zero fan feature on AMD cards whenever a fixed fan speed is used (e.g. -tt -40), or when an auto fan with min fan speed is used (e.g. -tt 63 -minfan 35). To disable this feature, add -fanstop 1 command-line parameter
  • When -mcdag 1 is specified under Linux, the miner will not wait for the daggen.sh script to finish before starting to generate the DAGs. Instead it will for a fixed 7 seconds. This allows you to do all the following in the daggen.sh: turn off the overclocking of Nvidia GPUs, sleep for 30-60 seconds to allow time for DAG generation, and then re-apply the overclocking of the Nvidia GPUs
  • Other small improvements and fixes

The support for -ttj, -ttmem, -tmaxj, and -tmaxmem for Nvidia 3090 and 3080 GPUs is not yet ready for release. We hope to have it ready for the final 5.7 release.

For more robust integrity check, you can use our GPG public key, which was verifyed with ETH transaction from our main devfee account as explained here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2647654.msg56755869#msg56755869.

Please let us know if you have any problems or questions related to PhoenixMiner 5.7a.

Re: Why people are buying when the price is going up and not when it is down
by

Everyone has their own strategy for trading. Those who only follow FOMO usually only want to get a little profit to avoid high risks. Buying coins when it goes down is quite risky, because not all coins will easily going up. The team needed "a big news" to attract investors to buy their coins on the exchange, and of course it isn't easy. I think buying coins when it's going up is better, because you only need to pay attention to the moment "buy/sell" to make a profit.

Re: Does Name really matter in crypto?

on 18/09/2020, 20:10:03 UTC
Yes, it's very important. The name is like a power in a project, the team will do their best to keep the name of their project. So that, the chances of the project become successful will be even greater.

It's not as easy as you think, if it was so simple we might have become millionaires quickly. Not all projects will be successful, even when the token sale is in high demand it can dump in just few seconds when the coins was listed on the exchange.

Yes, as a crypto enthusiast I hope crypto will be the currency of the future.  This technology is very easy to use for anyone. For those who don't know crypto, we just need to teach them.

Crypto has a high risk, we can't invite people to understand crypto even they really want it. Just because DeFi is hype now, we can't let them enter the crypto abyss. Let them learn how crypto works by themselves, if they get a scam project/trading losing you need to worry about it.

I haven't trade any coins there yet, but my friend said you must have at least 0.05 - 0.1 eth. You must prepare enough gas to buy any coins on Uniswap, mate.

Nope. Staking is only your choice, DeFi is not always related to stake and you are free to do anything for your coins on exchange. If you're looking for DeFi coins you can join/follow these channel: https://t.me/blockchain_lobsters, https://t.me/FomoCathers and https://t.me/cryptodakuofficial. Re: Any good recent bounty campaigns?
by
agis50
on 13/09/2020, 11:55:51 UTC
You can do these tips, I always do these first before join bounty campaign.

1. You have to see their website

You must check all about the project on the website, such as: What project looks like, Roadmap, Whitepaper, Features, Team, and Social Media.

2. Bounty Manager

Of course bounty manager is the most important on bounty campaign, famous BM will give you a good service and almost all the projects they handle are legit. You can follow/join their program from Bounty Detective, Wapinter, Btcltcdigger, or Arteezy.

3. Hope

We only need to hope, we don't know how the project will develop in the future, even the project that is listed on the exchange can be exit scam.

We can't predict Crypto, it's very difficult. Crypto has a lot of users, we can't prevent users from selling their crypto when we buy it at 24 high. However, you can analyze charts when it's time to buy or sell. You only need to learn the Crypto movement, it's never too late to buy Crypto.

DeFi will continue but their trend will end in the next few years. Crypto will always be innovating all the time. Developers will always find interesting ideas for future Crypto developments. Nobody knows how Crypto will develop in the future but DeFi won't end.

DeFi project is still seems interesting, they always create any features useful for crypto enthusiast. Seeing the progress of DeFi project in the last few months, I think DeFi project has great potential in the future. But, we must be carefully. Many developers creates shit DeFi project just to get profit and exit scam

Re: What is your Biggest Crypto Regret?
by
agis50
on 10/09/2020, 03:56:53 UTC
My first biggest regret was I didn't hold XRB coins. I got 2K XRB coins on the faucet for 2 months, I sold the coins when it's enough to sell (around $100). When the faucet was stopped, it only took a month for XRB coins to pump to $30. If I hold XRB coins I should get $60.000, at the time I always think why I don't try to wait a little bit to hold XRB coins  Cry
