Re: Media misinterpreting news in India
by

on 02/02/2018, 11:41:44 UTC

Sooner or later they will wake up to the fact that demonetization is a fad, Bitcoin cannot be banned and there cannot be a "Hindu" rashtra in a modern society. Just give it some time. Justice and the good will prevail. The unemployed and the poor AND the middle class would actually be happy. So far, BJP has underperformed. Future gov. would probably (lol) do better.

Hope you wake up to the fact that this has nothing to do with demonitization or Hinduism or rich or poor or unemployment. People like you are no different from the mainstream media. People like you are the reason why most debates in India always end up being either political or religious. Because you derive some sort of satanic pleasure in involving religion/politics into a cryptocurrency discussion, knowing fully well that that is the sort of useless crap that will drive attention towards your post. Exactly what the mainstream media does. For TRPs.

I wish some Indians were smarter than this.

The stance still remains unchanged as it was earlier. And given Mr. Modi is as pro towards digital things, it was never going to be any other way. Government wants to adopt blockchain and does not want cryptocurrencies to finance criminal activities. I think that's as fair as they can be. Unless you are engaged in wrongful activities or not paying taxes, you should be just fine.

In India, you can very safely ignore MSM (mainstream media). They are more bothered about their revenues and TRPs. They are the biggest FUDers on earth.

So Peter Hoogslag is your CEO or Deputy CEO? On the website it's CEO but on his [really fishy looking] LinkedIn profile, it's Deputy CEO. Also, who writes his name without first letter capital? That's quite lousy of a CEO who is about to transform the travel industry.

Govt banks using Ripple so what will Modi government will say on using blockchain technology

I think crypto currencies are still not banned in India precisely because the prime minister seems to be a really tech loving person. Hint: Digitisation of all government interactions.

If it would have been any other government, they would have already banned it thinking, "How come common Indians get to become rich like us?"

Don't you think there might be a reason why they are only warning people about the risks instead of outright banning it. You think if they wanted to ban everything they couldn't do it in one day?

After demonization failure and Confused GST now Govt targeting Bitcoin investors with fear in reality bitcoin investors are intelligent

Typical Indian who rants without logic. As long as you have done your KYC and are paying tax on your earnings you have nothing to worry about. If you are laundering money through BTC/crypto, then the Govt. has all the right to target you. Stop crying and thinking you are an intelligent bitcoin investor.

Also, this is not a forum to discuss Demonisation & GST. So if you are some political party puppet, find a different forum.

Re: Coinsecure shady tactics for profit. Borderline scam.
by
agnosticpilgrim
on 22/01/2018, 10:31:12 UTC
Coinsecures website doesn't let you enter a Bitcoin amount with more than 3 digits after the decimal point. So if you made a purchase of 0.055 Bitcoins you will get 0.05478000 Bitcoins because they charge 0.4% fee, which is totally fine. They even show how much you get in their wallet.

Now here's the problem if after some time you want to sell off those Bitcoins and you try to enter 0.05478 guess what? YOU CAN'T.
All you can do is enter 0.054 and CONGRATULATIONS you just lost 0.00078 Bitcoins.

Well that is just wrong. Even if the 'residue' satoshi are in the wallet, you can't do anything about it. That's just forced unused amount. And it's not a small amount either. In this example if the person has 0.00078 bitcoins left in his wallet, that amounts to Rs. 580. You can't just force him to not use his Rs. 580 and keep it in the wallet because your website only allows 3 decimals instead of the full 8.

Re: Zebpay's New app started Death of bitcoin in india
by
agnosticpilgrim
on 20/01/2018, 05:30:28 UTC
That's exactly what an exchange means. Matching of bids/asks. Earlier Zebpay was quoting it's own price to buy bitcoin. Now the seller quotes a price. They should have made the users aware of this change before just jumping on it. They started getting 1 star reviews on Android  Grin. Anyway, they are all mostly just useless, these Indian exchanges. None of them can correctly process the most basic requirement, INR deposit.

Zebpay asks for 1-5 days on wire. Netbanking doesn't have popular banks
Koinex has only netbanking. No popular banks again
Unocoin's rates are usually 1 lac above everyone else for buying & least rates for selling BTC. Greedy bastards.

Haven't tried the likes of Coinsecure / Coindelta / Coinome although Coinome looks good out of these three.

Zebpay will go down very fast. They are too lazy in processing payments. By the time my INR is credited, the world has moved a lot and that is just useless IMO.

The Govt. doesn't want the common man to make money. The rich should stay rich. The poor should stay poor. That's how control works.

It's kind of funny with this coin. Don't understand what's going on. When I check on Cryptopia, everyone is selling it left, right and centre. When I check on Yobit, everyone is buying it. How can there be such a stark difference between 2 exchanges for the same coin at the same price?

**GPU Mining for Newbies**

If you are new to the world of mining and what it exactly does and how can your earn money from it, here is a starter kit to understand everything and an example rig to get started with your own mining setup.

PLEASE NOTE I AM NOT AN EXPERT. I have just started mining myself and based on what I have learnt so far, I am sharing this with people who wish to get into mining.

WORD OF WARNING
Be prepared to lose all your money if it comes to that. This is a volatile, decentralized and deregulated world. If you lose, you have nowhere to complain. Only risk the amount of money you may be prepared to lose in its entirety.

A. HARDWARE (This is my rig, as an example for starters)
6 x 1050Ti Zotac 4GB (Smaller one with Single Fan)
1 x ASUS B250 Mining Expert Motherboard
1 x Cooler Master 850 Power Supply 80+ Gold
1 x 4 GB DDR4 Corsair Value Plus RAM
1 x 120 GB Transcend SSD
6 x Power Riser PCIe Cards (You will attach your Graphic Cards on these riser cards. You cannot attach 6 GPUs on a motherboard)

Total Approximate Value ~ INR 1.2 Lacs

I would suggest you ask your local retailer to source these parts for you since buying online will be expensive. Most prices are pumped due to interest and demand. For Eg. I got 6 PCIe Riser Cards at Rs. 650/each. On Amazon the MintCell 6 pack cards are selling for Rs. 8000!

B. ELECTRICITY COSTS
Total Drawn Wattage: ~600 watts (You can get an estimate of this on in.pcpartpicker.com)

Calculate your unit rates from your electricity bill. Residential is always cheaper than commercial (which is usually double the cost)

Calculate the number of Units drawn by your setup like this (this is an example from city)
(600 watts x 24 hours x 31 days)/1000 = 446.400 Units x 4 Rs = ~ Rs. 1785 / month (Divided by 1000 because 1 unit = 1000 watts)
Note - Rs. 4 is the kWh rate or 1 unit, which means Rs. 4 for 1000 watts every hour.
On whattomine.com, you put your kWh rate in USD ($) to calculate cost, revenue & profitability (Eg. Rs. 4 = $0.06/kWh)

C. SOFTARE
Windows 10 Pro x64 (*If you are uncomfortable with other Operating Systems, just use Windows, it's completely fine. The aim is to mine and not end up fiddling with OS and codes)
Other popular OSes for mining -> Ubuntu, Simple Mining OS

Mining Software
NiceHash
If you are an absolute beginner, use NiceHash Miner. The software will benchmark your rig and tell you how much you can earn per day from your setup and mine for you. Very user friendly. Just keep the NiceHash miner on all time and you start receiving Bitcoins in your NH wallet. You need to sign up on their website.

Pro Miners
Once you begin exploring the world of crypto mining, you can start using dedicated miners to mine specific currencies. To mine using these software, you will need to join mining pools. Simply search on Google for the mining pool of the currency you want to mine. There will be multiple. Some require sign up.

You can download the respective miner depending on your GPU (NVIDIA or AMD)

THINGS TO NOTE
1. You need to be patient with mining. Don't expect to become a millionaire in a year.
2. You will need months to break even on your setup
3. Use the official currency wallet for mining. Do not use Exchanges or exchange addresses.

IMPORTANT
Let your crypto currencies accumulate until you absolutely need to withdraw. Withdrawal/deposit/transfer transactions incur a network fee, which although is in decimals, you will never realise you have lost a lot of money just by transferring your currencies here and there.

For Eg. the usual withdrawal fees for Bitcoin is 0.00100000 BTC, which seems a very small number but when converted to Indian Rupee at the time of writing this post, is Rs. 853.

Good luck and Happy Mining! If you have questions I will answer them to the best of my knowledge. Experts are welcome.

Where is your smartcontract ?
The one here right : https://github.com/ezpos/eztoken-contract/blob/master/contracts/EzToken.sol

You just try to commit something, and try to update after I reported in your facebook channel.

Ok, let I back to my question:

1/ In your whitepaper, you said that you used ERC20 for your EZToken
https://ibb.co/d5XtZ6

But where is your EZToken come from ?
You haven't deployed any smartcontract to ethereum network, so how could you sell something you dont own mate ?

You do ICO (Initial Coin Offering) but you don't have any coin, so what do you offer for your investor ?

You should learn how to do ICO before trying to scam, you could read it here (https://ethereum.org/crowdsale)

Okie, and now what should I call you Mate ?

Anything on this front? What's the final verdict of this thing?

Yes you understand that correctly. Pretty sure the Telegram coin, although called 'gram' will be listed as TON for short.
