Re: Buying bitcoins in Chile?

Hi There!

I was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction so I may once again trade Bitcoins in Chile. I was regular user of the now defunct TradeHill and like many others I was left without a reliable exchange to have some bitcoin fun.  Cry

Perhaps some chilean user has Bitcoins for sale? Or an easy way to transfer money from Chile to MtGox?

thanks everyone  Smiley

I know this is an old thread, but I'll leave this in case anyone is searching and stumbles upon this one.. you can try SurBTC for trading bitcoins in Chilean peso https://www.surbtc.com (Disclaimer: I'm a member of the board)

My guess is these auctions end up being good publicity for bitcoin. Ain't it?

"Blockchain technology will pervade, but not bitcoin."

I've heard that phrase thousands of times, and I've thought about it enough to be sure I don't agree.
Bitcoin is necessary for the blockchain to exist, without the incentive, there are no miners and there is no network to rely on.
If you assert that the blockchain will pervade, you necessarily imply bitcoin as a currency will too.

What do you think?

(no estoy proponiéndolo, solo preguntando)

Very nice compilation!
Would is be possible to add the current price on each one ? I believe all these exchanges have APIs
It would be great to be able to calculate say, if I have USD 1000 I can get X bitcoins if I use exchange Z, considering all fees...

Re: Coins not showing up in my wallet (using MultiBit)

In theory it is quite simple, if you have the private key that unencrypts what ever is encrypted using 1K83foH3zcUnm1gpLXVKYda4r1vSwE1VXh, then you own those bitcoins.. the thing is doing this test can be a relatively difficult task...(technically speaking). You could try encrypting some words... and trying to unencrypt using the private key... maybe someone with a better technical background can help!?
