Hi guys! I have a problem with burn out usb-c cable on the psu, its seems to be common problem (living in Europe), I need advice, I found this: HP 2x460W PSU Avalon Nano 3, but then I search for alternative and "eureka" I found cheap server psu brand HP  Model: Workstation xw4400 | DPS-460CB Grade A from a store with 1m warranty.
Guys if i solder usb-c type cable(something better and not so thin the cable usb-c 240W for i.e.) for this psu, will it run at high speed? Any help will be gladly appreciate!

get dell 165w adapter.

Dam 14 is too high . No point of residential mining . Try hosting services . You buy a miner and send it directly to  a hosting service . Electricity is cheap . Research it .

The model is Antminer S19j Pro 104TH/s, 3.2kW, bought from ebay from a guy in Croatia. I should've bought the avalon Q indeed, once i complete my setup i might get it
What do you mean by bitmain miners are failing a lot? What is meant by failing?

Also how do you handle the sound from these miners? Do you just keep them away from where you live or is there some nice methods to isolate them but also keep the air flow good so they dont overheat?
Do you use thermostats or any other monitoring methods for the temperature. I just saw a video in youtube of a guy dismantling a bitmain, removing the fans and setting up hydro cooling system.. however the sound didn't change as much as i would like to  (heard it in the video)
cost of miner and Electricity costs?

I reccomend you sell it and use the proceeds to buy avalon Q.

3200W give you 104Thash gives you 30.8J whereas Q gives you 1674W at 90T+5% at 18.6.

My miner mini 3 does not make any sound. It is silent. nano 3 makes a lot of sound.

If you want to reduce noise then you would have to reduce power.

ajaxtempest!! nice find on the new miner brother, thanks so much, I might order it indeed. Btw the s19j pro arrived and I tried it both on pool with other people and on solo mining * just for about an hour *.
Need to wait to install the solar so my mining has some financial reason for me, the sound from the s19j pro is so loud tho, I didn't expect that much sound, now I'm thinking if maybe I should build a small area outside of the house where I should put it or alternative ways to limit the sound.. maybe I'll put in in the garage in the first place but we'll see

which model? thash and price?

you should have bought Avalon Q. Db is 45-55 only compare to bitmain 85db. also bitmain miners are failing a lot.
buy 1 avalon Q and wait for winter and get the future mini 4 or Q2.

Mining power at medium and low mode ? And when will you have direct sale from your website rather than third party .

Please bring back credit card payments .

Also Q efficiency is around 18.6j . Hope you release another product which has efficiency comparable to s21xp but does not use more than 1674w like Q and has pose model levels .

Hey, I'm looking to order something right now so I don't have to wait when I get back home, I decided to give it a try with a solar powered setup. I was going for S19k Pro 120TH/s, but I can't find any good deals right now in Europe, only in China and I'm not sure how the customs will handle it. I found this one from Croatia which will be delivered easier and cheaper, any thoughts on it? S19j Pro 104TH . It is used but is just around 1000 eur. The plan is to upgrade to 2 or 3 miners if everything works fine, but not sure what will be the other ones yet.

OP. Canaan just launched a 90T miner Avalon Q. Takes 1674W at high power. Mid power @ 70T 1300W and low power 42T at 800W.

get that

I would recommend to get 2 Avalon mini . Will consume 2x800 and give 80t with home heating and it is very very quiet .

Don’t ware on Q. If you want to mine get ant miner s19k pro 120t.

My mini 3 does 41T at 820w at max mode but I am running at med mode at 543w for 30T . Making 0.0005 Btc every 45 days running 75% uptime medium model.

Powerpool only 1% fees . See my referral In my sign.

The miner mini 3 makes wowed sounds for atleast 5 times in first 5 mins when starting the miner . Click cluck type of sounds. Like heating causes something to expand and it makes a sound . Doing it since day one but it is more pronounced .

Hi,

Suggestion:  A schedule option.
Example: At night the electricity is cheaper and I'm not in the office, so having the option to schedule High speed/Hash during that period would be nice. In the morning (another schedule option) when I'm in the office: Low power, low noise and low cost.

I hope we can have this option in a future firmware version (or the option to do this with Home Assistant ?)

br,
M
Hello
Thanks for your feedback and we will share it with our product team Smiley

To add this . Please have a on and off schedule operation like mini 3 . I switch off at night big have to manually switch it off and turn on it manually in morning

Thanks man, I'm pretty new to mining and I'm considering. I have residency in italy at the moment so I'm considering both countries as an option

what are your costs? budget?

for starters use canaan avalon mini 3
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5521037.0

canaan are not as efficient compared to bitmain but are reliable.

couple of days of mining. I am using powerpool. they claim giving more payouts compared to others.

I switch on the miner at 6 am and switcho ff at 12 am. This is done atumatically in the app. The only problem is that i have to set it everyday as the app removes the auto on off settings after completion of the script.

Yestarday while running in high model of 797W at 40T hash, i saw in the miner led screen "wining" Lol

My only apprehension is that i dont want to use it at full power mode 24\7 as this is a new product and there are no service center in my country.

HI,

I know this has been answered but i was unable to find any info.

https://github.com/jstefanop/Apollo-Miner-Binaries

can i use apollo 2 miner binaries OS image file on raspberry pi 5 and link my own miners ie nano 3?

You cant use the images on the Raspberry Pi as it's designed for our custom ARM controllers. The OS itself can be installed on any linux system, but requires some modifications on the system.

it expects an nvme drive at /dev/nvme0n1p1, and the Bitcoin database folder at /media/nvme/Bitcoin

You could probably symlink both of these to wherever they exist on your system and it would probably work on any ARM system

Thanks for the reply. Can you list the steps and will the OS workj on x86 processor. I have a mini pc with 1tb HDD  windows 11(not ssd).  I will have to format it and upload the Os via pendrive.

nice to hear recommendation for s19k pro 120T @ 2760w as it is one of the miners that I liked on ebay.

by the way, are you hesitant to order from china or they should be fine? because the best offers that I see for 'brand new' miners are from hongkong/shenzen.

also the link that you've sent for the 270TH miner has some 'trusted vendors' at the bottom, should I order from them since I don't see it on ebay ( x-on mining, apexto, crypto tech, yesmining... )

if you live in usa buy from altair

better get a heater mode of s19k pro
https://altairtech.io/product/bitchimney/

https://altairtech.io/product-category/miners/bitmain/

what voltage system you have ? 3 phase? 1 phase?

temperature viariation in your city?

electricity costs?
