Even for a world full of shit-coin clones this is stupid. Anyone that mines this is a complete moron as no exchange will every list it. If you can't see this for what it is then you deserve to get took. You should be insulted that the OP thinks so low of you people that someone would think it wise to even try such a money grab.

Sounds like an excellent idea. I could absolutely see a market for this. For pricing, I'd build them to be able to work with 'x' amount of machines for 'x' amount of money. Purely examples, but maybe like 0.1 BTC for up to each 5 machines. So if you had up to 5 machines/rigs going you coudl grab that. Then if you had say 8 or 9 rigs, you'd get the 10 machine/rig model for maybe 0.195 BTC and so-on. Obviously you'd have your own pricing based on actual cost of parts and labor, but I definitely think you would find a welcoming market for any kind of remote control/monitoring devices for that matter. Good luck with it though, hope you get it up and going.

Re: Dogecoin halving is soon!
by

Atlantis, that's a shit pool. I only mine at like 850-900 KH/s and I make around 4500-5k Doge per day and that's with a 1.5% fee, and me donating another 0.5%. If your pool's not hitting blocks every half hour, or hour, then yeah, especially if there's a lot of people then it makes the payouts per block bad. It shouldn't take you 2 days though to figure that out. All you gotta do is look at your block reward estimates and then go to the Pool statistics and see how often they hit blocks, not their "Est. Avg. Time per Round (Pool)" but look at the last few blocks and the kind of time frame it took them to find them. If they're only finding 1 block every 2 hours, and your estimated payout for the block is 200 Doge then you're only going to get around 2400 Doge for the day no matter what those other numbers say. Those are just rough estimates. Just a heads up really to anyone as it's a fairly quick method to figure out if it's worth your time to mine at a certain pool.

Too bad you're far too biased to give objective investing advice. I've seen you predicting Dogecoin's demise now no less than 2 times, one of which you even created a thread to tell everyone how it would crash in the next few days. I believe it has done nothing but go up ever since. Lol. I don't think you're a scammer, and I believe you may even have some valuable knowledge, but I also believe that you're attitude or biases towards certain coins would cloud your judgement.

For those of you who were asking if you're getting the normal rates, you can use this chart as a general guide. https://litecoin.info/Mining_hardware_comparison. It's not a definitive guide, and there's a link they call the "raw data" page with a bit more updated information, however it hasn't been filtered or sorted as the 1st link. https://litecoin.info/Mining_hardware_comparison/raw_data is that one. You can look at your model number there though and get a good idea if you're in the ball park or not of where your card is.

They're still very much worth obtaining. Don't listen to the clowns in this forum, most of them can't even spell economics, let alone know anything about predicting markets. Best thing you can do is read as much "OBJECTIVE" information as possible, look at what kind of future plans, if any, the coins has for it, and then make the best educated decision you can. There's no reason to think that Doge has peaked at all yet, it's funny how everyone around here lives day to day, sometimes hour to hour. This definitely isn't the place for any kind of serious investment discussion. You'll see raging bias and opinions screaming through and trying to cloud your decision. Personally I think they are, unless you're looking for something to turn around in a week or two and make a quick profit anyway.

Yay! KlondikeCoin is now on coinwarz.com :)
by

on 06/02/2014, 22:25:31 UTC
I'll preface this by saying I have a bit of a sentimental attachment to this coin, due to the fact that it was one of the first coins I was able to get in early on mining after I got my equipment. I even mined a couple of solo blocks myself, and it's not really out of the question right now actually. I just don't have the patience so I've been bouncing around a couple of pools. Anyway though, I went over to coinwarz.com today to do one of my usual "check-ins" and what do I see there as the 2nd most profitable coin, good old KDC. I had been hoping for a while that it might make its way on there, so needless to say I was pretty excited to see it there. Aside from it being the first coin I had the equipment to mine on release, I actually like the vibe behind the coin. The dev's seem to be active and genuinely interested in trying to make it at the very least a little niche in Canada. Just wondering if there's any other KDC'ers out there that were as happy as I was to see it show up there, and wanted to give a heads up that it is there to anyone who might not have known.

Re: Why endless supply will make Dogecoin worthless

This is just the typical thread full of opinions rather than fact. It's been a comical read, but you failed to address a rather large factor in your little theory. How is it going to be just as profitable to mine long term as the block rewards halve? Not only will you have less coins, but there will be more competition as more and more people try to mine it. To think that would be any kind of realistic threat is somewhat laughable. Look at what has happened in just the last 3 weeks. Kick, yell, and scream if you want, but Doge isn't going to just crash and burn as I see so many of you clowns insisting. There was one thread, I should've saved it, but this guy his username is like tk808 or something titles this thread "Dogecoin will crash in the next 3 days" or something silly like that. Not only did it not crash, it went up in value over the next 3 or 4 days after his thread. You guys need to stop trying to predict everything day to day and just sit back and let nature take its course.

I like how active the devs seem to be on this coin. For all the overnight ones that disappear, it's nice to see some like this that seem to be genuinely interested in creating a little market for it. I can't help but agree on the mining it right now. I've been mining it during the days here when the difficulty drops, and it's been working out nicely. Good luck though in the future with it, I'd really like to see this one stick around. (No I don't have many of them either, just one of the earlier coins I saw when I first came around, so it's cool to see it lasting)

Re: Help - can not raise thread concurrency *Reward*

Ok, so the top one, with the 2 lines above your cgminer.exe....... cmd call is what you want to use. The reason you're hashing so low is because of your low TC. Raise your TC to 24,000 to start, and then go up from there until you find the right settings. You needed those 2 lines you now have to increase your TC above the default spec limit. I had the same issue on a set of my cards. Increase your TC to 24000 and your intensity to 17 to start, and then just tweak from there. Also don't be afraid to strip a lot of those settings your using there as you can control or keep an eye on some of it yourself. I've found most aren't needed personally. https://litecoin.info/Mining_hardware_comparison is an excellent source of information as people have their config calls listed there. You'll see most aren't that long at all. I started there though and tweaked a few my TC and Intensity until I found the best combo for me, you shouldn't have any prob doing the same now.

Edit: Ok, so I just saw you can't get past the TC limit, which is odd with you using the proper:

setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1

The only thing I can think of is to run the actual batch file itself and insert those 2 lines above it, or and you can try this either way, but maybe right click and run as admin. Maybe since it's a fresh build you need to set the environment variable and you have to "Run as Administrator" to do so. Just seems odd that you'd still be getting the TC error with those 2 lines in your batch file. I had the same problem on the one I just built, but as soon as I added those to the batch file I was good. I can't say for sure I didn't right click and do that once or twice though. I was getting pretty frustrated as I'm sure you are, and I was trying tons of stuff. Good luck though and hope it works out for ya.

I actually think you're just shy of what you'd need. You can feel free to ask around or wait to see if anyone with any first-hand experience can help you, but according to Gigabyte's website it says you need 500w.

I'm getting 860 Kh/s from my 2 270x's, and I paid less than $200 each. $194 x 2 = $388 for about 860 Kh/s. Not sure if it's feasible for you to run twice the cards, but it's a much better value. It's the main reason I got these instead of the 280x's. Plus they're a lot easier to find, but do with that what you will. Just wanted to throw it out there.

Re: Most Promising Altcoins for 2014

on 28/01/2014, 00:23:22 UTC
I'm actually intrigued by a little coin called KlondikeCoin. I've made a couple posts about it before, it might be a sentimental thing, as it was the first coin I was able to get in early on when I first got my GPU's a couple weeks ago. Lol. In any event though, the developers seem to be staying active with it, so maybe it'll pop who knows. My thought was since it's Canadian themed it might catch on in Canada and find a little market there. I don't have anything wrapped up in it aside from what I've mined so I'm not going to be bummed if it flops or anything, but I am curious to see how it goes.

LottoCoin, and Dogecoin are the other 2 I could potentially see this year being a big one for. Doge for obvious reasons, and Lottocoin for similar reasons as Klondike. The difference though, is Lottocoin has already established itself somewhat. It's nothing huge, but it does have a community behind it that also seems active, and a bit bigger, so I'm interested in seeing how that turns out as well.

This has been an excellent thread, and I'm glad you kept it going. I just recently got a pair of 270x's and have been in love with them so far. I don't know enough about power consumption to really speak to you initial question or thought as to the the most efficient, but this thread is actually helping me to understand a little better so thank you for that. After researching as best I could the price vs the kh/s and took into account how the prices were raised on certain cards I found the 270x to be the best value. I'm curious to see how it performs in your tests. Thanks again for all this and have a great day.

Lol, you should get a temp-ban from making new threads for something this useless. As if anyone believes that YOU, of all people, has any "inside" information. Just to poke some more fun at you though, please do share since you're so interested in helping everyone. I'd love to see who it is that controls enough of the entire Dogecoin market to make it move that substantially, and I'd be even more curious why it is this person would impart this information to you. Especially since everyone can see that you're only here to spew negativity to anything you don't like yourself. Next time don't waste the forum's bandwidth with your dumbass opinions. That's all they are as you hold no weight in any circles that matter, and you sure as hell don't know anyone that has enough coins or power to make the entire market move. The idea that someone like you would know someone like that is so laughable that I literally can't even come up with a good enough way to convey what a joke you've made yourself out to be. The best part about this nonsense is it wouldn't have mattered the coin. I just think the whole premiss of this thread is hilarious when you really think about it. Thanks for the "inside scoop" though. ROFL.

Yeah, that's insane cheap man. Jump on that as fast as you can. Assuming it all works, you'd of spent more on just the GPU's than what he's asking. It's nowhere near enough to mine Bitcoin though. Anything outside of ASIC's are just spinning your wheels IMO. I mean you might see a little return but not nearly what you could make on other alt coins for sure.

Yeah I got an email from them the other day that said they were taking BTC. The best email was the previous one though. If I had the extra cash, and space, which is actually a bigger problem at the moment, I would have jumped on it in a second. They were offering a Sapphire 3GBDDR5 Ram HD 7950 with a 650 Watt PSU for only $325. It was a pretty excellent deal if you research prices and the rates you get in return. You're doing pretty good though if you've been able to acquire that much BTC from only 100 Kh/s. Good luck with your build when you get to it.

Lol, you are not alone my friend. I'll switch coins no less than once, and sometimes twice, and that's me showing restraint. I would switch them every hour if I didn't stop and think about it first. Sometimes I'll see a certain coin's value jump, or the difficulty drop significantly, and I'm like "shit I better get back on this". Usually I can keep it to only one other coin than the one I'm mining heavily at the moment. Yesterday and today it's be Klondikecoin. I don't know why, and I certainly don't have a stake other than my own little bit of mining time, but something about that coin intrigues me. Could just be the usual hype around a new coin and it'll fade off, but for w/e reason I just had a feeling that the developers would stick around, and so far they have. Anyway though, I don't want to seem like I'm trying to push it on anyone so to get back to your original question, I'd imagine that there's hundreds if not thousand of people that feel that exact same feeling. The ability to control it and stick with your gut and what you think will do best long term is the key.
