If you check out the attached video Bytas you'll get an idea of the music. It's really in demo format at the moment but i have big plans for it. I submitted the project when the value of BTC was lower, but whatever someone invests, I pledge to return twice the investment a year after release of the album.

With the US announcing its desire to 'regulate' bitcoin, can anyone comment if this is even possible with the open-source/decentralized structure of the bitcoin set up?

I do love the idea of this, will wait for further developments to implement it myself, good luck to all those involved at the minute.

Well it is about promoting my music but i'm a big proponent of bitcoin, so i think music and bitcoin is part of the revolution that deserves being in the main discussion forum, and if i become well known the bitcoin community will benifit also. Not that without my input bitcoin wont become widely adopted as it is clearly on its way to world wide adoption...anyway, i like music and i like bitcoin and i think it's the best method for musicians and artists to have a sustainable career without middlemen.

PS. Mods, could you keep this post in this forum as opposed to moving it to digital goods? I feel it is relevant to the overall discussion to tie in music generally with the bitcoin ethos.

Would the idea be that people buy the album with standard currency and are given both the album and bitcoin stock in it's future development?

If the coins are colored in a way that makes them unable to be traded with the rest of the bitcoin-iverse, I'm not sure how benificial that would be to people..

and then there's the technical issues with putting together such a system...is that an easy process or would i need programming experience?

I'd say it is definately the strongest currency on the planet...considering it is completely unique in the way it is designed and how it opperates, and is invulnerable to the catestrophic weakness posessed by fiat currency. It is only a matter of time before it is recognised as being the strongest currency, there is no debate as to whether or not it is, the debate is over when it will take it's place as no1 currency in terms of number of users.
