No you don’t. They’re all open source and available for anyone to use
And to note, products built on DADI run over existing protocols: there are no special plugins for your audience to install

hoanghai is correct, no additional software or plugins etc are required. The DADI network is completely compatible with existing technology.  Smiley

Token distribution

On Friday February 16th, we will begin the token distribution process.

After 12:00 UTC, account pages on dadi.cloud will be updated to show the total number of tokens that a participant will receive. The total number of tokens includes those purchased by the participant, as well as any credited to them from purchases made by people they referred.

Users will be asked to confirm the ERC-20 compatible wallet that they would like to use for their tokens. This must be a wallet that the user controls the private key for, not an exchange wallet! Once submitted, this information cannot be changed. Failure to provide a valid wallet address will result in loss of tokens. (We have a list of recommended wallets that you can use here.)

As an extra layer of security, a confirmation code will be sent to the email address registered to the user account. This code must be entered in the box provided on the website to confirm the withdrawal request. Once that has been done, we will begin the token distribution.

The distribution of purchased tokens will be processed within 24 hours of request confirmation. Referral tokens will be processed in a separate transaction which may take up to five days.

https://medium.com/@daditech/token-distribution-c87c9fed76f0

You beat me to it.

Thanks chap!

What is the next step for Dadi? Is there any ETA when it should go to exchanges? Actually, I'm not even sure that I've got my tokens on MEW

Distribution is next – coming in the next few weeks.

Good job guys and what about exchanges or trading sites, Thinking this should be a good one!Congratulations to anyone who managed to get a place in the pre-sale lottery.  I wasn't so lucky.  Guess I can still contribute to the crowdsale.

We'll have more details about that soon.

hopefully with some sort of cap as maximum distribution from one address. Since otherwise there is nearly no chance to get some and the distribution would be screwed

Sorry, I meant regarding exchanges, we'll have more details soon.

For public sale there will be a $5000 USD cap.

Cool concept and well-planned website that makes me understand the project with just one glance. Bookmarked to participate in the ico

Hey stasik201330,

Thanks for your interest. If you want to take part in the ICO you will need to register an account and submit your KYC before the cut off which is 25.01.18. Be careful not to miss this date. Smiley
I register 23 january already, i have a question, what is the induvidual cap? After ICO, when token release?
Thx in advance!

Max cap is 5000$, an Admin said on Telegram they will hit exchanges in Q2. We will get the tokens immediately after sending ETH via smart contract, they will not be locked.

Public sale max cap is $5000 USD that's right. We're aiming for Q2 but plan to be live with at least one exchange shortly after the Crowdsale. Tokens will arrive in your wallet after the Crowdsale finishes, but you will be able to see your tokens in your DADI Cloud account before then.

I apologize, then I misunderstood this point on your website: DADI tokens will be issued at the point of purchase during the Crowdsale at the specified DADI/ETH exchange rate.
I thought they will sent immediately.

Sorry for the confusion. Tokens are issued at the specific rate at the point of sale yes, but they aren't released until after the Crowdsale. Maybe we can tidy up the copy a bit. Thanks for the heads up!

Does anyone know what is the token price? What is the Exchange rate vs USD or ETH?

Thanks for an update.

Public sale price will be $0.50 USD / token.

I was really interested in dadi, but was put off by the claim that the whitepaper is copied off of another project. Or at least parts of it. Can anyone shed some light on this situation? Has there been a confirmation or infirmation?

We've address this many times, please see https://forum.dadi.tech/topic/85/what-s-the-deal-with-your-whitepaper-and-sonm

Interested in the project, would like to join but I can't get verified. I got refused because the image quality of my ID was too low. I have send both a scan of the ID (that was acepted e.g. on the exchanges) and a photo of ID (taken with an Iphone 7). Can you please explain what am I supposed to do. Thanks in advance.

Best thing to do is hop on Telegram and speak to someone about your KYC. You have to make sure that the proof of address that you provide is legible, which may be what the problem is here. Take as clear an image as you can (protip: use a light source so your camera uses a lower ISO ~ higher quality) and upload them to the KYC.

Missed the pre-sale because I signed the KYC too late, but I read a lot of people on twitter missed out and that the pre-sale was disorganized, don't know if it's true. I'm considering joining the crowdsale on the 29th.  Undecided

The feedback we've had is that the Presale was smooth and ran well. All services were working and online during the sale, and all staff were on hand to provide assistance and support across seven different communication channels. There were some folks who weren't registered for the Presale who couldn't take part and for whatever reason were unaware of this, but we've provided information on the Presale and how it works in numerous places and provided support on the day to everyone who needed it. I even wrote a quick overview to help people understand it: (https://forum.dadi.tech/topic/105/how-the-crowdsale-works-a-simple-explanation).

We're now pressing ahead for the Public sale which begins in just over five days. KYC submission is open until 25th January (tomorrow.)

If you have any questions please let me know and I'll do my best to answer them.

Can I send eth from an exchange and receive the tokens on my MEW address? Or will I have to send from my MEW address?

Do not send any Ether from your exchange wallet. Transfer it to MEW and use that.

This project looks good. Maybe i will participate to this. Wink

If you do, be sure to register and submit your KYC documents soon as submission is only open until 25th. It can take up to five days to process so the sooner the better.

Hi folks,

If you registered for the presale before the draw, you will have received an email with further instructions. If you don't remember registering, chances are you didn't.

For more information on the Presale, please see our update: https://medium.com/@daditech/dadi-presale-whitelist-lottery-draw-fb3242f625b8

Hope this makes things clearer.

So if we are verified via KYC we will be able to particpate tomorrow in the presale directly ? Or do we have to wait like some people are stating above?

I don't understand too. There is a whitelist for presale. There was a lottery, some people won. What about anothers?
There is the rule oh 2 hours and 6 hours during pre ico. I was not registered in lottery at all. I didn't apply for white list presale.  I just have verified account.
When i wiil be able to invest from 2 hours from the begining preico ( 14-00) or from 6 hours (18-00 utc) ?

Sorry if this is confusing. Please allow me to explain further. Smiley

The Presale begins 22.01.18 12:00 UTC. It begins with the initial phase, which lasts for 6 hours, during which time only the 500 winners of the lottery can participate. After 6 hours, at 22.01.18 18:00 UTC, the 1,393 participants of the lottery who didn't win are now able to participate as well.

The Public sale then begins 29.01.18 12:00 UTC, and everyone is able to participate.

KYC verification is required for everyone.

If you don't have an email saying you won the presale lottery, or an email saying you didn't win the presale lottery, then it's safe to assume you're not among the 1,893 presale participants.

I hope this clears things up but if you have any more questions please let me know!

Cheers

After my own research I definitely have my doubts on participating in the ICO of this project. Aside from the white paper copy to SONM,  XRB has denied any joint collaboration and they don't appear to have a functional product at hand. Too many strikes for me. I won't go as far to say that this coin is a scam, however i don't think they have been truly transparent with their investors. Best of luck to those that remain and do your own research

Hi Strike3urOut. Thanks for your post. I just wanted to add that we do have functional products, and you can find them on our GitHub: https://github.com/dadi. We have a full suite of web service products which are production ready and being used in production right now.

As is to be expected, though, the DADI Cloud network is still in development, which I think is fair to say is entirely normal for projects in this space. We're working hard on the network (read more about the testnet here: https://medium.com/@daditech/introducing-the-dadi-testnet-7ae381ba8653) but this requires resources as we've said, hence the crowdsale.

I understand your position but I really hope that we can change your mind later on down the line. Fingers crossed!

Thanks again for the post.

Hello, dev. While I was searching for usefull information about the DADI project, I have found the keen article writed by man who wants you to ask for some questions. https://cryptovest.com/reviews/dadi-ico-needs-to-answer-7-questions-before-they-get-my-money/
By the way I got registered here in order to get your opinion.
What do you say about it?

Thanks for your message buzzcry. Please see our response below.

> 1. Do they really have the tech chops to challenge the likes of Amazon & Microsoft?

Do we have the resources to replicate like for like what Amazon, Microsoft, Google, are offering today? No, of course we don’t. They have invested many millions of dollars and many years into their centralized infrastructure and I think very few - if any - organizations would have the resources to challenge this in a traditional setting.

Do we have the resources, skills and vision to disrupt the traditional market with a revolutionary new architecture – one that scales with existing hardware and doesn’t require incredible capital expenditure? We definitely believe so.

What we’re building is not intended to be a “meaty platform”, quite the opposite. We’re focusing on functional simplicity that scales. It’s a common myth that the better a system is, the more complex it must be. The more complex a system, the more problems you will have. The more complex a system is, the harder it will be to use and to maintain and to extend.

We have 12 engineers on our team (and we’re hiring more!). Between us we’ve worked for many big companies, across a diverse range of projects. Our combined experience and skillset bridges the majority of the required disciplines a project like this demands.

It’s also worth noting that we’re not pitching to VCs and we’re not planning an exit. We’re engaging with our community and embarking on this project together with them. Some of the team have worked together before, it’s true, and in fact all three of the founders have worked together before (and successfully exited their previous businesses). This is something we’re proud of: we have a great team and this is nothing to be shy about.

> 2. How come the numbers don’t add up?

In our business overview we set out that our directly addressable market – PaaS and SaaS – should exceed $100bn by 2020, and we provided a couple of scenarios to illustrate the potential for Miners through participation in the network. These are not financial projections or targets.

On the question of growth, it’s worth noting that for the past four years we have been focused on research & development, not on growing the business.

> 3. Why have they underestimated scaling?

This isn’t really right. If you assume that the only devices that will connect to and power the network are mobile, then yes, higher data rates are critical, but this is not the case. The network will be comprised of a diverse range of devices with a diverse range of connections. The concept of edge computing is to reduce the geographical as well as the topological distance between devices. The concept of Internet of Things (IoT) is a network of physical devices and embedded tech that connect and exchange data. These are two different concepts, though of course having better mobile networks will be a huge positive for everyone.

> 4. Why aren’t they showing us their crown jewels?

Simply because pricing for the network has not been locked in yet. We have examples from real-world use of the web services, which have been supplied. Pricing with existing businesses is Enterprise and custom per engagement. Pricing for the network will be released as we get nearer to launch.

> 5. Where’s the true crypto devotion?

We don’t really see how a wallet be beneficial to us at this stage. Our plans on this front focus on the provision of a bundled interface for purchasing web services. A wallet on its own contributes nothing to the ecosystem. Rather we’ve spent our time focused on the network itself, which is currently live as a testnet, and in production testing with a key customer.

> 6. Why ask for $29 million when $1 million will apparently do?

1m is enough for us to get the network live _at some point_. As covered elsewhere, to meet the breadth of ambition, depth of service, and pace of delivery in our roadmap (https://dadi.cloud/en/roadmap), we need to raise significantly more than that. The network is a big idea, and it needs the resources to match.

We’re engaging with our community and embarking on this project together with them. We believe in a decentralized and democratic internet owned & controlled by everyone, not just a select few. This is why we’re running the Crowdsale rather than pursuing traditional VC funding.

> 7. 300 years of combined networking and they can only find ONE advisor?

We obviously have the experience on the team to deliver a working testnet and the core set of web services for the platform (as both of these have been delivered Smiley ). Looking to the future, of course we don't have all of the answers in house – we will be hiring to increase capacity and to fill the gaps. We also have some good advisors around us (more on that soon), and are working with the industry to roll out a backbone to ensure network stability from the get go.

(As a side note, the advisor we have announced is not one of our suppliers, and he doesn’t have a master node.)

looks like a good project, but confused why do you require IDs verification to participate the ICO

This is a legal requirement, known as KYC or Know Your Customer.
may i have any ref for this legal entity?

You can find more information on our terms page https://dadi.cloud/en/crowdsale/terms

Thanks
