That's crazy, you guys managed to sell 75% of your tokens in just days, whilst other projects struggle to sell out their minimum cap in MONTHs.

This just goes to show the strength of the project, it really does look well positioned to sweep up all the stragglers that abandoned IDEX and Forkdelta.

LAST DAY OF MAIN SALE 1.  TIME TO BUY YOUR ESH BEFORE THE PRICE GOES UP IN MAIN SALE 2.

I'm surprised it hasn't already sold out already, I don't think people realize just how huge Ethershift is going to be.

It's competitors have been slowly getting wiped out, I can imagine a scenario where only Ethershift is left standing at the end.

So excited to see where this project goes.

Great news, you've thoroughly convinced me to get involved with that move, it's always great to see a project that looks after their supporters.

How comes you decided to split the airdrop into 12 segments though?

Ah,

Just checked through the coins and tokens available, seems you have quite a few solid projects, e.g. LatiumX and OriginTrail.

Do you obtain a store of tokens directly from the projects, since I noticed a few times you said certain tokens were out of stock?

Indeed, they do. I'm also a holder of LatiumX, OriginalTrail, ClearPoll. Smiley

Their whitepaper actually sums their system pretty well.

For liquidity, if they don’t have a token in stock they mimic orders on exchanges.

Also users assume they only have 1 wallet and if that wallet doesn’t have a token in it then they can’t fulfil the order. That isn't the case though.
They have 5+ wallets and they are able to fill nearly every order and refunds are only done if absolutely necessary.

Thanks for the info, glad to see they have a solution for liquidity issues, that's something smaller exchanges typically struggle with.

Nice article with McAfee by the way, hilarious  Grin

I've got this thread saved, I'll be checking on it regularly as the project looks to be just what I need.

This is pretty much crypto, you're always due to do your own research.

We've seen 'legit' projects such as Oyster Pearl going down the drain and projects that were assumed as scams turning out legit.

It's definitely becoming more difficult to know which projects are legit now. Since a lot of the time only the person at the very top knows about the impending scam, leaving the others to pick up the pieces.

Exchanges can't really be blamed for listing tokens that turn out to be scams, since most of the time it is practically impossible to know in advance as for all intents and purposes the projects are a success until the scam.

I agree! Our number one focus is making the user experience as clean and simple as possible.

We are pretty open towards listing any good ERC20 projects as long as they have a solid team, community etc. We typically charge 1-5k for listings depending on how far along the project is, and we take this fee in their token.

On our new website, that will be launched before the end of the year, there will be a form for new coins.

For now projects can email us.
Contact@ethershift.co

For now, do you have any minimum requirements for tokens to be accepted? e.g. minimum volume, fair tokenomics etc?

Pretty much just ascertaining how you filter scam projects during your application system, we don't want scam projects tarnishing the good name of the project.

This is something like ShapeShift exchange service? What different between your exchange and ShapeShift?
McAfee as advisor does not means good news. Nowdays everyone know this paid shiller and scammer...

Yes. We are similar to shapeshift (NO KYC) but right now only offer ERC20 tokens. We have a much larger selection than they do, and will be adding other chains later this year (btc, bch, ltc etc)

I knew John before I started Ethershift. He gets a bad rap for promoting coins but it’s no different than any other advertising network such as coin market cap, crypto news sites etc. No one has been “scammed”. All tokens are down 90%. The ones John didn’t promote and the ones he did.

Do you know whether you'll be incorporating any advanced trading features such as stop losses and other features later?

No. We have no accounts, no order book, and collect no personal information.

In the long run, simplicity is the best move, if you get too complicated people will accuse you of storing identifying information.

How do projects go about getting listed on your platform? Do you have an application process, if so, can you tell us more about it?

Yep, he was called a hero when all the coins are up, influencers tend to get the flack when the market goes down because they're the most accessible targets.

Strong project, glad to see that you won't be cowering to the KYC demands, after IDEX and Shapeshift folded it's nice to see projects standing up for the true vision of cryptocurrencies, privacy and decentralization.

I will be following this project with intense interest, I can already tell it's going to be huge.

I think highly of all Sciences so its hard to choose but I'd say Physics is probably hardest. But then again all of the sciences can be complicated once you get to the nitty gritty.

Re: What do you think will be the most important industry in the near future?
by
akosipepot
on 23/09/2018, 22:23:40 UTC
I think it's agriculture.
Global warming is affecting all parts of the world today.(ex: drought, Heavy snow and rain, reduction of sea ice, sea level rise, etc.)
There is still a shortage of food in Africa. I think it's going to get worse. That's why I think it's agriculture.
What do you think?

I do not think it will be agriculture simply because your argument is based in Global warming in which case agriculture on it self won't survive because the conditions won't be there. This is why I think the next big industries would be computing and genetics.

Re: The difference between science and religion
by
akosipepot
on 22/09/2018, 22:33:42 UTC
Clear, obvious difference. Science = fact + evidence. Religion = fantasy + stupidity, gullibility, desperation.

Now we just need to wait on BADecker showing up to tell you why you didn't mean what you said, and that you actually meant what he wants you to mean, because an online dictionary says so.

Frankly on this thread I have not seen much understanding either of the nature of science or religion. Although as you point out, the noise to signal ratio may be so high as to make it impossible.

I don't understand why we even question this, or better said why would anyone try to put science and religion in one pot; they just don't go together.
Religion is for the stupid, there is no such thing, it's all in your heads. However, science is real and provable; it cures people.

If If can really evolve to understand human perceptions as its often depicted in many movies then I'd say with that level of intelligence we may be pretty useless at controlling them - that's my opinion.
