The price of NEM is irrelevant right now. Supporting the movement, the devs and telling your friends and family about NEM is what is important in this period.

BYC is not primarily targeted at the current altcoin community. It is a slow process for people new to cryptocurrencies to hear about a new coin. But BYC is going about it a new way. Hundreds of downloads sites. There is already a quickening in the number of new miners. Difficulty is increasing more quickly. Once some of the new miners decide entering captcha every hour is not for them, they will look to buy BYC. Currenltly only way to buy is on Bittrex. Not easy for someone new to ctypto. The team is working on new ways to buy BYC directly. Just give it time. The foundation is there, the ideas are new and innovative. Just give it time. The masses outside this forum and crypto in general want there first experience with a cryptocurrency to be something easy to use, easy to buy, easy to mine. That is what BYC is trying to be.

Very few cryptocurrencies are long term bets. Certainly less than 50.

I know you're being sarcastic, but it actually is a good thing. It was the community's idea, not IE's. We wanted to vote for a group of around 10 people to be community leaders and we wanted a place for them to be able to discuss plans for promoting Bytecent together. That is the reason for a private forum. I know I won't be voted to be a part of the team, but that does not make me believe anything untoward is going on. I think people have heard something bad about IE in the past, most people probably don't even know what, but they love to knock people down even when they are trying to do something positive.

And I also get error 709 an account needs to be part of the network or something when I try to start harvesting. I have sent and received many time from the account. I can see the recent transactions right there.

Is there a bug switching between addresses within wallet? I think it is error 500 that comes up.

I have bought some of the IPO coins. I can see that the devs are passionate, they have done other coins before (whether successful or not, at least they have been there and presumably learned from their mistakes), and they are visible on the thread here. Thumbs up in my book.
