GOOD NEWS! Our petition was taken into consideration by the Secretariat of OPEC - Support Services Division.

registration number: 18-0614

Support Services Division
Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries
Helferstorferstrasse 17
A-1010
Vienna, Austria
______________________________________________________________________________

This is our petition:

"
Dear Secretary General of OPEC HE Abdalla Salem El-Badri, and representatives of the Member Countries !

We send you this letter for the purpose of careful consideration.

In today's world is increasingly taking place in the global market turmoil due to non viability of existing financial systems. Along with that, throughout history, the consumption of petroleum products is growing, and the GDP of many countries depends on the oil price.  But the strangest thing about this is that as a result, the budgets of Petroleum Exporting Countries is still directly dependent by the U.S. dollar, the issue of which is not controlled by your country. Likewise, any currency of another country can not be controlled by society, why convert your wealth to the paper?
Our proposal is to replace the instrument and translating the whole system for open electronic payments. Already, we have developed a personalized e-currency to pay for the exported oil - OPEC Coin.

This currency has all the positive characteristics:
1. Limited quantity - ext. emission is essentially impossible.
2. Absolute independence from the current situation on the global and local financial markets.
3. Security operations and asset protection.
4. Practically no costs to maintain system performance.

Sure that for you and for the people of this question is very important, so we are fully prepared to interact with you on the proposal!

Sincerely, the team of crypto-currency OPEC Coin.
"

Can you post the official receipt of this petition please? You do have the official receipt don't you? All petitions granted a hearing are given one.

Cheers

Re: [PRE-ANN] Millionaire Coin (MIL) - Poloniex IPO > Get in now!
by

on 08/06/2014, 06:53:25 UTC
We are in negotiation with some merchants who will accept MIL. Other than that we will always be introducing innovative features, that is why the IPO is there - TO DEVELOP MIL!

Really?? Can you say who? Since people are being requested to invest in an IPO, I'm sure they would love to know who you are in discussion with and what size these merchants are?

All I can say is WOW.!.!.!

Already sitting ready for sale on https://poloniex.com/exchange/btc_mil:

Sell Orders    Total: 114847.29989761 MIL

Price            MIL                   BTC
0.000565   114847.29989761   64.88872444

Looks like that's almost a full 11.48% of POW coins are already waiting to be sold from the outset.

Looks like the dev is planning to fly from day one. I'd imagine that only the dev and the Poloniex guy's could possibly have access to wallets on the exchange with coins to put in them.

This bird has flown!!

Re: (c ͡|Q ͜ʖ ͡o) [ANN][OPC] OPEC Coin X13 POW, 2%/ per month POS. Listed on BITTREX
by

This is going to be very interesting - OPEC coin

Im emailing my clients list on this one

Im on my way to bittrex...

I cant fathom how big this could get if the developer can pull This off

Imagine how the market will react once the word of OPC gets around.

If you quietly buy up now in no time i dont want to speculate but OPC could potentially
Go alot higher if its tooken very seriously.

50M supply cap

There will be a herd, along with panic buying which could cause the price to surge drastically

Bittrex + Poloniex + Mintpal + cryptsy = OPC 0.15

ONLY if the DEV can pull it off...

Do you (or anyone else) know the dev? What are his credentials?

As far as I can tell there's no plan at all... from the OP:

"We need comunity help in order to achieve our main goal:
1 OPC = 1 Barrel of Oil
Please post your thoughts here in this thread. There is a bounty of 5,000 OPC for the best strategy! Together we can do it!"

By the way, you give yourself away. I almost tooken you seriously.

I'd say his credentials are pretty low. He hasn't even put out a linux compilable source. I had to fuck around a fair bit to get it to compile and now it can't find any nodes even with the 2 addnodes in the conf file.

Re: [PRE-ANN][SYNC]X11 | POS| 1,000 Coins| |5 days mining only|Multi-Pool |
by
alcamie
on 17/05/2014, 15:27:42 UTC
Mark your calender you don't want to train for the journey of a lifetime....only 1,000 SYNC to be mined and you could be the next millionaire in this synclub by holding 1 SYNC

Specifications
Algorithm: X11
Total coins: 1,000
Proof of Stake Reward:  1% per year
Block Time:  60 seconds
Coin Maturity: 50 blocks
Min Coin Age: 6 hours
Coin Age Maturity: 30 days
Min Tx Fee: 0.00000001 SYNC
Premine: 0.5%

Block Rewards
0.14 SYNC
PoW: 7200 Blocks
THE ONLY COIN YOU'LL EVER NEED

Launch: Saturday 17 GMT 20:30

Hmmm.

block reward   block time   Premine = 0.5 %
0.14   60   5 coins

blocks till whole coin   time till whole coin   Time for total coins mined
7.1428571429           428.5714285714           428571.428571429   seconds
                                   7.1428571429           7142.8571428572   mins
                                                            119.0476190476   hours
                                                               4.9603174603   days

So if there's only a total of 1000 coins going to be in existence. How is POS going to be possible if all 1000 coin are mined within the 5 days?

Smells to high heaven of SCAM. Also how can you claim $10,000 per coin when coin365 is only ~$600 dollars and 42coin is ~$10,000. That would suggest a value more like $200 max if there was no premine. making that a max marketcap of $200,000 ever.

How do substantiate your claims?

What other coins have you developed?

And no hint as to what algorithm you will use?

If you read above it says:

Tech coin info:
Soundcoin is a fork of Litecoin with some different parameters (scrypt algorithm)

So I take it it would be scrypt.

by
alcamie
on 08/05/2014, 12:35:54 UTC
launched without notice....that's stupid

Prevents big miners from preparing their rigs and taking up a bunch of coins. Ninja launch is the only way to go. Wink

LETS SEE A MINING POOL UP DEVS! WHO WILL BE THE FIRST DREAMCOIN POOL??

What Defines A FlashCoin

A FlashCoin is an altcoin that isn’t announced prior the release. Coin ‘devs’ just post a thread at BitcoinTalk and instruct everyone to jump on board.

There’s no time for questions or analyzing the project… because it’s already underway. Mining pools instantly add the coins in hopes of making a meager (1% – 2%) fee on transactions conducted from it, even with lots of ‘red flags’ to indicate it’s not on the ‘up and up.’

The thing is about dreams is that you wake up from them and it's almost impossible to remember them  Huh

Cinni was posted without being announced, and the dev and big miners mined millions of cinnicoins.
So what?

I think Dreamcoin is the next big POS coin, just see the network hashrate.

Well it would help for starters to have code that allows you to compile a wallet from it. The qt source is broken for Linux wallet at least.

OUR FUNDRAISING EFFORTS ARE JUST GETTING GOING

Thank you to the generous benefactors who today sent a total of 1 BTC directly to CryptoWest, our acting senior developer.

CryptoWest has been amazing throughout this entire process, sleeping like a sailor in small shifts, crypto west executed coding and testing like a one man army. He did this of course along with the help of mindfox and the rest of our devteam. I encourage anyone else who prefers to send tips directly to CryptoWest to do so -he really is the hero of whitecoin in my opinion- and he deserves every satoshi this community can muster.

To donate directly to Crypto West:

Just stating the obvious, things are a mess but it seems like there is a team behind it working their ass off. All of this seems very fishy to me, though. Almost planned.

Haha, I've wondered the same thing.  If so, hats off.  If not, what a cool thing to happen.  Rather than fail, people rallied, and succeeded who may have never met in real life.

Community. Is. Everything. EVERYTHING E V E R Y T H I N G

i think my nearly 6 million whitecoins are likely gone for good, probably erased by retarded dope fiends. but i still have 600,000+ WC in mintpal so I am encouraged by how well this community is pulling together

Hey seattletu.
I volunteered to help with the recoding needed to get this straight. You know my love of the combined community of Crypto. I can tell you that there are alot more people/devs working in the background now to make absolutely sure that coins are going to be safe.
I'm surprised and proud of the fact that the amount of dev support that has been coming from numerous other coin devs that have no interest commercially in the coin.

It has restored my faith in Community. We are making sure that we have a fully secure and bullet proof wallet and platform to ensure the future of this coin.

Cheers

Hello,
Developer from Cryptographic Anomaly (CGA) here, as well as a moderator from the Poloniex exchange.
I have been working to implement, test, and then deploy the fixes necessary to bring WC back to primetime and get staking working. As it is, I believe I have all the necessary fixes done in my fork of the code tree (accessible here: https://github.com/tf2honeybadger/Whitecoin). However, I am getting very tired, and I am not confident in my abilities to continue to test and then deploy this new wallet without a full night's sleep and the help of the foundation.

The code in my fork of the code tree should be considered bleeding edge, and it is not suitable for production. It is your full responsibility to back up your wallet.dat before running it. It compiles, but I cannot promise that it will be able to sync up with another node because mine are off right now. This has changes suggested by cryptowest (create a new keypair for staking), and the changes proposed by the original, anonymous, Whitecoin developer (they can be found here: https://github.com/Whitecoiner/Whitecoin/pull/5).

I will continue to work on the WC wallet until the staking is confirmed to be working and Poloniex and Mintpal have resumed trading. After this happens, I will no longer be doing development work for WC. The Foundation is working to bring on new developers who know much more about PoS coin source than I do, and we will hopefully see this soon.

Many of you may be wondering why I chose to do this for another coin. I believe that coin developers need to help each other out more often. While community matters inside each altcoin, it also matters for the whole coin ecosystem. I hope that going forward, WC has two new goals in mind: Transparency in the foundation and in the development process, and rigorous testing of wallets before a widespread release. I hope that the foundation will help to make this happen. I have a very small stake in WC (~200 WC), so I really am doing this to help another coin out, not to save myself.

See you all in #whitecoinfoundation on freenode soon,
tf2honeybadger.

Hear Hear!!

Good work through the night my time honeybadger. Very good cross community support all round. What I saw from some from BC and other crypto's last night on the IRC has restored my faith in what Crypto is all about. All moving forward as one rather than trying to bring each other down.

Very good effort, well done!!

Love Italy.

I'll mine this if you can prove to everyone that you are an italian citizen.

How?

Hmm.. how about you go out and do some shopping. Find a Tigros marketplace. Buy... a box of Ferrero Rocher, make it a large one, and a bottle of Birra Morreti. Then scan the receipt and post it here. Make sure the date and time are clearly visible.
If you can't find a Tigros near you, you may go to Esselunga.

I believe this will be proof enough that you are at least living in Italy, if not an italian citizen.

Fair enough?
Sure Wink
And Birra Moretti not Morreti Tongue

indeed, sorry about that Smiley I always get the doubles wrong Tongue
Meanwhile i've only a PERONI (Italian beer)
And it's so cold!

Wow. It even looks like he's smoking Winstons which have an Italia warning label on it. http://joelgordon.photoshelter.com/image/I00005zES3oMgMOg
