Cryptocurrency is decentralized, this means that the government can't control or even shut down it. The only thing they can do is to prohibit crypto usage.

Re: Why is cold storage better than coinbase?

Not your keys, not your coins. If you use cold wallets, you can be sure that no one has an acces to your funds. Storing crypto on exchanges means that you don't really own your private keys. Even non-custodial mobile wallets, for example Guarda, Lumi or Ownr, are better alternatives to using exchanges as a crypto wallet.

What's about lowering fees on buying crypto from Ownr directly? Some of your customers are unable to use Bitfinex.

It seems that buying a car with Bitcoin is much easier than renting it with the same payment method.
There are 10 car companies accepting Bitcoin and only one rental company E-Z Rent A Car.

It seems to me that Bitfinex will never get the stolen money back. The hackers haven't been found for 4 years. It's almost impossible.

Old people are very skeptic to cryptocurrency and not ready to use it as a medium of exchange or store of wealth, otherwise younger ones demonstrate more interest. That's why the first stage of Bitcoin adoption should start with educating people about cryptocurrencies.

Bitcoin follow the history of gold is a strange suggestion. Bitcoin and gold have some common features like limited supply, but it's a mistake saying that the assets have the same path.

Because bitcoin makes our transaction more faster than you'll ever know.
Sometimes it takes hours or even day to get a transaction approved. For instance, MasterCard system can process 65,000 transactions per second, compared with 10-12 transactions per second for Bitcoin network.

I'm waiting for this moment too. Maybe one day national leaders will realize that Bitcoin can serve as a good store of value, unlike euros, dollars and yuan Bitcoin isn't controlled by a central authority. But I didn't get your point of view about halving.

What do you call 'high fees'? Coinbase, for example, charges 3.99% fees for card purchases. It isn't to high because Coinmama charges a 4.9%-5.9% fee on each purchase. Some users like LocalBitcoins.
