Bounty programs offer much higher rewards but require you to have a certain skill-set / knowledge and complete work for the coin dev.
An Airdrop will take much less time to complete, but usually has much lower rewards as they are sending free coins to hundreds / thousands of people.
So in the end it really depends how much work you want to put in.

The only way to avoid the dump would to either not be listed on an exchange (which would harm your coin), or to create a high quality coin that your users actually believe in and want to hold.
I believe in the past Airdrop could get you some easy free money.
At this time though with all these new scam coins popping up it has become 1 in 100 (or worse odds) chance of you receiving / being able to cash out your rewards without making a deposit (obviously a scam).

For store of value - I would personally choose Bitcoin.
But if we are speaking stricly in terms of usability a coin like Ethereum or USDT may be a better choice as they offer much cheaper fees and shorter confirmation times.
In the end it is really a personal decision.

What are your measures for the damage that mining has on the environment. and yes i'm talking about coin mining. the power usage of mining factories are through the roof (mostly cooling)
