its all about utility. markets dont give a sht of what was first. btc might evolve to store of value like e.g. gold, which does not necessarily mean it will be worth more in the end.
that is why its good to have a solid spread in your portfolio and keep on accumulating on the stash and adding promising new ones. everyone knows about disruptive technologies, so why should there be a difference in this space.

ETH will definitely pump hard once casper is released. sharding and staking will boost it a lot. right now many new tokens will consider switching to different pltforms that can run EVM, but the prospect of fixing the ETH bottleneck will keep them in place imo.
