Re: Why do people buy high and sell low
by

on 21/03/2018, 07:46:12 UTC
Due to the fact that people don't follow a simple rule: never invest what you can't afford to lose.
When people ignore this, they act emotionally in a bear market, and that's why more than 90% of traders lose money.

Re: 99% of the people still think that fiat money are better than crypto

If that's true, it means that only 1% or people in the world are aware of the potential of cryptos, and that means that you have a huge first move advantage.

It's a sign that you should be filling your bags.

Not necessarily, we have seen what happened to ripple. However, it is a fact that most of the coins with 10 to 100x return come from low caps.

No, because there is simply no transparency in the way these tokens are distributed.

Not much would change. Governments can create as many regulations as they want, but they can not enforce it when there is no way for them to control the rules of the protocol.

Re: Why Are Indian Bitcoin Prices Higher Than International Prices?

...and I forgot to add that they have one of the most unstable currencies in the world. It makes sense if people are flipping to Bitcoin.

that doesn't make any sense at all! usability of a currency is defined within the boarders of the country not globally. of course being able to use it globally is a perk but "citizens" don't care as long as they can pay for their daily needs with their currency at hand!

and i assure you there are a lot of other currencies such as USD and EUR before they "flip for bitcoin".

this higher price and huge volume only shows that Indian know the real value and the potential of bitcoin.
The point is, Bitcoin is also a good hedge against USD and EUR, from a long term perspective.

Buying Bitcoin is also much simpler for a lot of people. If you buy your Bitcoins through localbitcoins, for example, you can avoid a lot of regulations.

Also, Bitcoin is unseizable.

1. Technology. It needs to be something better than what already exists, and useful in real life.
2. Team. A good team of developers, with deep knowledge of technology, and willing to make things happen.
2. Distribution. The wider the distribution, the more decentralized the currency is, and the lower the risk of market manipulation.

This seems to be the year to hold Bitcoin. Bitcoin recently received one of the best protocol improvements ever, and I think the community is just beginning to feel the effects of it.

I can't wait to see LN and other great features.

I used MinerGate before and was never able to withdraw the coins I mined. Complete scam.
Good to know. As I said, I only heard of it, but never tested it.

Thanks for warning

I heard there is a mining software called MinerGate, which not only mine, but also calculates the mining profitability for each cryptocurrency.

Perhaps because Bitcoin is scarce in the exchanges of that country. They also have a huge population, which generates great demand for Bitcoin.

First-movers are often more likely to succeed, but there is room for innovation too. The later coins that are not much different from Bitcoin are certainly not likely to get much of the market share.
Innovation is always a good thing, but it's not any kind of innovation that will make a coin survive in the long run, it needs to have something that could not be implemented in Bitcoin itself.

For some of them yes, probabilistic calculations will make all the difference. Blackjack is one of them

For others, it may not help you that much, like dice games.

Decentralization is great for cryptocurrencies, but not for most other things we have in our society. Imagine if we had companies like Apple and Microsoft without leadership. It would be a disaster, and we would not have today the products and services they brought to us.
Now, do not confuse private leadership with state leadership.

Re: What are the factors that affect the rise and fall of the BTC?

Supply and demand, or course, which are driven by three categories of people. People who buy Bitcoin to speculate (mostly traders), people who buy it to use it, and people who buy Bitcoin to hold.

I think that, at the current state, we have more traders and holders, but not so many people using it for the daily needs.

it will only go up. She bought at $4200 Sad
How soon can we REALISTICALLY see $4200 again and upwards?
Besides not being the safest time to buy, you should advise her based on extensive research, not on what other people say. But if she can hold the coins for the long term, let's say... two to three years, I don't think you should worry too much about it.

People will always find a way to invest in these things. There are already projects in which not only investors, but also developers are anonymous.

Probably. It's already 70% rise in the last seven days... and I don't see enough good news to justify this happened organically.
