Everybody can make predictions on everything, including btc. It's the degree of accuracy that counts. I've been predicting $400-$600 range all along. Learn that.
Typically the sentiments that markets are controlled by unforeseen forces or are entirely unpredictable are held by those that have been unsuccessful.
I'd say there's definitely a parallel between ancient civilizations attributing every plague to 'god didit' and poor traders attributing their problems to 'whales didit'
Its a cop-out answer to a problem they're unable to solve. We have a great tutorial on the site and even with a limited understanding of TA most people can become successful traders in cryptocurrency markets.

Think I've understood this and generally agree with it, but some clarification would be good as I think a couple of points were a bit confused.
We've already hit $420, which is the support you say was established a few months back. However you seem to be anticipating a further retracement to this level (and below), since this is your target buy price.
What does it mean that the $420 mark was so significantly breached, albeit for a short time? And the fact that your buy target is some way beneath it?
Just seems like there's some loose ends to tie up there.

I'd expect minor capitulations to the 420 range on the way up, 420 would be my great entry target 450-460 would be a more risky but far more likely target. I always say don't take a trade you don't love. I'd rather miss an opportunity than take an overtly risky entry.

I almost wish I was on Gox to triple my money in a day, but I was around in November to 10x my money in a month.
You win some you lose some, don't blame the market for acting in a way you think isn't logical, it's a natural system and like anything else in nature you don't get to tell it what to do. Try and it will chew you the fuck up and spit you out.
The lovely thing about the kind of ambiguous fortune telling Max does is if he's wrong he'll write it off to 'so-and-so catalyst changed things, no way to see it coming', if he happens to be write than he'll be happy to take the credit.

IMO this forum is equally divided with people who either
a) have a "to the moon" mentality and just want the value to skyrocket ASAP
b) want the value to crash so that they can buy more "cheap coins"
c) haters who are disgruntled that they feel that they missed the boat on becoming an instant millionaire, so they want the value to plummet so that it is painful to the early adopters
d) want slow sustainable growth
e) have a total of 0.25 btc or less to their name, but still cry that the sky is falling when they see btc value go down $25 or more
... among which Ds are the most delusional and probably think BTC can actually function as a currency in the long term.a) have a "to the moon" mentality and just want the value to skyrocket ASAP
b) want the value to crash so that they can buy more "cheap coins"

A few weeks down the road I have a slight bullish outlook, I think the supports at 500 will end up holding and after the market tests them we will see a cautious rise.

Ya know what. I really don't think this.
No TA, and no otherwise rational analysis.
I just believe we are heading much lower than $500 and even $400.
Maybe, I have to reiterate though I'm trying to give a traders perspective. When I say I'm 'bullish' I don't at all mean the next few months are going to be great and bitcoin will continue its rise to infinity.
All I mean is pending the movement I think will happen in the next 2 to 3 weeks the market will see a short period of recovery for maybe a week or two.
But this far off I can't really give any strongly founded analysis, so its understandable if you disagree.
