Heh...

American Express was very interested in the coindesk article on alpha tech

better start considering them refunds alpha

here is the link for use with your own disputes with cc companies or whatever

http://www.coindesk.com/alpha-technology-blames-paypal-dispute-bitcoin-asic-delivery-delay/

thanks to whoever flag'd down www.coindesk.com on this

Searing

a well written and informational piece, with logic and proper investigation and wording.
All the trolls here can take a lesson from it

After speaking to paypal yesterday the advisor quoted that they are not with holding funds
from alpha technology. So i do not understand why alpha tech would say this.

lol, sorry sucker, if you actually sent them funds after all the warnings you deserve to get ripped off. This was a giant scam from the start.

You were right, now alpha T threatening people with losing their order place if they don't pay within 10 days.
And then the big lie from the managing director of alpha tech stating the shipments are late because paypal is with holding funds

Spoke to paypal today and they said it isn't true

Yea, i've been watching this thread but seems the MoonAsics guy hasn't bothered responding to anything anymore...

That and given the OUTSTANDING efficiency of this from a brand new company - I'd have to conclude scam as well. Plus they only take BTC, so no refunds.

the thing i don't understand is they promise this massive efficiency and cant back it up with any drawings.

amazing how his update is the same speed as the opensource ver and came out right after

You could be a bit clever and check time of posts:
- My post about v12.0: July 14, 2014, 07:59:19 AM
- Latest opensource came out: July 14, 2014, 01:28:00 PM

So I have time-machine.
Anyway, I'm not going to feed trolls so I will ignore such things in this thread.

must be a broke time machine cause his 7.1 came out July 13, 2014, 09:44:56 AM plus we cant see your code but u can always be on his git page ready to up 1 every time which would be okay if u were opensource

LOL MXCNOW MOD biggest trolls out. And calling people retard in this day and age show how stupid you are.

BFL are good people, their name should not be mixed with AT. I love BFL, have many of their hardware.

Well atleast bfl labs gave me a refund i must give them that

When it came to getting a refund from alpha tech after 3 months i only got 132 gbp out of 1635 gbp
and they said i would get a 75% refund - 70 gbp admin fee

But now they are playing dumb and i lost money ( my own fault i guess )

Other then laywers getting involved i guess they still have to deliver miners this month or feel the fanboy wrath

SCAM all the way. But i hope others get the miners

ozziecoin had a mention on 6pr fairfax radio today, i think they were going to give away coins to new people.
But they did promote the free 500 coins for signing up.

For a station that never really liked bitcoin, it was good to see their tech guru segment pushing a good crypto

Hey guys

We have some miners on our MTX pool but it's taking resources that could be used for other coins. I'm going to have to shut down the pool unless there's some kind of activity around this coin. Will give it a day and see if anything happens. If not, will have to turn stratum off tomorrow.

Thanks

Good idea i been mining hard for a couple of days on your beautiful pool while the dev seems to push out a new coin and leave matrixcoin to die

We are past block 600 and the diff change has taken effect, we now recalculate diff after every block, so block times should start to be more consistent.

Block 1000 coming soon!

Re: [ANN][X11] X11/Darkcoin Gpu Miner 40% faster than sph-sgminer
by

Hi guys

sling00 from the pimp team here.

If you want to run this miner on pimp, here is how to do it:

1. use the 64 bit ubuntu build of the miner download it from page 1 of this thread: direct wget link below.

cd ~
wget https://www.dropbox.com/sh/zhfbr8xh6zw0gi0/AAB3vMZ5JQac9tvNbaI6-5pSa/x11-sgminer-linux-64bit-build1.tgz
tar xvf x11-sgminer-linux-64bit-build1.tgz

2. nano /etc/apt/sources.list

it should have the following line:

# firmware
#deb http://debian.cc.lehigh.edu/debian/ jessie main contrib non-free

uncomment so it looks like this:

# firmware
deb http://debian.cc.lehigh.edu/debian/ jessie main contrib non-free

save the file.  ctrl+x and enter y to save
apt-get update

sudo apt-get -t testing install libc6-dev

once done, the miner will be able to run

then, recomment the line in /etc/apt/sources.list
nano /etc/apt/sources.list
# firmware
#deb http://debian.cc.lehigh.edu/debian/ jessie main contrib non-free

DONT FORGET TO COMMENT THIS BACK OR YOU WILL BREAK YOUR SYSTEM ON apt-get upgrade!

Add the following line to /opt/ifmi/poolmanager.conf, indentation and spacing are very important or you will break poolmanager!
Note: make sure to set the mpath correctly to where you put the sgminer binary!

  9:
    mconfig: X11-Opt
    mopts: --api-listen
    mpath: /root/x11-sgminer-linux-64bit-build1/sgminer
    savepath: /opt/ifmi/cgminer.x11opt.conf

create the /opt/ifmi/cgminer.x11opt.conf from cgminer.x11.conf (cgminer.darkcoin.conf on pre 1.4.2 releases)
cp /opt/ifmi/cgminer.x11.conf /opt/ifmi/cgminer.x11opt.conf

remove or edit the following lines
Remove all pools but one, make sure your syntax is correct and it has no , after its } close bracket
"kernel" : "darkcoin", <- REMOVE no kernel line used with this miner
"thread-concurrency" : "x", <- SET TO 0 or test at your own risk, your old value likely WILL NOT WORK
"gpu-threads" : "1," <- set to 1 or test at your own risk.

CHANGE the worksize line for most cards (this works better on pretty much ALL my cards except the 280x).

"worksize" : "128",
Please stop in #pimp on freenode if you have any questions as i DO NOT check these forums regularly.

Hello

Your miner looks nice can you make one for windows like this please?

Re: Claymore XPM GPU Miner discussion
by
alphawolf099
on 11/05/2014, 07:21:45 UTC
Claymore, is there something to be hidden in the Data.bin in v8 of your miner? Your v7 and below has always been using k.dat, which is the compiled OpenCL binary. OpenCL binary is an ELF format file (you can see ELF in the strings if you try to open it). v7 and below, your OpenCL binary is not encrypted but in v8, it seems to be. Was it because you are using madmax - eXtremal's code?

If you are, that's fine so long as you give credits to these great ppl. It is unethical if you are using theirs and taking dev fee for yourself not giving credit.

I had a lot of miner versions before opensource miners and speed of my miner always was comparable with best miners. v9 will have more speed than v8. v10 will be faster than v9. And you always can say that I steal some ideas from somebody, I won't be able to prove anything since my miner is not opensource and I'm not going to do it. But also somebody (who knows a lot about ELF files for example) can steal my ideas so I decided to protect both EXE and OpenCL code. I'm not going to discuss it anymore.
I do give credits to all opensource miners - we have a lot of miners now and you can select the best miner for you.

If you won't release the source why is it safe to use? why won't you release it? another ypool coin hoard by the looks of it

It is only fair to release the code ( i know ypool devs do not release code because of greed ) but do the community a favor

Please be calm and patient, rather than the hectic whirlpool of the alt-world we prefer to produce solid work, so excuse us while we provide you with a lasting REAL solution. We have investors and supporters to worry about, who you'll note...are patiently waiting. This is not an alt-coin it is an equity-linked crypto-currency, we have to ensure that all changes are secure and understand the effect they will have on our investors and supporters.

would you like 1 day fixes everyday or a single lasting one for long periods of time?

Thnks all. Please wait it out, we are here.
