every time you put your sell order remember this

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=818722.0

I honestly wonder where NEM will be 6 months from now. What we'll say and think looking back. For a coin that's only launching, NEM does seem very different compared to what people are used to in the altcoin world.

Just look at what NXT achieved with so few stakeholders. NEM will be like NXT on crack, I really think there will be NEM ATM's, NEM <-> FIAT exchanges, NEM multipools and more appearing very soon after launch.

If any of you ever wonder what we are working towards, it's this: to make the lives of ordinary people better.

I just had my credit card number stolen and had to call the card company to get the current card cancelled and to get a new number. Now I don't have a credit card for a week or two and I will probably get fined by the phone company when they have trouble billing me  Cry

If NEM were the default currency of the world, the scammers would have only had my public key. Every time you use a credit card, it is the same as sharing your private key with someone. It's an insane system.

Let's hope NEM can help create a new world economy that isn't based on madness.

By the same token, you better not let your NEM wallet stolen, lest you will also be crippled terribly and indefinitely. Wink

Edit: BTW, 2 weeks is a long long time when it should be one or two days for replacement. Is it that inefficient in Japan?

That calls for a rule-based NEMcard solution with NFC. NEMPay!

Do you think the NEM wallet can be interfaced with a fingerprint sensor to unlock our account?  https://technology.ihs.com/512273/fingerprint-sensors-handsets-tablets-report-2014

Yes. it is not hard if fingerprint is an available option in the device.

Cool. Thanks

Can't wait for the launch of NEM! Can't wait to have a fingerprint secure hardware USB wallet to store my NEM in too...

Re: New gold-backed cryptocurrency INNcoin allows you to mine gold for free
by

will this coin ever be traded somewhere?  Roll Eyes

Traded to Anthem for gold stored in their vault.  Small-scale test, but great to have a coin backed by something of real value.  I am getting close to enough to trade in my INN for a gram of gold.    Grin

and what is the current price in INNcoins?

can you provide a link?

Have you read the first page of this thread?  Here is what my steps were thus far:  I read what was here to know what was going on, opened a free account with Anthem Vault which allows you to get the INNcoin wallet and started mining.  After mining for a while, I asked the company for clarification about trading in the coins.  After you mine 100,000 INN you trade them in for a gram of gold.  The value of your INN depends on the current price of a gram of gold.  I hope that helps..

If this is legit, it's pretty cool. Not sure why the guy would make his full name and company info public if it was a scam. I think this might be one to watch.

Re: [ANN][CCN] - Cannacoin - CannaPay - Cannabis Community Network - CannaShares!

this weekend is all about weed! i can see this going to 50k not even lying lol

i think ur on the wrong coin?
Cann coin ( cannabis coin ) is starting this weekend because monday it will be accepted in the stores for buy weed at 1 coin for 1 gram.

Price is over 3000% in the last 2-3 weeks.

this is the current stats at coinmarketcap i copy 1 min ago:
13    CannabisCoin CannabisCoin    $ 4,731,533    $ 0.051387    92,076,285 CANN    $ 294,346    27.62 %

I think this coin will easily hit 50k... Possibly even 250k.
It might not be this week, but within a year... maybe... I'm definitely holding long-term.

It would've been great to pick up a few more while the price was below 2K but I'm still buying at this price.

If public sentiment & laws regarding Medical Marijuana, Decriminalization, & Hemp continue to change as they have over the last 5 years, then the next couple of years look very  promising. CannaPay could quite easily become 'the way to pay' cannabis related merchants online & instore.

rule 1. never fall in love with a altcoin
rule 2. never hold a altcoin long term

When you break one of this rules, you will lose all your money.

Yep, definitely happened to long term holders of Bitcoin, Litecoin, Peercoin, Ripple.... Oh, hold on a second  Roll Eyes

Anyone who cares to listen to this Travis character, please educate yourself.

He has don't nothing but FUD on coins since he registered. Clearly this child has not taken his medication.

For anyone with real concerns and questions. I'm here, all day, every day, on the threads and IRC, so if you have questions email me, PM me here, or catch me on the IRC, I'm more than happy to answer any questions you have.

How does the arb bot in the wallet work? Are people making profits? Can you trade an unlimited number of currency pair? Genuinely interested to learn more about it from you the dev - and also want to hear if anyone else has used it and their experience with it.
It's not in the wallet, its a separate application. I don't believe in cluttering wallets with useless functions. You can trade one coin, on whichever exchanges have that coin. But you need to hold .5 BTC worth of GNS at whatever the current rate is to use those functions in the bot. Arb is not working now, the application is still in beta stages but will be more advanced as time goes on. Bittrex and Bter are built in, so you can place manual trades on those exchanges.

Cool sounds interesting... when will it be live? Any plans to allow multiple currency pairs? That is where the real profits lie for the end user (to be able to arb for example 10 currency pairs at once).

It has been mentioned and will probably be implemented in the far future after everything else.

Looking forward to seeing the arb bot in action so I can test it out.

When you listen to Andreas Antonopolis in front of the Canadian committee and how this senators react to his answers, you pretty much see that the game has already changed in favor to Bitcoin, at least in Canada.
So, New York or even USA regulate how much you ever want. You will be left behind anyways, when you do so.

Exactly. The technology will survive and thrive and those that don't embrace it will be left behind.

Re: Bitcoin will be bigger than Facebook
by

I think comparing bitcoin to facebook is kind of like comparing apples to oranges. Bitcoin is a P2P "currency" while Facebook is a social network. The uses of the two platforms are just too different

The uses are different but the potential repercussions in terms of technological, economic (Bitcoin more than Facebook on this point) and social change are similar.
