anyone else never receive coins from this pool http://ghc.longwall.io
mined there for atleast 10 hours with 900 ghz and never received a single coin

Confirmations take around 12 hours for this coin. Which means we'll all be receiving payouts for half a day after we stop mining it...  Undecided

Good day people

I mined http://ghc.minerpools.com/ pool yesterday started around 17.30. I mined quite heavy and rented rigs for a brief period and a couple for 12 hours plus.

Was in a rush so i didn't set up my withdrawal address.. Came home.. tried to sign in and was told:

'Unable to login: Account locked. Please Check your Email for instructions to unlock.'

Possible i entered wrong password twice but no more than twice.

I have checked my emails and junk etc. I haven't received an email regarding unlocking the account.

My mining name on ghc.minerpools.com is the same as my btc talk profile name. You can see i set up this profile in early August so i clearly am sambobsquare.

Enjoyed my second mining experience but really want the 3 hours back as they where my heaviest in hash.

Sorry my first post on here wasn't more positive though I have to say otherwise the pool has run well since. Thus I am hopeful of a good response.

Sam

I've mostly given up on MPOS pools. Such a hassle with all the registration and worker setup. The only real benefit you get is that you can see your stats and how many coins you've earned, etc, but the estimates are always waaaaay off and the pools tend to be hacking targets since the wallets generally hold a lot of coins. Not to mention I hate having to set up a bunch of workers and keep track of passwords and payout PINs and then hope the pool doesn't disappear or lock me out, like you are experiencing.

So I look for NOMP pools when I want to mine a coin. Been mining at http://ghc.bitops.me since dude posted it last night (above). So far it's been stable, but doesn't have as much hash as the bigger pools. Can't beat that low fee though. I only have a couple antminers, though, so we'll see if I even mine any substantial amount of this (apparently controversial) coin.

By the way, I think this is a cool concept. Bryce/Blocktech take a lot of shit (some of it arguably well deserved), but they're out there trying new things and I think that's ultimately good for crypto in general. It's at least far more interesting than 95% of the shit/scam coins that are launched on a daily basis, IMO.

I want to revive this bitch. Dev, give me the keys to the castle and I'll bring the network back up and see if we can bring the bag holders out to sync their wallets. Then you can give me half your instamined stash and we'll get it listed on some shitcoin exchange, add some pointless gimmicky feature like IRC or Bittrex in an iframe, then dole it out to any and all takers.

Wait, what the fuck is wrong with me? The last thing the world needs is another useless shit coin. Unless you agree @BTCArchitect - https://twitter.com/BTCarchitect/status/509469569111425024

haha community takeover version of a pre-mine dump.

101730 Dump.

Wowzer....

You realize volume include all trades, right? While that was certainly a nasty dump, the total volume during that reporting period does not mean someone dumped that exact number of coins. Other trades are included in that number.

In any case, crypto markets sure are wild. Let's see what these guys can do and what the market thinks. Money speaks louder than words in this world. I'm not too surprised that it's already recovering pretty well, despite the violence of that flash dump.

Good luck with this challenge, devs, and keep up the hard work. I'm going to keep an eye on this one, especially considering the team behind it now.

Seems to be pretty inactive, but hey, the network is still running!

Despite the fact that this coin certainly appears to be dying a slow and somewhat agonizing death, I still am a fan of the concept in general. I did play the alpha version of the game, and it pretty much didn't do shit, was full of bugs, and eventually crashed.

That said, I brought up a dedicated node to help keep the network alive.

Dev, you can update OP with the node if you want: svr.bitops.me

Also, here's a list of working nodes, for anyone who needs addnode lines in their config file:

addnode=svr.bitops.me
addnode=95.85.38.252
addnode=162.243.206.226
addnode=37.59.19.89
addnode=107.6.122.154
addnode=108.163.232.221

Hope this game becomes playable some day. And if not, oh well it's been a fun ride. I like supporting random projects like this that look interesting.

Cheers, Survivors!

Anyone got any active nodes?

Not sure why you'd even want to be part of this network, but I did fire up my wallet just now and it's syncing. Here's some nodes:

94.158.152.169
95.85.46.230

Considering the dev seems to have disappeared and the coin isn't listed on any exchanges that I'm aware of (it was just removed from c-cex this week), I don't really know what you'll do with any coins you have... If you wanna buy an approximate metric fuckstash from me at rock bottom prices, hit me with a PM - I wound up with way too much of this particular shitcoin by mining early. Surely I'm not alone on that one Smiley

Re: [PRE-ANN] EXCL Exclusive Coin - Sr Member, Commodity Backedup, ICO,Escrow
by

I don't pipe up much around here, but do want to add my assessment of this ANN real quick...

Basically, dev has a handful of old-ass mostly worthless mining gear he wants to sell, but instead of selling it directly on CL or ebay or whatever, he'd like to pre-sell it to "investors" via this ICO, then slowly dole out the proceeds of the actual sales of physical goods via EXCL?

Not specifically wanting to torpedo this ship before it sets sail, but maybe we can get some more detailed info on exactly how the proposed marketplace will work? And what real-world problem EXCL is solving? The OP mentions people somehow being able to buy physical goods at steep discounts... but I'm pretty concerned about the goods pictured at http://instagram.com/kingsbtc since just about every last item there costs more to operate than it will earn the owner, unless the owner/operator has free electricity + infrastructure available.

Or maybe I'm missing the bigger picture. If so, flame on or perhaps maybe help me understand what I'm missing...

What's going on here? Has anybody tried it yet?

Yeah I gave it a try. Couldn't really figure out wtf I'm supposed to do. I realize it's just an alpha release, but damn there are a lot of bugs.

DEVS: Here are some *bare minimum* things we need, as users/players of the game:

  • Instruction guide. Like, how to play the game
  • Details on how the game integrates with the SVR blockchain. Are we supposed to be able to use our actual SVR wallet to buy stuff in the game? Maybe I need to re-read the whitepaper
  • I think you need some help with the in-game language. Nearly everything reads like it was written by a non-English speaker, which isn't really a big deal, but it detracts from the overall quality

I'm kinda surprised people are even concerned with the current market value of SVR. If you just want to trade coins, there are 600 other shitcoins you can do that with. Let's focus on the game and how it actually ties into the SVR blockchain.

I'm still VERY interested in this project. I love the idea of playing a game that is directly tied to a crypto currency and my wallet.

Would it be possible to have an email list for updates? It would be nice to receive updates via email instead of having to check this thread all the time.

Thanks and keep up the good work!

Going to hit bittrex soon...

password wallet ?

From http://limi.vctalk.net/ ... the password is:

LimiCoin-Source-Code-v1.1.0.1-Build-14-08-04

Now let's see what this coin does on the open market. So far everyone just wants to dump it at 100x the current price. Maybe try to be a little more realistic. As far as I can tell this coin is basically an experiment for a controlled launch that attempts to mitigate the instamine effect that seems to be the goal of all these flash-POW shitcoins. I'm actually curious, and I mined my fair share, but I'm not expecting this thing to create a ton of wealth overnight.

1.5 million of Ivory were mined. Am I Right?

what is everyone doing with them? I have some. Where is everyone? Who has the coins and where are they? lol

speak up if you have some Ivory!

I assume the dev instamined the vast majority of it and is simply waiting/hoping it gets listed somewhere so he can dump quickly. I mined a handful with a couple of my GPU rigs and am staking it, because, why not?

In the meantime, the IVC twitter account followed me last night. I'm still not sure if this is a total joke or just your run-of-the-mill shitcoin...

This. Is. Genius.

Aside from it being a RZR clone with a few numbers changed. But then RZR is a NTR clone fork, and that was a fork from something else, etc etc all the way back to Satoshi. So, whatever.

I'm fucking mining this awesomeness. At least long enough to get my hands on some sweet, sweet RSN. Not interested in trading, just want to have some.

Been keeping an eye on this thread for a couple weeks now. I think it's an excellent idea, but the "whitepaper" is pretty short on details.

Can you give us an idea of how far along the development work is at this point?

Do you have a development plan in place yet?

Will there be a public code repository where we can keep up with progress and perhaps contribute to the development effort?

When Bittrex announced they would be de-listing SVR, I bought a fair a bit at market prices and added some buy support, and also threw some of my X11 hash power at the network. Generating volume and showing interest in the project with BTC & hashes seems to have saved the market from de-listing at Bittrex. I know I am not the only person who helped in this way - other traders also made purchases around the same time, and the nethash has risen slightly over the past few days.

I know this is a lot of questions, but I have one more:

Is there an IRC channel where the dev team hangs out? I'd like to get involved one way or another (and I'm not a coin developer), even if it's just hanging around and being part of the chat group. If you aren't already maintaining a presence on IRC, I recommend setting up shop at irc.altcoinweb.com Smiley

I'd like to try and revive this coin as an experiment. Does anyone have a working peers.dat or at least a copy (complete or not) of the block chain? I don't know much about bringing dead coins back to life but I think it would be a fun experiment to try and get the network working again.

Let me know if you want to get involved with this and we'll start working out a plan. I know enough coin devs to get the info we need to give it a shot.

Re: Is GPU power the single most important factor in mining for BTC?
by
altminerd
on 31/12/2013, 21:40:22 UTC
If you want to mine with GPU, its better chose to mine some scrypt coins, because you wouldn't get any money mining BTC with GPU.

And yes, the GPU is the most important factor, however there are some minimal requirements as well, which depends on how many cards you want to run.
Make sure you have enough PCI-e slot on your MB, and for a 4card setup you would need 4GB of RAM as well under ubuntu.
Don't be cheap on PSU.

Nonsense, you don't need more than 1GB of ram to run a linux miner. I have one rig with 2GB, and two with 1GB and they all hash wonderfully fast. What really matters for scrypt mining is GPU ram.

I know I'm being lazy here but please save me from searching through hundreds of threads.

Is there a typical pattern for price fluctuations with new coins, or does each new coin behave differently (price wise)?

You kind of have to do the research for yourself. From what I have seen the early market action on coins with very high circulation tends to follow a general pattern, but each one is a bit different, and they seem to be normalizing/becoming less spiky as more and more coins are released and hit the markets.
