I’ve had a full unit since august and it’s worked great without any issues. Recently I got a standard unit (batch 3) to connect to my full unit. I can get the standard unit mining for about 10 minutes and then it goes to inactive status. Then I have to power it off and on then restart mining to get it to start again. But it only will mine for a few minutes again before going inactive. The full unit continues mining without any issues. The red light on the standard unit has the slow red blinking light like it’s mining but it’s showing inactive in the dashboard. I’m running apollo web v0.3.2

Any ideas what the problem could be?

Hmm, yeah I've been having the same exact problem for a while. I was hoping this most recent update would fix it, but looks like I'm still having the same issue. I have 1 full unit and 2 standard units, for some reason all 3 of them wont stay hashing at the same time and one of them will drop off after a while. It's always just one that drops off and they all keep blinking the slow pattern.

Do the yellow lights on the bottom continue to flash? The mean the board is still hashing but something is up with the USB connection. You can also try connecting the standard units to a USB hub and trying different USB ports. If a power reset/SD card re-flash does not solve it with latest firmware you can alway contact support and well take care of you.
I experienced the same issue, except that my standard unit doesn't go active at all anymore. Solid red light, no blinking yellow underneath, while connected via USB. Full unit will continue hashing as normal. Sent an email through the contact form on the futurebit site.

Hello guys, just wanted to give an update on something that should have been pretty obvious, but my standard unit that was having difficulty staying on is now running smoothly again. I had actually not been doing much maintenance and went and cleared out A LOT of dust that had managed to accumulate inside the devices. After doing that, it seemed like the unit that was having difficulty hashing continuously started working well again. I think it's been stable for a little over a week now which is a huge improvement.

Just wanted to toss that out there for people having problems with their miners that might be confused as what to do, again something that should have been obvious but I'm sure I'm not the only person who forgets to dust regularly. It may just be that instead of anything wrong with the device or the firmware.

Thanks for the update! Finally all 3 of my units are hashing together now lol, will post an update in a few days if any stability issues arise after the update

You guys should know about software releases that are due next week by now  Grin

Updated Binaries for Standard Unit users are below:

https://github.com/jstefanop/Apollo-Miner-Binaries/releases/tag/1.1

This release has a lot of bug fixes and resolves the issue people with unstable internet connections were having. These should now be super stable and run for weeks/months.

32 Bit Arm support was also added, if you want to run these on your raspberry pi make sure you updated to the latest Rasbian system release (otherwise you'll need to update libstdc++6 to latest version if your running an older version and don't want to upgrade).

Same updated binaries will be pushed to Apollo Full Node users with the next software update due "next week"...seriously though we are wrapping up some UI testing for the next release and should have it out soon.

Not sure why things are getting heated, all I know is I'm excited for this update to roll out to my full node! It'll be a great boon to have increased stability!

I see many people have the same issue of one or all of their miners stopping when internet connection is lost.
There is nothing worse than looking at all the blocks you have missed.

I have a problem between midnight and 4AM (AEST) when my internet provider rotates/changes my IP; my IP is dynamic not static.
There is a brief loss of internet connection during this period.
I have 2 x Apollo LTC and 3 x Apollo BTC.

For 3 months I swapped the LTC node from one Apollo LTC to another on a weekly basis only to wake up and find only the one unit running the node had stopped mining completely.
These units have not stopped mining for a year since removing the node. I now run a full LTC wallet/node on an old Raspberry PI b+.

The same problem was apparent from day one of Apollo BTC running full node too.
I would wake up to find one, two or all three units had failed during the aforementioned hours of the morning. I persisted for a month and a half.
Since stopping the node, the Apollo BTC has been running 3 months without failure.

It never made any sense for me to run the Apollo BTC unit with a full node as I have RASPIBLITZ on an 8gig raspberry PI which has a full BTC/LND nodes.

I can only suggest anyone with a similar internet provider problem do a week long experiment as I did and just stop the node all together to see if this helps until the software matures.

That's very interesting, I have also been having stability issues with my units. Someone else also mentioned a USB hub is more reliable, I will try disabling the full node and see if that makes things more stable

I've also still been having trouble keeping all 3 of my units hashing. A lot of the time one of them will drop off and stop hashing, after reading the messages above I tried moving down to Eco mode and they've been running stably since. I have the official futurebit PSU's that I'm using with them, so not sure if it's a power problem or something else. I'm likely gonna keep them on eco mode since the efficiency makes more sense for me with my high electric rate, but wanted to confirm so far turning down the hashrate has helped the stability issues I had with running 3 units (1 full 2 standard). Not sure if it's an internet connectivity issue since it seemed to happen while the rest of my internet is working just fine. I'm excited for future updates and sure the new firmware will be very helpful Smiley

Following up on this just to note that even on Eco mode I have had a unit stop hashing but it only requires one reboot to get things working again and it is generally still more stable than when I was on turbo

Thanks for the reply! Hmm, so I do have them connected via ethernet. I suppose it might be possible my ISP could be dropping my connection temporarily while I'm asleep, I'll give them a call and see if I can get any more info.

Another reason I came by to post on here for help is very recently, within the past couple days or so, I've become unable to get into the miner dashboard via IP. I've confirmed I have the right IP, see it on advanced IP scanner, but the dashboard doesn't load when I try to get into it via my desktop. It's a windows machine, and I tried chrome, brave, firefox, edge, IE and none of them loaded. My laptop has linux on it with chrome and the same IP loaded up the dashboard there, but it doesn't have complete info/it doesn't show any hashing info and how many boards are attached even if they're currently hashing.

I'm not too sure on why the dashboard suddenly stopped working on my windows desktop, it had been working fine for me for the past few months. Is there possibly some setting I might have flipped or some config that I need to change on my desktop? I'm having difficulty getting all 3 units to come online stably these past few days as well, the broken dashboard seems like it can send miner restart or reboot requests but I'm not too sure if they're working right. Power cycling seems to work temporarily until one or two of the units goes offline again. Do you think I should just try resetting all 3 units to factory config/I saw mention of reflashing the SD to do something like that, would you recommend trying that or waiting for a potential update?

Hello, I got a full node unit a while ago and it was working well for me so I picked up 2 standard units as well. For the most part things run smoothly, though on occasion I'll notice my hashrate loses 3 TH/it seems like one of the units stops hashing randomly but the other two keep going fine. This has happened pretty consistently for a while and generally I have to reboot the unit from the interface to get things working again. Does anyone know if there's a reason this might be happening or any way to increase the reliability of the units when they're linked together?

Also, it's awesome to see such active support in here. Excited about future updates!
