it's not for the profit - it's a hobby

the vibrations of the miner go through the wood and makes ugly noises. i have to get some stick-on-plastic-bumpers for the screws on the bottom. until this, is't on an envelope with bubblewrap inside

at the moment LTC ... i just wanted to start it and now i can take a look for a good coin :-)

moved it out of the little box and now the rig can have more fresh air
rpi/psus are underneath

they seem less loud to me
think it's a good design

i made a little update - got 3 new ASICs

1. Updated to Windows 7 - now all work at the same time - Thanks to all helpers here!
2. Attached 6 ASICs to the D-Link HUB
2.1 Attached the D-Link HUB to the "top-Slot" of the 4:1 HAMA HUB for a better air-flow to the bottom row
3. Attached 2 ASICs to the small 4:1 HAMA HUB on top of the D-LINK HUB
4. Attached the HAMA HUB with a Y-USB Cable to two USB Ports in the Netbook



The Fan is attached to another USB Port and i put it in a Tape-Holder - fittet perfectly :-)

Rig is running with about 2,66 GH/s

3x333MHs ASCIs and 1x2400 MHs ASIC are on the way - then my rig should be completed  
i will switch the D-Link HUB to two other HUBs with more Power and lesser price!

looks way better now

my "8-stick-plan" is to use 2x LogiLink UA0124 (http://www.logilink.eu/showproduct/UA0124.htm?seticlanguage=en) with 2x4 USB Miners.
i will return the DLink Hub to Amazon

we will see if i buy more sticks in the future ... don't know 

yay got my sticks now :-)


i hope the HW Errors will fall a little bit ... or are then "in the range"?

i got interested in Bitcoins and i ordered some USB Miners - i don't expect profit - i just do it for curiosity and hobby.

my Setup at the moment:

MSI u100 Netbook (Windows XP SP3) - admin via VNC
D-Link DUB-H7 - but will be replaced with 2x LogiLink UA0124 (after successful testing)
1 (perhaps 2) Arctic USB Breezers
I ordered 8 USB ASIC Miners for the first step

i suppose, that the first 5 USB Miners will arrive tomorrow - so i can start :-)
Already tried GPU Mining but with a geForce GTX660 it's a pain in the a**

perhaps i get a RaspberryPI for my birthday from my girlfriend *gg*

thank you for the tip! i will have an eye on it.

i will/can try it...

a.) Netbook with some Unix-OS
b.) RaspberryPI with MinePeon or something like this (would be better --> less power consumption *gg*)
