I know what you mean, dude...

I did the mistake of pre-ordering from BFL in August 2012.. just a SC Single with 60Gh/s, soon to be worthless.

I'll buy it from you. How many coins did you get from it so far?
Beats out my 8 Block Erupters...I'll take it from you when you think it's worthless, or give you a little bit of btc so you don't eat all of it...I'd love to have 60 GH/s rather than 2.673GH/s...

OK might have been exaggerating a bit... :-P I've made 4.5 BTC so far. but had major computer/network malfunctions in early october which caused my BFL Single to be offline for about a week. If I hadn't that problem..probably would've been a bit more btc there..
The thing still gets me some BTC so I shouldn't call it worthless just yet, I guess.. but it still pisses me off that I waited soooo long for it to arrive! Angry

But last ~2 weeks the reward have dropped dramatically for me.. I guess I had way too high expectations about it. (and about the difficulty)

So, basically; No I won't sell it yet Grin Cool

Hmm
I can get a BfL 60gh/s today for 2k cash.

Just wondering if you would do it ..? Not looking for a place to find one though thanks for the info!

And for 2k I just plug it in, I guess it might worth it.

I got my BFL Single a few days ago and mining with it on slush's pool. it takes 4-5 days (depending on pool luck) to earn 1 BTC at this difficulty.
But next difficulty level is estimated to be an increase of 34 million...   Cry
It gets me quite unsure wether or not I'll reach ROI on this. But since I got chip coupons from BFL I made contact with Lucko in order to make use of 'em and hopefully increase my hashing rate.  Cool

Ok nice that you got a good pay for them.
Like many other BFL customers I've become quite worried about ROI lately...according to my calculations it's possible to reach ROI before 2014 in my case, it all depends though..

Curious about HW Errors from BFL SC single (60Gh/s)

Hi everyone,

I recently received the 60Gh/s Single which I ordered from BFL a year ago. I've only mined with GPU's prior to receiving this ASIC product and when mining with the GPUs I never got HW Errors when mining with CGMiner.

But when mining with the BFL Single I am getting some Hardware errors, about 0.81%. Can anyone help me out in understanding this a bit more?
I have no idea if the 0.81% hw errors is a lot and/or if it's something to worry about.

I turned on Debug mode and logged it for some time to try understand what's going on.
The HW Error seems to be this (copy/paste from log): "BAS0: invalid nonce - HW error"

Anyone care to enlighten me a bit ?
I'll continue search for the answers, yet I've not quite understood everything regarding Bitcoin mining (for example "nonce", so far I don't understand what it is).

WW3 is less than a few months away. The bubbles in the US are getting ready to burst, they need to shift the blame. war, nukes, bombs, chemicals, we are all doomed

The war will start in the middle east: North to Israel is where the danger is right now (Hizballah and Syria) then, after the attack vs Israel begins, the rest of the world will have to follow and get in the conflict. Since Russia/Iran/China are backing Syria, when the US and European nations will get involved as well, it will be a conflict escalation into a WWIII.

So the middle east is where all eyes and ears should be pointed to and the recent 48 hours show it's happening right now as Hizballah said they are going to start a war vs Israel and Syria joined them saying the same thing.

Is there any news article or such you can link about this? I'm interested in reading some more on the subject.

Where do you store most of your coins for long term storage?

Just trying to get a feeling of where most users store there coins.

I have some at Bitcoin Fog. I have no gains in letting my BTC being traced so the BTC I wanna store for an extended period I just add to Bitcoin Fog.

The rest of my BTC I have in blockchain.info and Bitcoin-Qt wallets for spending and gambling Smiley

So the basic thrust of your arguement is US forces had self-exploding tanks, bombers who could not hit a beach, and generally incompetent leadership.  I believe you also ranted about WWI helmets, ugly casualty rates, fire bombing of cities, atomic weapons and fearsome enemies flying bamboo airplanes.

So, if the US forces were as incompetent as described why do the WWII nations of  Germany, Italy, Japan and USSR no longer exist?

Seems to me that despite all the faults, failures and just plain incompetence that you have so carefully located, the US soldier, sailor, airman and Marine simply kicked ass.  Something about being willing to say "NUTS".

So my question still remains.

Why should the US protect Europe, Japan, Taiwan or Korea?  Why should the US protect the Middle East oil fields when the majority of that product goes to Europe, Japan, and China?  What does the US care if heating oil prices in Europe skyrocket?

If you really think the US is going to get involved in your WW3 scenarios, you better explain why the US will be interested.

Actually if oil prices in Europe skyrocketed due to being cut off for example the american based oil producers would simply prioritize selling to Europe. Free market and all that so of course they will sell where they get the most profit. Its also fun how you always expect that everyone wants your help and you base that on WW2.... when the whole world had to band together against Germany.... Which is in Europe.... And is currently a much nicer country then America ever was.... I honestly dont see a problem with the Atlantic Ocean being between us right now. Could perhaps have been wider but one can dream.

I gave you ample evidence on Americas lack of morals, leadership, preparedness, priorities, realistic view point and training. The fact that you exist and X country dont has nothing to do with your "greatness" and you just claiming it is outright childish. A country does not need to be successful or unique in any way to persist. Cant you see how silly you are going "haha we lived longer then youuuu"?

You claim that Germany, Italy and Japan does no longer exist? They are far greater now then they ever were. Who do you think is leading the world in stuff like Technology, economy and social development? Who the heck needs oil when we get our electricity from green energy combined with nuclear power plants?

I believe USA will be the one to START WW3. No one else seams to bother except some arab countries that have not had peace since they invented the stick.

^This.
+1

Of course you are right. Germany and Japan is HUGE when it comes to technology.

I fear that my country of Sweden would take side with US when the time of war comes... since we no longer have the military resources to defend ourselves, we kind of have to take side with SOMEONE. I don't want any part of that stuff so I'd probably just travel 1100 miles north and go back to basics!

Bitcoins will be my last attempt when WWIII exploded. Here real thing we shoud have.

1. Gold
2. Clean Water
3. Land for farming
4. Livestock
5. Bow and horses

LOL why no.1 is Gold? You gonna make nice gold necklaces for your eventually starved-to-death body ? ^^

I mean, there would be better imho to prioritize food and water. Points 2-5 is what I'd care about. Bling-bling can wait.

OK perhaps the TV has brainwashed me enough when it comes to the nuke thingie..I admit : >

Nothing bad about muslims. If something, it's the religion that bothers me, not the people.
It was talk about war country against country but I just wanted to make as an example, that if extremists (of any religion) get their hands on big-ass bombs, it can go bad as well. Religion hunting down other religions like never before, etc.

The thought of war gets me really scared nowadays.. The leaders of the country I'm from (Sweden) has admitted that the past years of reduced funds to military and defense has led to that in case of an invasion, we will not be able to defend ourselves. Embarrassed

There sure are tension between many countries.. And the crazy terrorist groups are very dangerous as well. If extremists of the ideology and religion Islam, for example, get their hands on some nukes some really terrible things will happen.

The largest exchange not being on US Soil is bad for the Government. What's not in the US can't be controlled. Gox gave them an excuse to shut down their accounts. Any excuse would have done.

I would guess the US government is pissed off like never before because of this. ^^ The US loves to control stuff.. at least that's what the rest of the world thinks.

I keep my fingers crossed that MtGox gives the US govt as close to nothing regarding customers' credentials and similar info. I do believe that's actually the case. Japanese as well as the chinese purposely perform less than their potential when they know it would result in gains for another country or a company that was founded by another country. This mentality I've noticed a lot when I've worked abroad in these countries... I think it's part of their culture, to be such nationalists and do everything they can to favour their motherland. I encourage this!

So...some people who do not pay income taxes should be eligible to use government services?

Oil companies get military escorts for their tankers and skate from taxes every year.

Fuck it. Just kill the poor that are too weak to work in the camps. That's where this conversation usually ends up.

Good, now that question is answered and out of the way.

Next question, plzz?

For me it's more or less cause of fear, I guess. Here in Sweden the ones that gets really REALLY serious sentences in courts are usually the ppl prosecuted for tax evasion and tax related frauds, that kinda stuff. Crime involving violence, robbery, also murder you get away pretty easily.. For example a guy in my town got prosecuted recently for murder, they were able to prove he handled the corpse at some point but were not able to prove that he murdered the guy. So the guy got out and the murderer is still on free foot...fucking bullshit.

Anyhow, I'm not yet paying any tax for Bitcoin cause I've not yet cashed out. But when/if I do I will think more closely about wether or not to pay tax on it. But since the government is spending the tax money on complete bullshit things I'll probably go for the latter.  Angry

I've noticed this too.. It's really a bummer, not sure what causes it.
It most certainly ain't anything regarding fees. I've had numerous transactions with fees of 0.0015 (which I considered quite high when value was around $200/BTC) which didn't enter 3 and sometimes 4 blocks mined. Something else is causing this delay...

Here is something I wonder about:

Since you know the problems in Cyprus, why did you wait until they froze your assets?

I'd be there closing the account in the matter of minutes after I hear the news.

Actually I would have withdrawn them when the crysis hit Greece, since your economies are linked.

Hath you moved the moeny to St. Mauritius, now you'd be happy and rich, and not sad with 15% of your assets.

Here is a lesson to be learned.

Thank you Captain Hindsight!!
