Just for the record, I was unable to recover any more BTC. The following addresses of mine hold the secured BTC:
... 18a1RoNu3WRneMimHEUYAB9FTmnhymagW1
The coins that are now at this address belonged to a guy who used his email address as the label for his primary receiving address. I've contacted him and he is in full panicmode (not a native English speaker, so I don't think the "I have your coins, they are safe" part got through completely). So these coins at least are accounted for.
This guy has his coins back now. The bulk of the remaining coins came from these two addresses in the same wallet:
If they are yours, please contact me with some evidence (a copy of your wallet.dat to start and we can work from there) and we'll see what can be worked out.
If nobody claims them, I would like the community to decide what should be done with them. I don't want to be a part of that discussion since, by controlling the funds, I have a conflict of interest.
Tried to contact you through both mail and PM here.. but you haven't responded

I had a lot of problem with idling miner when I used bitcoinpool... I switched pool - problem's gone..which is very unfortunate for bitcoinpool..but they need the server power to handle the load..
There is a cryptographic way to prevent this scam. When you go to potentiallyshadylottery.com they generate a random number between 1-1000 which determines if you win or lose. They md5 this number. Also to prevent rainbowtables they add random garble at the end. Now, you decide if you want to just see the random number, or if you want to play. If you play, the random number is revealed and you can verify that it wasn't by checking the hash. To verify that the distribution is fair, you "peek" at a lot of random numers and check their hashes. If it checks out, you know the distribution is ok. Since the operator can't know whether youll peek or play, there is no way for him to different play vs peek distributions.
But does lotteries have that? And do (most) people check if they do have things to prevent fraud?

Even tech-savvy guys can do mistakes when it comes to security. Or take risk they shouldn't.
