Re: Claymore's ZCash/BTG GPU Miner v12.6 (Windows/Linux)

I'm trying to get v12.6 to work on Ubuntu 14.04.1. I have to stay on this version due to my old graphics cards (HD7950).

When I try to run it, I get the following error:
Code:
./zecminer64: relocation error: ./zecminer64: symbol _ZNSt7__cxx1112basic_stringIcSt11char_traitsIcESaIcEEC1EPKcRKS3_, version GLIBCXX_3.4.21 not defined in file libstdc++.so.6 with link time reference

Through adding ppa:ubuntu-toolchain-r/test, I believe I have a later version available, i.e. GLIBCXX_3.4.24.

Code:
strings /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libstdc++.so.6 | grep LIBCXX

Is the hash rate reported on the command line accurate or do I need to wait to see what the pool says after (say) 30 mins? I'm tweaking my settings and overclocking, but I'm not sure what to trust.

Yes, what a mess indeed. I rather suspect that everything I've mined up to now will come to nothing.

Thanks for recommendations. Generated a new wallet on https://btgwallet.online/#newAddress

The captcha on makes logging in a 3 minute process supernova.cc

On the BTG slack channel, they seem to be recommending http://btgpool.pro/ Anyone tried this?

So Coinomi still showing that BTG blockchain not launched and pool.gold look incompetent at best (scam at worst). Any recommendations on a trustworthy wallet and pool that does work for BTG?

I suspect this might be a silly/newb question, but I'll ask anyway.

Mining BTG with my GPU, and in the space of 5 minutes, the hash rate reported by ZecMiner dropped by about 25%. Is there something external that causes this to happen, e.g. difficulty adjustment, or do I have a problem with my miner?

Hi, I'm mining LiteCoins on CoinHuntr. Say the current hash rate is 450 KH/s for a card, the effective hash rate is listed as something like 300 MH/s. Now if only that were true! Is it just a simple mislabelling, i.e. the effective rate is 300 KH/s? If not, is there a way to get the effective column working correctly?

Thanks.

Okay, so err, my GFX card has just decided to start accepting the new VDDC settings. I didn't do anything, other than write this post.  Huh Roll Eyes

Under-volting BIOS update but VDDC unchanged

I have a couple of cards, a PowerColor HD7850 and a VTX3D HD7770. I'm trying to under-volt the VTX3D 7770 initially.

Even though atiflash says it worked, when I start GUIMiner the VDDC is reported at 1.175v, even though I've modified the BIOS for a lower value. Have tried VDDC settings of 1125, 1075 and 1025.

The steps I took are:
- Used VBE7 (0.0.7b) to:
  - backup the original BIOSs
  - modify the VTX3D 7770's BIOS fan profile and VDDC State 1 - Performance
- Booted into DOS and used the atiflash (4.17) to flash the new bios to the VTX3D

The change in fan profile does seem to have worked, but not the VDDC settings. Have I missed a basic step??

OS is Win 8.1.
