Re: Is airdrop a good idea before ICO?

Hi, there!

In my opinion, the airdrop campaign is vital in order to promote an ICO.
Is the easiest way to attract various investors and promote your product at the same time.
Although, you must be very cautious because there are many scams and you can easily lose your money.

Best of luck!

Re: Eth + Decred
by
andrei.dr
on 20/04/2018, 15:55:39 UTC
Hello guys,

I'm fairly new to the whole mining topic (yeah, I missed the train and stuff like that but I started mostly because of interest. I do it on my PC ;-) ).

I got the Claymore Dual Miner Up and Running with my Eth Wallet and everything seems to be fine.

So now I wondered about the Dual Mining feature.
I struggle setting this up. What I did:
  • Created a wallet at https://wallet.decred.org
  • Got a decred wallet address
  • Searched for a decred pool
  • Modified the start batch file for Claymore Miner

So the batch now looks like this:
Code:
setx GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR 0
setx GPU_MAX_HEAP_SIZE 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_SINGLE_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
EthDcrMiner64.exe -epool eu2.ethermine.org:4444 -ewal ethwallet -epsw x -ethi 1 -dpool stratum+tcp://stratum.decredpool.org:3343  -dwal decredwallet -dpsw x

Claymore starts up with
ETH: Authorized
Setting DAG epoch #xx...
DCR: Stratum connecting to ...
DCR: Stratum - Connected
DCR: Authorization failed
: (null)

Can someone help me to clarify what this means? All shares from DCR will be rejected.

Thanks in advance,
Zuop

Hello! I've also missed the train in this matter, but I recently got informed very well about this. I hope that was useful to you!

Re: Will There Be a "Digital Run" on the Banks?
by
andrei.dr
on 19/04/2018, 10:59:25 UTC
Do you think so?

I certainly do. Not a matter of if, but when...

Here's the case:

1. Have bank runs happened in the past?
YES! Many many many times. Runs on the banks have happened since banks existed. Here are a few links to show you the proof:

-https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_banking_crises#21st_century

2. Are Governments scared of crypto? Could Crypto replace the dollar and fiat currencies?
YES! They are shaking in their boots because they know the end of Fiat is near. Governments are now running all directions trying to figure out what to do with crypto. Russian, Venezuela, and other governments are starting to create their own cryptocurrencies to coax the public to adopting them. India, pakistan, china and others are trying to ban crypto all together... but know their efforts will be futile. Europe, US and other nations are trying to 'embrace' cryptocurrency, because they know that it's inevitable that they adapt their business model or perish.

The dollar's days are numbered and will soon be replaced as the world's reserve currency. There is FINALLY an alternative to the dollar and the world knows this.

The truth is that cryptos WILL replace fiat currency. This will cause the price of crypto to skyrocket and the dollar to hyperinflate. The dollar will hyper inflate to crypto and many will wake up only to find out that their dollars are worthless.... because it will not require such a large amount of fiat to purchase any cryptocurrency of value (think if bitcoin in fact did go up to $100K).

Here is some proof for your reading pleasure:

3. What does the IMF and Big Banks Say about Crypto? Is the financial world worried about crypto?
YES! They are all very worried because their business models are all being threatened. The IMF has now come out multiple times saying that that crypto could disrupt business models, and will present challenges for banks  and central banks. They know fiat's days are numbered.

Today the IMF chief Christine Lagarde said this:

"Moreover, banks and other financial institutions will face challenges to their business models, should there be a large-scale shift away from government-issued currencies toward crypto-assets. Regulators might find it harder to ensure the stability of a more diffuse and decentralized financial system. Central banks might have more trouble acting as the lender of last resort in case of a crisis."

Here are a few more things the IMF has said about crypto: https://www.google.com/search?q=imf+crypto&oq=imf+crypto&aqs=chrome..69i57j0j69i60j0l3.1565j0j7&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8

What does Bank of America and Chase Bank have to say about this? Well take a gander below....

-https://www.google.com/search?q=bank+of+america+crypto&oq=bank+of+america+crypto&aqs=chrome..69i57j0l5.7669j0j7&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8

They have repeatedly said that crypto is a threat to their business and that they need to adapt or die. They see the writing on the wall. They have also tried to claim bitcoin is a fraud/scam because they are scared of it.

What about Goldman Sachs?
They are trying to actual embrace and enter the market because they know that the revolution is coming. They have now started acquiring crypto-related companies such as Poloniex (crypto exchange) and Circle (app to text people cryptocurrency via phone). They have also stated that crypto is a threat to their business. See the proof below...

4. So Where Does That Leave Us?
Well... we all need to embrace and transition to crypto from fiat. The sooner you do this, the better for you.

The writing is on the wall. This will happen.

There will be a digital run on the banks.

People will convert fiat to crypto at an alarming rate as this rocket ship takes off. This will cause hyperinflation of fiat currencies around the world... which will only accelerate the adoption of crypto and push the prices higher.

If you're reading this... you are doing something right.... welcome to the club.

Many of the 'new rich' and 'future elite' are amongst us. Place nice and help others understand what is going on.

Cheers!
Crypto Camacho

Indeed, cryptocurrencies do not yet have a major impact on FIAT, but banks are extremely interested in creating possibilities for adapting to the crypto world. However, governments have the last word to say about this subject and we do not have much, but to hope for an environment favourable to our own investments.

Re: Global Cryptocurrency Regulations 2018
by
andrei.dr
on 19/04/2018, 10:33:25 UTC
Cryptocurrencies ended 2017 on a high; as more people put money in them, exchanges sprung up all over the world and new cryptocurrency-based products were developed. However, several high-profile crypto exchange hacks, as well as cases of illicit financial flows and businesses, are using cryptos as the medium of exchange; thus, they have put the market under increased scrutiny as 2018 kicks into gear.

Now, some of the cryptocurrencies have pulled back from their all-time highs; thus, the issue of cryptocurrency regulation is on the front burner. Industry stakeholders and governments struggle to find common ground on the way forward.

Keep Reading:
https://www.tokens24.com/cryptopedia/basics/global-cryptocurrency-regulations-2018

To be honest I am surprised that a decentralized system as it is meant to be cryptocurrencies is all about to be introduced into the hard of the laws of governments. I believe that this "legalization" is intended to be both for the benefit of the ordinary investor as well as for specialized services providers.

Re: Which coin has more potential than Bitcoin?
by
andrei.dr
on 19/04/2018, 10:04:34 UTC
When you think of coding money, you often think of Bitcoin. But now, Bitcoin seems to have become "outdated" and the following altcoin threaten Bitcoin's market dominance in the future. Here I am talking about the Nano(XRB). Nano can handle 7,000 transactions per second and this rate can increase over time and can even compete with Visa.  The secret behind this is the block network architecture, which allows transactions to be processed extremely rapidly. This transaction speed allowed the Nano to become a potential co-dominant market for Bitcoin's pre-encoding market.
What do you think about XRB?

Over the latter months of 2017 and the first few months of 2018, the Cryptocurrency world has seen the rise of many competitors who have challenged the position of Bitcoin.  Ethereum, Monero, Ripple, etc are all posited to be the next best thing after Bitcoin. Many analysts have also speculated that bitcoin’s bubble will explode, allowing other cryptocurrencies to claim the second place. I am positive also about Nano but, I don't think it could endanger the position of the Bitcoin.

Re: 3 Reasons why Bitcoin is Going Up!
by

After The Pump Of Yesterday This Is 3 Reasons Why Bitcoin Is Going Up !

#1  Yahoo Japan to buy miniority stake in cryptocurrency exchange :

Yahoo! Japan Corporation (TYO: 4689) announced on Friday that it is entering the cryptocurrency space. The company expects to launch an “easy-to-use exchange” for cryptocurrencies in the fall of this year, Nikkei elaborated.
Founded in January 1996 as a joint venture between Yahoo! and Japanese multinational conglomerate Softbank, Yahoo! Japan continues to dominate the Japanese internet industry while Yahoo! has been declining in popularity since the late 2000s.

#2 Islamic Scholar Says Bitcoin is Compliant With Sharia Law as Price Surges :
A recent declaration by an Islamic scholar that Bitcoin is compliant with Sharia law could be the cause behind today’s $1000 price surge, opening the market to Muslim investors who were previously unsure if the cryptocurrency qualified as money under the strict definitions outlined by scholars.
Muslims account for 23% of the world’s population, with 1.6 billion Muslims throughout the world, mostly in Asia Pacific nations like India and Indonesia. Sharia Law, or Islamic Canonical Law, prohibits the practice of lending money at high-interest rates, known as usury. Debate has raged since the popularity of Bitcoin in the Islamic Scholar community as to whether Bitcoin trading was a form of usury due to the volatility and huge profit and loss margins.

In my opinion, Bitcoin will remain the most important virtual currency since its appearance in 2008 but is not and will not remain the only virtual currency. Strangely, it will hold on to the other virtual currencies and will continue to grow. Many countries have legalized the virtual coins, while others have their own virtual currency. It says a lot about the stability and the importance of both Bitcoin and other virtual currencies.

Re: Will bitcoin be the currency of the future?
by
andrei.dr
on 18/04/2018, 09:30:09 UTC
Bitcoin provides an inescapable database for the age of artificial intelligence. Bitcoin, a challenge to the haphazard distribution of wealth, has challenged all wealth hegemony. He fulfilled the promise of equality before wealth and broke the existing law of distribution of wealth. The hope of the future development of the currency has been seen, and the people have seen the hope of solving the financial crisis. Digital standard currency, regional chain standard currency era, it has become a world currency unified solid bridge, it will break the wealth create monopoly power, long time, any money before it is fragile, what is the gold standard and silver standard, dollars are rubbish, who is the next monetary unification the rookie of The Times, the replacement of main currency will evolve?

Replacing the primary forms of payment will definitely evolve. In my opinion, Bitcoin is just the first virtual currency created in this sense, but it is not and will not remain the only virtual currency that will be used as an alternative payment to the usual model.

Re: Possibilities of regulating cryptos...
by
andrei.dr
on 18/04/2018, 08:26:15 UTC
The fact that digital assets like cryptocurrency uses blockchain technology gives it the advantage of not being controlled by anyone even the government. That is why some governments prefer to ban cryptos just not to give oppurtunity for bad people to use it for their bad motives/actions. Regulating cryptos are not as simple as peeling of a banana, it'll take long talking and discussion.

As to the left and right scams involving the name of bitcoin, fraud and other illegal doings that bitcoin's name is being dragged, what are the possibilities that cryptos will be regulated? Thank you..

The possibility that the cryptocurrencies be legalized is a very large one. But we should not forget that it is a speculative market and people are still very reluctant when it comes to investment. Personally, I want more security with regard to the exchange of cryptocurrencies and if this involves a firm action from the authorities and/or the governments then I completely agree.
