Let's summarize who is willing to invest how much JPC or BTC for fix a wallet.

I can invest 10 mil JPC.

I don't know if we should try to get JPC to some exchange or wait until fix is done.
Linux wallet is working, GUI is responding.

Maybe if JPC is on some exchange and have a price, stronger motivation for fix could be.

I can also invest 10 mil JPC

Windows daemon works as well. It's just the QT gui wallet that has problems.

Which exchange is available? I looked at stocks.exchange but they want 0.5 to 1 BTC to list coins and to put it mildly... their site suck... and therefor I though perhaps they listed coins for free to attrackt business but I was wrong. Is there any exchange that put coins on for free or lower fee's? I think it would be hard to raise 0.5 BTC to get JPC added.

Yes, exactly, I have just created virtual machine with 4cores(2 cores would be enough maybe) 5GB RAM and 30GB HDD, 20 is enough I think.
Than, launch jackpotcoin Linux wallet 1.4. , shut down, copy last DB files  with wallet.dat and launch again.
That's all.

Thanks for your advice. I got Ubuntu running on Oracle VirtualBox with 4GB mem and 3 cores and 30GB harddrive.. got jackpotcoin-qt started and synced etc.. and yeeeees even my big wallet file worked Smiley I could see ALL my coins... its really slow but not impossible slow as it was on windows...

one question, do you know if there is a way to turn on coin control on the linux version?

For a few days of using Linux 1.4. wallet I can say, that it is staking really nice and wallet is responding. It is taking 100% of one cpu(core) and 2.1GB RAM , but not a problem with crashing or something.
I have got around 90 000 transactions.

I recommend to use some virtual machine (VMWare for example) , with Ubuntu (2 cores + 4-5GB RAM would be enough) installed and just launch Linux JPC wallet.

So it is possible to use a wallet, but if anybody can fix the Windows wallet , it would really help.

So all you did was installing ubuntu as a virtual server on VMWare and could then start jackpotcoin without the need of installning anyting else? I tried on a ubuntu server I have but it asked for a bunch of files that I couldnt find anywhere. But to do as you describe would be awesome.

My wallet is over 50MB and on Windows wallet I couldn't run it, always crashing.
I have tried to install virtual machine with ubuntu and launch Linux wallet, then copy blockchain from alst year, sync and now it is working / staking as well.
So Linux Wallet is working. I recommend to use it.

It is not a solution, but so far ...

If anybody can fix a Windows wallet it would be really great.

There were suggested some millions of JPC for Fix. Then let's get JPC back to some Exchange.

After a lot of testing and some more testing I finally got access to my JPC accounts on windows 10. How ever my accounts has so many transactions that both the QT and the Daemon crashes when I start them... but when I divided my accounts in 3 parts and imported them into 3 different wallet files it worked from the Daemon (jackpotcoind.exe) and I can send commands to it, see my balance etc..

I haven't managed to get it working on Linux yet though but I will try some more there.

Anyway, I'm willing to put in some BTC and millions of JPC to get JPC going again. We need a working wallet for Windows, Mac and Linux. A wallet we can count on to start as expected.

Who else is in?
Where can we find a developer?

things are not going like I want them to... jackpotcoin-qt.exe keeps crashing doesnt matter what I do... so now I'm trying with the Daemon, jackpotcoind.exe ... it seem to work and it downloads all blockchain etc... however I'm supposed to be able to send commands to the daemon but how?

I start it in a regular command prompt window but after it has read the blockchain it doesnt give me a way to enter commands. Anyone know how to use it in a proper way or can direct me to some documenation?

G:\JackpotCoin>jackpotcoind.exe -conf=G:\JackpotCoin\JackpotCoin.conf -datadir=G:\JackpotCoin

My wallet is crashing as well.16gb RAM , Ryzen 5,  Is there any posibility to use just some console wallet for recreating new wallet file without transactions?
Or anybody recompiled wallet for linux?

i used the linux wallet 1.4.1 from google drive link on page 1 and i am almost done moving all my JPC to a new wallet. it was letting me send 500k at a time now without failing now im down to 75k each time.

would it be possible for you to send the blockchain files to me since it sounds like you have an up to date blockchain? Smiley Google drive or anything else would work fine.

I might have a solution, just need to clarify in my post above and then try if it works I'll write a guide how I did it.

I think I have found a way to access my JPC... I have over 100k transaction in my wallet so the client gets so slow its impossible to use the client or it simply crash.

How ever I found a way to move the coins to a NEW wallet with a NEW address.

Will that destroy my staking/minting since the coins I have is OLD most from 2014... and I assume they will become brand new. Does that affect my staking in some way?

Hey Andy, your daemon is not fully synced.

Take a look here https://forum.dero.io/t/dero-blockchain-sync-problem/21

Thank you! That thread fixed my problem Smiley

Hi, nice coin!

I have a little problem... I have been mining on http://pool.dero.live and have about 20 Dero mined. It also says 4 diffrent payments has been issued but none of them has arrived to my wallet.

I have restarted, refreshed, recovered my wallet from scratch etc. etc. but balance still att 0. I have a bit experience before from Electroneum and Monero but in this case I have no clue what I should do to get my wallet running.

Your wallet has been generated!
To start synchronizing with the daemon, use "refresh" command.
Use "help" command to see the list of available commands.
Always use "exit" command when closing dero-wallet-cli to save your
current session's state. Otherwise, you might need to synchronize
your wallet again (your wallet keys are NOT at risk in any case).

PLEASE NOTE: the following 25 words can be used to recover access to your wallet. Please write them down and store them somewhere safe and secure. Please do not store them in your email or on file storage services outside of your immediate control.

**********************************************************************
Restore from specific blockchain height (optional, default 0),
or alternatively from specific date (YYYY-MM-DD):

Balance: 0.000000000000, unlocked balance: 0.000000000000

got my wallet to open in linux. tried to send 20,000 JPC crashed as soon as i hit send  Angry

got the linux wallet working now. looks like max i can send it 500,000 jpc. working on moving all my coins to a new wallet now!!! whoever  is having an issue with their windows wallet crashing every time should try it on linux for sure

I'm trying on Debian right now but im not sure if its working or not... I'm at the "make" part now:

Project MESSAGE: Building without IPv6 support
Project MESSAGE: Building with UPNP supportProject MESSAGE: Building without IPv6 supportmake: Warning: File 'jackpotcoin-qt.pro' has modification time 441 s in the future
/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/qt4/bin/qmake -o Makefile jackpotcoin-qt.pro
Project MESSAGE: Building with UPNP support
Project MESSAGE: Building without IPv6 support

So I guess I will see in 441 seconds from now if it works or back to try again Smiley ... How did you manage to install all the old libs and stuff needed?

I would like to try the Linux version but there was only 2 files so I assume I need to compile the wallet deamon my self? Is there any guide for that? I'm not very good with Linux but I do have a few Linux servers I could try out on.

This was in my debug.log when I tried to use a "old" small JPC wallet and the wallet deamon tried to "catch up":

01/15/18 23:25:04 Flushing wallet.dat
01/15/18 23:25:04 Flushed wallet.dat 428ms

01/15/18 23:25:40 mapBlockIndex.size() = 4917242
01/15/18 23:25:40 nBestHeight = 4210500
01/15/18 23:25:40 setKeyPool.size() = 102
01/15/18 23:25:40 mapWallet.size() = 104157
01/15/18 23:25:40 mapAddressBook.size() = 10
01/15/18 23:25:40 Error creating thread: boost::thread_resource_error: An attempt was made to load a program with an incorrect format

Anyone knows something that can fix the "thread resource error" ?

My computer spec: Intel I7 cpu, 32Gb mem and SSD drives. So there should be plenty of resources.

Thx.

PS. I noticed that jackpotcoin.info isnt looking as it usually looks, if hosting is a problem I can host the site for free, same with a explorer if it that is needed.

I also have a problem with my wallet.dat file. If I start JackpotCoin QT with an empty wallet it will sync 100% but if I then quit QT and restart with my wallet.dat file it crashed right after the "Loading block index" finishes. My wallet.dat file is about 72mb large and contain many thousands of transaction and I assume that is the reason it crashes. Is it some how possible to use the wallet with CLI instead?

I also want to have JPC going again. I've been online since the start (here under the name andy2009, lost my pw and can't seem to recover it since feature refuse to work here?)...

anyway, I can also throw in millions of JPC and also other currencies like BTC if any dev i motivated to continue the development of JPC!

JPC is the coin that I had the most fun dealing with since I started with this back in 2013 Smiley
