Re: .10 promotion from ASICMiner distribution by CanaryInTheMine #2

I have at least 8-9 PMs with him back and forth on this coupon thing. The only responses I got from him was "Read the OP" or "Let me know if you don't want the coupons".  Charging 50% of a 0.1 coupon for shipping simply does not make sense, especially since this a gratuity for previous purchases. This is close to $35 for 5 sticks, when I was able to print the label for around $5. This probably discourages folks to re-deem the coupons so the sticks can be sold later for a profit.

I send payment for 5 units allowed by my coupon 0.1 coupon (.5 btc) and send a shipping label as instructed in the OP.
I get a PM saying I need to send 0.15 btc per coupon and that the cost is 0.15.
Why is the cost of a 0.10 coupon 0.15 when shipping has already been paid?
This is a total scam!

At FedEx dropping off international orders. All but 1 FedEx went out. PM for the one went out. The rest will receive tracking numbers later.

All USPSes went out.  I think about 3 or 4 folks received a PM where there was an issue with transaction.  These will be resolved tonight still and head out in AM.

This was a crazy day!!  Grin

There are no extra units from today's delivery.

I will be receiving another large batch in 2-3 days from friedcat.

Received 2000 units and shipped them. All done in one day by Canary and elves! Wow! Smiley
Puts BFL to shame.  Cheesy

Beta period seems to be over with no blocks found. What will happen to all the bonuses that were announced during beta. Forfeited?

LHB,

Good to see you up and running!

Please scroll through this page to see explanation of the display items:
https://github.com/luke-jr/bfgminer

Briefly.
ICA 1:      | 333.4/339.5Mh/s | A: 22 R:0 HW:1

means:
ICA 1 is the eruptor #
333.6M/332.2Mh/s are the current and average values.
A: 22 Is the total number of shares accepted by the eruptor.
HW: 1 Is the total number of hardware errors for that eruptor.

The A: 274 in the first line is the total number of shares for all eruptors.

Looks like your eruptor #6 is getting a lot of hardware errors. You can try to remove and re-plug it back in.
Add a fan for cooling etc. It might be a bad unit.
The usual number of hardware errors for the eruptors is around 0.8%. HW error % = HW/A * 100.

Hope this helps.

I am willing to give minepeon a try, can you please point me to download and build instructions.

Grab the latest off the wiki (http://minepeon.com/index.php/Main_Page) there are also instructions how to use it there.

Neil

Thanks, I will give a try on my 2nd RPI!

[…]I have always been curious as to why MinePeon does not appear to be affected.

Perhaps something Arch Linux has over Raspbian?

I had to roll back to cgminer 3.1.1 to get multiple eruptors playing nice.

fwiw - I plan on trying MinePeon asap - nice work.

Just rolled back to 3.1.1 and voila and it works Smiley
Thanks!

Wondering if anyone else has seen this problem and if it might be due to version 3.3.0, since there are posts in this thread of folks running multiple usb erupters with a raspberry pi.

It can be done, here is another screenshot for you;-

http://mineforeman.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/07/NewStats.png

That's 1 x BFL Jalapeño (VERY old version) running alongside 9 Block Eruptors.  I have heard that there has been stability problems with the AMU driver (even the cgminer authors say that there might be) but I have always been curious as to why MinePeon does not appear to be affected.

Is there any chance I could convince you to download MinePeon and see if it makes a difference?

Neil

Thanks for the response. Yes I believe you... I even tried cgminer-3.2.1 as shown in screen shot of earlier post by whonesta, but I get same issue... 2-3 shares accepted, all leds light, wait 60 secs and then attempting restart... and cycle continues.

I am willing to give minepeon a try, can you please point me to download and build instructions.
Thanks.

Just got 5 erupters from group buy and would really like to get them all working together on the R PI. Smiley

I have been running cgminer version 3.3.0 on a raspberry pi/D-link 7port HUB with a single usb erupter for days without any problems.

However, when I put more than one usb erupter into the hub I can barely get one or two shares before all the leds light up on all erupters and they stop hashing.

Wondering if anyone else has seen this problem and if it might be due to version 3.3.0, since there are posts in this thread of folks running multiple usb erupters with a raspberry pi.
Thanks.

All but 6 international shipments have gone out.

Those 6 are being contacted with additional questions/instructions.

Yes, ALL other have gone out and some who have orders in group 8 as well, have their group 8 items included in this shipment as well.

Enjoy!

Thanks Canary!

Folks, if you could say a prayer for my uncle who is at http://www.stanthonynorth.org/ trying to come out of his coma (heart attack a few days ago) that would be much much appreciated and severely needed...  docs are seriously concerned about the state of his brain function... atm they are taking him off the breathing machine to see if he can start breathing on his own with sedation.  The first time they took him off, he only lasted for 30 mins... Sad

Canary,

Best wishes for your uncle. My prayers are with him. He will pull through!
